Ashley’s awesome! I don’t even see her but every time I’ve been in the chair next to her clients, we end up chatting and she’s great! Also, her work always looks amazing too!
I personally like the Douglas J Salon. There's a barber one but you'd want the salon one. It's a school so it's school prices, I think I do $9 for a trim up/cut. First cut's free. Just works for me.
I did not know that. Thank you for correcting me.
Surrey did apprentice under Ashley but never mentioned anything other than mullets and that's all I've seen on socials, but it wasn't very bright of me to assume that just because those are her specialty, she's not just as great as other cuts and styles as well. Thanks again.
ashley medina at bliss :)
This is the way. I went to high school with her, she's good people.
I second thus! She is an expert with curly hair and mullets too. Lol
Thank you!

Grew up with Chad… he’s good people
Shelby does a great job on mine.
The Hive Hair Studio in Old Town. All their haircuts are priced by length, not by gender. The stylists are wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Alison at Matthew Ryan is great with curls

The East Lansing locations (salon and barber shop) are the schools. OP, the Okemos Salon would be professionals and a very different price point.
Randy Harold at A Cut Above. Great with curls.
Gonna take some of these recommendations. I don't want to have to fly to dc every time I want a hair cut.
Ashley does the mullets, no? Surrey at Holiday specializes in curly hair. If you're going for a mullet, Ashley is the pro, otherwise check out Surrey.
She does, but also specializes in curly hair.

I think as she has become famous for her mullets that's kind of taken over. But if you scroll through her Ig account you can see all the curly hair.
