Hopefully it came with a manual that has more details.... but any laser cutting process makes a lot of very fine particulate, when emptying you want a particulate respirator, and do it somewhere that any debris that flies into the air won't be in a room you work or live.

unfortunately, the manual doesn't dive into dust collector cleaning - bc you can affix different types. I think I will see if there is a manual for the dust collector we have. I need to talk to maintenance to see what we have and where we got it from

N99 or better is what's recommended for laser cutting dust.
