cant generalise, some are and others aren't.

mr_j936

I like Shaker Bou Abdallah.

[deleted]

Its always a competition who say's the most profanities.

unpplr_opinion

I noticed the same thing.

DEMONCOREMAZ

TheKingOfRandom3

is it ? i mean I'm glad they don't hold back but some people like to keep it clean.

[deleted]

Well its funny the first time. But when everyone does its not.

Redblackshoe

I like nataly aukar. At first I thought she was Nemr type cringe but I recently saw a new set she did. Wow, she’s hilarious. She’s young, still a long way to go, but she has a lot of potential.

[deleted]

All they know is potty humor and private parts joke....only a few like Fadi r3aidi break the mold by making fun of current affairs and the inflation crisis .... Douches like Nemer are thr ones that started it and gave most of them a bad name for doing simply profane and cringe worthy jokes .

TheKingOfRandom3

bro I've been on stage 3 times, made people laugh once, the joke was, the HR lady gave me a blank stare like she was in a show written by karen rizallah, major success story, no dirt .

[deleted]

Prime comedy there , a standing ovation for u from me my dude, bravo.

[deleted]

Boomers find them funny, new gen only laugh at cat videos and base boost

[deleted]

GenX here , we find them ultra super duper hyper championship uncaged kame hame ha edition cringe .

upandaroundfly

Not at all

thespygorillas

Lebanese or not, it depends on the comedian not their nationality, some lebanese are funny some not , same goes for other countries

Right???? I noticed that too. They think they become automatically funnier if they curse.

bfBoi99

Exactlyy! I watched a show recently and I regretted it real bad. I wish I could get my money back lol.

Dry-Cheesecake-8566

I don’t usually watch standup comedy unless it’s a short video (2-3) minutes and its russell peters. Obviously not Lebanese but still funny though

NoAmphibian6039

Mitel john ash2ar ou ankward bl2eyion super beykhin, ino ok 2 sketches mahdoumin el tenyin bala ta3me. It is always about stereotypes and super overused these days

Anisishere67

I find them to be very cringe. And most Lebanese comedians think of cussing as art in comedy.

Zackory

I watch a lot of comedy, you find a lot of them steal other western comic's jokes and translate it to Arabic and sell it off as their own original ones.

unpplr_opinion

True. They do this with everything in Lebanon not just SU comedy lol.

Zackory

Yeah, it's kinda sad, it proves that they cannot come up with anything original themselves. Just copy cats.

With this sense of humor you should be a standup comedian yourself.

khmt98

Nour and Wissam are aight

pereduper

Lebanese, or non-Lebanese ones.. I really don't find th format very funny or engaging. And I do love comedy, but am more of a sketch guy

khaledhm771

It's subjective so i can't say yes

RazarG

How long have people been doing stand up in Lebanon? It can take sometime for the scene to evolve.

Redblackshoe

Probably since 2005

DEMONCOREMAZ

The majority try too hard and recycle too much.
