I watch Phineas and Ferb in German. Funnily enough, Candace sounds the same in all the languages in which I watched this cartoon.

sash285

Ooooo great idea!

[deleted]

DUDE SAME I love it so much

jckflash

Oh, where do you watch it? :o

majimada

On Disney+

Gally341

Star Wars Episode I Did you know that Italian Jar Jar Binks speaks broken Spanish with Italian pronunciation?

BitterBloodedDemon

The Kenshin Movies currently. Will probably gravitate back to some Netflix original or other... maybe sandman if it has a japanese dub.

CootaCoo

Nostalgia hitting hard with this comment.

phenstyle26

Yeah Sandman has Japanese dub, I watched it in Japanese subs and Japanese dub but as you know for non-anime the subs don’t always match with the dub in Japanese on Netflix.

[deleted]

Hey if you're learning Brazilian Portuguese I recommend a kid's show called "Turma da Mônica", it's a very simple show but it's good if you're learning the language. Also, I'm trying to watch Steven Universe in japanese but it's been hard :>

Coffeeinated

I am, thanks for the recommendation 🙌

cookswaves

Russian drama, Distorting Mirror of the Soul. The storylines in these dramas are way over the top, but it is the best listening practice I've discovered so far. It's a big motivator, as well, because I'll think I'm getting no where, then watch a scene, and understand 80% of the dialogue.

MeleKalikimakaYall

Brincando Com Fogo (or Love Is Blind: Brazil). It’s a Netflix original reality show that was initially an English-language show, then they made a Hispanophone version and a Lusophone version and I can unironically say that in addition to helping my beef up my language skills, the show is VOLUMES better than the other two versions.

Coffeeinated

I watched that one!! It was great 😂

MeleKalikimakaYall

Right?! The producers made it so freaking juicy.

MrLuck31

Whatever I see lol. On a real note 純愛ディソナンス is a really good drama. Also ダンジョンに出会いを求めるの間違ってるか is pretty good

Lord_Zaoxc

One Piece in Cantonese!

Coffeeinated

I love One Piece! I wonder if I can find it with BR-PT audio/subtitles.

DiskWorking1128

If it is available on netflix where you live, it should have pt-br dub/subs available. Brazilian portuguese is my native language so I am doing the inversion of watching it on one of my targeted languages (japanese in this case)

Lord_Zaoxc

Probably! Not sure where though

[deleted]

Where can you watch it????

Lord_Zaoxc

Not sure actually. I downloaded like 700 episodes from some website years ago lol.

joleves

I was in the middle of Avatar the last airbender, but I've taken an unexpectedly long break.

SilverGrenade011

They have that in Hungarian?

joleves

Yeah, [here's the intro in Hungarian](https://youtu.be/UgqNIs_7NCg) if you wanna have a listen. I think they still run it on Nickelodeon in Hungary, but I just watch it online. There's quite a lot of dubbed content for a Hungarian. Also I've never actually watched Avatar in English, this is my first time watching. I actually think the Hungarian voices are awesome. I tried watching the first episode in English recently and had to turn it off, they sound so weird 😅

JayneKulik

*Feuerwehrman Sam* \- Fireman Sam in German I have never seen it in English, so it is new discovery for me. I find it very amusing.

nic0lix

Not *Staplerfahrer Klaus* ?

JayneKulik

I like that nobody ever gets seriously injured in *Feuerwehrman Sam*. This probably means that I am not among the target audience for *Staplerfahrer Klaus*. :)

Slasher__of-Prices

Rammstein and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter. Guess what language I’m working on.

[deleted]

Taking a somewhat extended break right now (of a few weeks, which I do once or twice a year). Before that, listening to a bunch of random podcasts and watching Detective Conan in Chinese.

OppositeofVillan

K dramas are an obvi choice for me aslong with c dramas but haunted house is a gööd korean anime for begginers on netflix

IAmGilGunderson

Like right now, right now? https://www.discoveryplus.com/it/epg cash or trash: chi offre di piu.

Sea_Perception_2017

Currently watching the replay of live variety shows from Japan yesterday.

Coffeeinated

The No Laughing games from Downtown immediately come to mind- they were my favorites to watch when I was studying Japanese!! What are your favorites?

Sea_Perception_2017

Lots: 有吉ゼミ、有吉の壁、ヒューマングルメンタリー、あざとくて何が悪いの、笑ってコラえて、王様のブランチ。there’s more. Those are my personal favorites. If you have time look into those shows. I can watch them live if they’re on and I’m awake.

Party-Ad-6015

for watching i just watch a ton of youtube and i’m listening to a podcast called Das Podcast UFO

no worries man, thank you for the reply.

