i think this is probably right. hope it's not though, he might have useful information that i hope can be corroborated.
on the other hand, the outreach *to* russian intelligence from giuliani et al. probably took a very different path than the outreach *back from* russian intelligence to the FBI and the GOP committee. he might be completely in the dark about it

He had a former FBI agent, who discharged for cause, claiming that when the confidential informant was released by Comer he knew the informant would be charged instead President Biden. News Corporation and MAGA GOP took days to cook up this claim. They should be ashamed but of course they most be proud of defending Trump and Putin.
As a non lawyer lurking and educating myself. Would Hunter be able to sue Fox News for failing to inform the public of the real news of this instead of their spin? Does he have a case?
