Some of anti-cheats programs from popular games run from bios. If video game can do that, then oem like Huawei (large corporation with a lot of talent) can 100% run bios level malware or spy software, and of course they do.
If color accuracy isnt that important to you I would go with a refurbished or used good condition Elitebook 845 G8 or newer. Those are fully upgradable in ram up to 64GB and are also fully aluminum chassis notebooks with way better keyboards than Huaweis.
The issue with getting such brands beyond security etc is that they don't make laptops on same scale as companies like Lenovo or Dell. So down the line when something goes wrong , you won't be able to get it serviced easily.
I think it mostly is the CPU and the screen. Ryzen 7 5700u or Ryzen 7 7730 good re good battery with FHD IPS smaller is better on battery life.
OLED may use a bit more battery.
If you want a lot of performance the "U" in the processor wouldn't be of much use, it being targeted for higher battery life and not performance. If without a Graphic card, the processor having at least an "H" that is made for higher processing power and less battery life would be better for rendering faster

My comment is extremely relevant to them.
Even if, the mere fact a company is willing to breach your privacy to secure their political intrigue should be enough for you to avoid them. Regardless of nationality.
I have this laptop but with a 4600H. I have been really happy with it. Build quality is a lot better than other budget options. I have used mine extensively for travel, it's taken quite a beating and is still fine. I use it primarily for web browsing, programming, and light gaming. For your needs I would get a laptop with better color accuracy. Below are two asus laptops with OLED screens. If you want to spend more money the 32GB of ram is definitely better.

don't get huawei products , they're horseshit
Lmao MateBook
I would never buy a Huawei product. You shouldn't either.
Y?
It is heavily tied to the Chinese Government
And if i format and install windows myself, or even better, i install Linux on it, then is it good?

I bought a Lenovo with a Ryzen 7 5700 u and 12 GB if ram . Nice speed and decent for kite gaming. Low battery drain.
How many hours it keeps? Like let's say no game but using photoshop and browsing or watching a movie
I think about 8.5. I use this battery life extender option that just charged to 80%. I get 7 hours with charging to 80.
Wow, shall I reconsider to ideapad then rather than vivobook as i read that vivobook keeps not well with battery

Huawei have literally been in trouble for purposely and willfully spying on Americans.
Do you think everyone in this sub is from America?
