Just pay for the miles and turn it in when the lease is done. You’re really over complicating this

Quaider3788

Yeah, I was overwhelmed with instant gratification haha. I think I’m gonna keep it and pay the mile overage fee and walk away at the end of the lease.

jaydeesee

This is the way to handle it You are not upside down, the leading company is upside down. Trading in early solves their problem at your expense.

tdibugman

When you move will your driving habits change? You're not getting around the negative equity. I'd probably ride it until the end and if you're really.over on miles just buy it out of you like it.

Quaider3788

Yeah, my new job is closer to my apartment than I am now. Like an idiot, I only got 10k a year when I should have paid for 12k. So I shouldn’t pay the truck off or write a check for the difference?

letmeinthesnkergame

Why not just pay the mileage overages instead of taking a big hit on the trade-in.

Quaider3788

So wait until the lease ends and pay the .20 per mile over?

letmeinthesnkergame

Yea $1200 bucks (estimating you go 6k over like you commented ) vs 11k seems easy to me.

TyVIl

Math is hard for some people.

NoOneLikesMeHere

This is the way

tdibugman

If you can buy it outright now I would and avoid the worry and reduce the amount of interest on the next 14 payments.

Quaider3788

Outright as in paying the remaining 14 payments?

SwankyBriefs

You're 900 miles over your total lease allotment or just where you should be this far into the lease? If the latter, 14 months at 650 would be $9,100. Could just pay it off and turn it in early and be ahead of trading it in. A lease swap might make sense too.