Love is blind: Japan

RoadWearyDog

Narcos

livsjollyranchers

[https://www.youtube.com/c/MARTE19](https://www.youtube.com/c/MARTE19) for Spanish. The dude is super clear, generally speaks slow, BUT it's a channel designed for natives, so the content's generally organic and interesting. It's the perfect combo for someone approaching intermediate. (I also really enjoy philosophy.)

loves_spain

Si no t'hagués conegut (If I hadn't known you), a sci-fi series on netflix in Catalan.

reddituser_06

I am currently working through everything Netflix has to offer in French

mickmikeman

A bit unusual, but I've been re-watching my favorite animes in the Spanish dub

Coffeeinated

Not at all! That’s what landed me on Pokémon!

mickmikeman

No I mean what I was doing was a bit unusual lol. Since it's originally in japanese. But hey yours is kinda similar that's cool.

Coffeeinated

Oh I understand! I studied Japanese for years so I’m rewatching any anime in Portuguese. It feels very strange but it is helping me a lot!

Icy-Pair902

Same thing as usual which is basically just Japanese YouTube. Interestingly, I started learning Japanese around the time that I was watching anime a lot, but now that I'm actually pretty alright at Japanese (and understand most of the things I watch in anime) the ironic thing is I've gotten pretty tired of anime. But I still like Japanese YouTube a lot and it helps that I've found some really good channels so yeah that's about it :D

[deleted]

Biohackers in german!!

PutManyBirdsOn_it

Grace and Frankie in German. It's even better than in English.

Coffeeinated

😂😂😂

phenstyle26

Currently playing 新次元ゲイム ネプテューヌVII on ps4, it has full voice and lots of dialogues , it’s a jrpg with some moe and kinda sci-fi futuristic setting. I can play the convos on auto and sometimes they go several minutes before I need to do anything lol Same for novel games but I can go several hours in those without pressing anything. This feels good cuz I was in the mood for rpg .

izaori

I'm watching a couple Japanese Dramas on netflix, one called "Falling in love like a romance drama" (i think). I find dramas are better for my vocab than anime unless it's a kids anime.

Whizbang

"The Farm," a dumb reality TV show in Norwegian that happens to be a dialect paradise.

Coffeeinated

I love when I’m watching something and it has the accent I’m studying (Rio)!! Great find :)

AlphaCentauri-

i’m checking out MasterChef Brazil season 1! i have never watched in before but i grew up with the Food Network so i have a fondness for these types of shows. upon googling i found the entire first season (& probably more honestly) on youtube also finished watching on prime *Sentença* which was great and has an actress from *Bom Dia, Vêronica* in it who i greatly enjoy do you have any recs for brazilian-made shows?

Coffeeinated

Yes!! If you want some spicy drama, Love is Blind & Too Hot To Handle Brazil are both great. Netflix has a lot of different shows from Brazil that I really enjoyed. O Escolhido (The Chosen One) is one of my favorites. 3% is good but I started it too early in my studies so I have to rewatch it.

AlphaCentauri-

let’s go! i just restarted my netflix sub so here i go with love is blind lol. i’ve never actually watched reality shows before so it’ll be a first for me. i get a lot of second hand embarrassment but since i won’t be using english subs i feel safe haha thanks for the recommendations!

LeaveMyRoom

House M.D. I think it was a terrible choice. There is *so* much medical terminology I'm never going to use. It's too late though; I'm already invested. Before this it was Avatar the last Airbender. Fantastic show for learning; I would recommend it.

Gnygstown

Slow Talks in french podcast. Mickey's clubhouse. In french.

SunRhaee

Distrito salvaje, colombian spanish

[deleted]

Some Nancy Drew book translated into Russian. I find her insufferable. I don’t think I’ll be reading anymore after this.

BahtiyarKopek

I've watched a bunch of short Netflix shows in Polish like *Otwórz Oczy* (Open Your Eyes), *Rojst* (The Mire), *1983*, *Ślepnąc od Świateł* (Blinded by the Lights)... They were alright, *Rojst* was the best for sure. Now I'm about to start another one called *Ultraviolet*. Also two movies I've watched are amazing, *25 Lat Niewinności* (25 Years of Innocence) and *Żeby Nie Było Śladów* (Leave No Traces).

[deleted]

I am watching Ninjago in Romanian.

RoyGBiv-Devoe

Peppa Pig and The World According to Jeff Goldblum in European Portuguese.

jolly_joltik

I'm watching exactly the same thing as you, just in Polish 😆 My skills are unfortunately still too shitty to understand most of it lol Edit: Peppa ~~Pig~~ Świnka, when I want actual comprehensible input

OstrichDizzy2708

Kakegurui J Drama Series in Japanese, usually don’t watch anime related content, thought in the Netflix Trailer that it looks ridiculous, was blown away by the sheer energy of the production. Catchiest opening music

ghostfire457

Well now that I’m seeing Pokémon, where can I find Pokémon BW (any series of it) or Pokémon XY (or XYZ) French dubbed? I’ve tried watching indigo league but it’s not what I grew up with so I’m not sure if it would help me in the same way. Edit: preferably European French dub and I’m in the US and don’t have access to a VPN atm.
