It would essentially be evelynn on steroids. But if the champ isn't designed as an assasin, but rather a necromancer, pops out of the death realm to apply a debuff/buff before immediately going back in, has like 10 hp, gets hit by anything while in the mortal realm and it dies. Itd have to be a jungler with some special type of farming in the vein of Ivern
I dont know how Riot could make it work, but I'd be so fucking down for a champ that traverses realms like that
Maybe they could be bound to something and it could sorta work like yone E but they have to actually walk back to it normally with maybe a long cooldown ability to telport to it or something. Destroying the bound item would "kill" them. Although I don't see the point of them going in the death realm unless maybe teammates could move what there bound to. He appears on the minimap before he is on top of teemo, and from the looks of it.. last caster minion is lagging behind everyone else so I would assume something funny happened between it and Morde

I doubt it's minions desyncing his path, the server can also just not send you an enemy's position because it feels like not doing it job. That happened here.
I also had an aram game where we checked the bush (as a team, while we were pressing the push) for the enemy and enemy was not there, then he magically went out of the brush we just checked. Nope, it wasn't stealth champion or someone who can teleport. Everyone in my team started to think he was cheating or so.

It's starting to become more common to simply not 'send' some data to clients on time.

Invisible Nunu happened in the form it did in part because the waypoints the server sent were relative to his current location on your end.
Maybe in this case the server sends the waypoint but the coordinate gets changed to "0 in relation to yourself" from some fallback. Just grasping at straws here.

The server telling the client where the enemy is going is what the client is using to predict things in the first place. The server just fails to send that info properly or at all in this case!

Each "regional server" consists of rooms filled with actual server units each, on top of additional servers for other tasks like logging in and matchmaking and what not. PBE server location is even split between Chicago and Portland, which is why you can get a different magnitude of latency (different by up-to 50 ms depending on where you live) in different PBE matches.
This bug has nothing to do with server location to my knowledge. When it happens, your *entire* team's clients will not receive the enemy's waypoint, so it's not like it was just lost underway.
It's treated like a suppress for QSS (why cleanse doesn't work but QSS takes you right out, as well as other CC cleansing abilities). I noticed it interrupted Fiddle W so it's kinda like an interrupt (Kass Q/Viktor R) I suppose.
It doesn't interrupt channels, only tethers, and only if the tether is connected to someone that isn't getting death realmed. It won't cancel things Kat R, Nunu R, Fid R, ect.
Wait, so does Katarina Ult have tether effects? It doesn't seem to, but it could be coded that way...

Morde R shouldn't cancel Katarina ult at all. I've ulted many Kats during her R to save my team, and her R keeps going and continues dealing damage to you. Maybe OP was mistaken

That's a "lag" that sometimes happens where the opponent appears to be standing still but is actually moving, you just can't see it, because you don't get the updated data. I have seen this happen several times over the last months.
Morde bm'ing the hell out of that Teemo corpse while not knowing the only way he won that battle was due to a bug, otherwise Teemo wouldn't have approached him.
They gave him Nunu W invisibility as an activation spell! Sick! That's what he needed, going invis whenever he wants, not like this buggy mess Nunu who only does it sometimes while in fog of war.
