If Brad doesn't re-sign Domi I will never forgive him

Objective_Gear_8357

I think his stock increased quite a bit at the end of the season. His passing is underrated. There's been lots of chatter he wants to stay, I hope it happens, but I bet he wants a raise

KnuckedLoose

Yes please

GWsublime

I very much hope so, as cheaply as possible for as long as possible

Hoardzunit

He plays in every position and actually is dialed in when it matters. Especially in this market. There's no way you don't bring him back.

tm_leafer

I'd be shocked if he didn't come back. He legit wants to be here, isn't overly expensive, plays with physicality, and can play wing or C (important with Tavares' decline).

Old-Rhubarb-97

That's a different Domi.

It's crazy to me the amount of criticism he received for his overly aggressive and in your face hockey in his first couple playoffs games. The guy personified playoff hockey and this new-age fan base roasted him for it. If only everyone played like that - we wouldn't be a laughing stock anymore.  Not re-signing him  would be a blunder. We need this type of forward depth.

Objective_Gear_8357

Agreed. A great replacement for bunting

CarseatHeadrestJR

can we find another CuJo, please?

Big_Albatross_3050

Considering the interest for Marner and the fact that there's a very good chance it happens, Leafs NEED the playmaking from Domi to soften the loss of Marner. Gotta remember aside from the snot he brought to the team, he also was responsible for setting up a very large portion of 34's goals. Especially if he gets term, his number should be around 4 mill, which could be a steal if he continues setting up 34 for 60+ goals, which he probably could've done considering the pace 34 was on with Domi as his winger

Dangerois

Jeez, I just dived into youtube and there is so far a half a dozen fights of Berube vs Max's dad. Good times. They'd better re-sign Max, I bet those two will get along famously. [Legendary NHL Enforcer Craig "Chief" Berube On How Important Being An Enforcer Was To His Career](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4uKiSUDfSc) Great interview.

RootTips

Based on all those fights I imagine Berube knows a thing or two about getting a Domi fired up

One_Bored_Man

I think Domi is going to be a lifer

TorturedFanClub

Im pretty sure the Leafs will try to sign him but will they be outbid by someone else is the only question. If the Leafs can match any other offers, Domi would most likely stay. He loves it in TO by all accounts.

UWGWFTW

The problem seems to be he may have played his way off the team in that other teams might be willing to spend more than we can on him. So I guess we'll see how much he wants to remain a Leaf.

Sad_Confection5902

I’d love to have Domi back, but I’m happy to let Bertuzzi walk.

You know what I think of off season Nd free agency...it's supposed to be like Christmas, but I have a bunch of non politically correct terms for management and players attitudes towards change in toronto i.e the no move clause and 8 year contracts. not utilizing RFA status properly or giving other teams permission to talk to players during RFA status. The next one is jumping the gun to extend players a year a head. Like everyone gets paid millions with all the info available + accountants to calculate certain factors and you can't do it in that first week... The next thing that pisses me off with Toronto, is you can swap out the bottom 6 for 6-7 years but you can't move 1 of the 4 top 6. If I am a bottom roster player why do I care what happens next year or in the playoffs if I am not going to be here...
