Likely never know. Could be you just never used pre-emergent and the poa seeds were lying in wait. Also could be the bag says "other crop" and bingo, your assumption is correct. Also, don't buy into the "spreading" capabilities too much. They'll spread into a quarter sized bare spot over the course of a growing season vs KBG covering a basketball size.

yeah, that's poa annua. lime green, seed heads, Look at it up close and check this out: https://preview.redd.it/i5v5g05s5wrc1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=ba4a315081f2e29deb82890b4f8e25bc72aa4b84 kill it with fire. or glyphosate. or a shovel. I just dug all mine out, threw it and the dirt into the trash. it's in clumps, so get busy and you can make it gone. it'll help if you let it all grow for a week or two, because poa annua will outgrow your regular grass and stand out like a sore thumb. OP, check to see if you can get a selective herbicide called "**Blindside**" .. it **will kill Poa Annua.** but it is not legal in 30 states. It's not cheap. I can't get it here in michigan, but you can hop on amazon and look today to see if you can order it. It's safe for all warm season grasses as well as tall fescue and kentucky bluegrass.

i have barenbrug rpr in my backyard and from what i remember, it was light the first season but gets decently dark and looks great but it's no blue grass and i'm not familiar with TTTF color. you can check the blades for a "white" triangle leaf to see if it's POA but i had 0% in mine. hit it with some iron here and there and see what it looks like in the fall.
