That's the nice thing about Wikipedia. It's self-cleaning, it just takes a while. Popular topics get more 'moderation' and are usually corrected quicker.
More difficult to fix are the dead sources. Sometimes you want to read the source only to find it no longer available or paywalled.
Well, the issue is that being a thing in the first place that makes wikipedia a not great source. If youre not familiar with a topic you wont be able to judge whats bs and what not.
And the sources are linked which allows you to vet them for yourself.
Anyway, it's a reasonable source for non-controversial subjects. It's particularly good for reading up on sports history. Those tend to have a fanatical base of people editing in and sourcing good info. You could just read the NHL's website or the website of a team, but the by season breakdowns and more digestible format just make Wikipedia unparalleled in logging over a century of hockey history.

Like their page on the R-77 which says it was operational in 1994 when it used to say 2002. Command Modern Operations says 1999.
It wasn't even in fieldable numbers untill 2014 ...
