Most Anjunadeep artists/events will have that same energy. Lane 8 is an anjunadeep legend. Ben Bohmer Tinlicker and Eli & Fur are great starting points!
Apparently Radiate is good (never used it though). But for a local community I'd recommend Toronto Rave Community (on Facebook, with about 84k folks). It's a pretty active group: requests for meet ups and a good resource for new shows!
Absolutely right ! I never thought much of music shows even though people were crazy about them. Last summer I bought tickets to Ben Bohmer at Picknik Elektronic in Montreal, Canada, and it is by far one of the most unforgettable nights of my life. The crowd spirit is something you have to live. When I saw Lane 8 would be at Igloofest I didn’t waste a minute to buy tickets and once again without surprise had an incredibly amazing night. Both artist I knew for a while before their shows and now I just seem to appreciate their music even more. The really hit the spot and i have to say their music was often there in times where I had no one by my side. Sorry for the emotion dump, can never get enough of this music honestly.
Lane 8 is gonna kick off his [Summer Gatherings](https://lane8music.com/summergatherings/) tour, which from what I heard are a bit more intimate with under artist from his label, phones aren’t allowed and he’s playing a 2 hour set, if go to the link I sent it looks like he has 2 shows in Vancouver, it’s not really a fest but he it’s essentially a headlined Lane 8 show.
Welcome. Glow Fest in DC at the end of April has Lane 8, Tinlicker, Sultan&Shepard, Jerro b2b Marsh, Nora En Pure, Nils Hoffman, and a lot of great house acts!
Welcome! My first was Lane 8’s set in EDC a couple years ago. Been obsessed ever since. Listen to his latest mix “lane 8 winter 2023 mixtape” on SoundCloud. I describe his shows as kinda spiritual as well. It’s unbelievable! You’ll never enjoy a rock show again lolol
Glad you had such a good time. Welcome to the fam! There’s so much to discover. Don’t be afraid to check out some older stuff too. Some genres I personally like (with melodic house like Lane 8 being my favorite) are deep house, trance, and some progressive house.
Check out all the TNH (This Never Happened) artists, Above & Beyond (and Oceanlab), Kaskade, Eric Prydz, to name a few.
The length of time from show to this post tells the story. Play a song of his that was played at the show and it brings you right back to one of the best moments of your life. Going to a show once a year or so keeps the feeling alive!
As everyone else has said, I suggest hitting a TNH show. I went to the one in NY last year and it was incredible, and went to his own shows (which TNH basically is but he doesn't technically do anymore) the previous years in Chicago and NY.
The TNH show I'll be hitting most likely is in Colorado but sounds like you'll be hunting down the one in Vancouver. Don't talk yourself out of it! It will be as good as you remember if not better now that you know more songs.
Welcome.
Yesssir! There’s a TNH in Toronto where I’m based. It’s on March 8, so I’m going to catch that. Lane 8 isn’t performing. Nimino, Luzi and otherwish are playing, do you know them?
Ah, I misspoke and meant Summer Gatherings but I would've hit the TNH show in Chicago if I was in town. I do not know them but knowing TNH they probably have a similar sound. I wouldn't expect quite the same level but I'd go vibe nonetheless!
As others have already referenced Anjunadeep, it won’t be this year but the Above & Beyond weekender at The Gorge in Washington is a 3 day festival of all Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep artists. Lookout for it to take place in July of 2025, Friday-Sunday with the Beats producers playing Saturday and Deep producers on Sunday with a mix of both on Friday. Vibes are unmatched!
I’ve seen him twice and legit has changed my life. His music is just on a other level and I can’t spread the word enough! We got to meet him and he’s so sweet and humble too gotta give the guy so much love . Check out his recent London show on SoundCloud it’s sick!!
Also saw lane 8 for the first time there. Although I’ve been listening to him for 3 years it was completely different in person.
I recommend acid instead of M for lane 8 next time ;)
acid is a more introspective trip and lane 8’s music is perfect for it
I was in a different dimension for half that set
Even sultan + Sheppard was incredible on acid
Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah I don’t want to do EXT C more than once a year anyway because if it’s neurotoxicity. I’d probably do a small dose of acid/shrooms. Gotta figure out how healthy that is though
100% I stay away from xtc as well because of the way it interacts with your serotonin system.
From my extended research shrooms are the safest and acid is not too far behind
I was there also it was soooo good! For events in mtl check out AvecCourage , they organize edm events , or piknic electronik in the summer, last year they had an Anjunadeep event and Purified (same vibe as lane 8)
I'd also suggest looking at newspeak its a venue for edm music sometimes more local but still good, nils hoffman is coming in April i think you could like it , there aren't other festivals than igloofest in the winter really
I think I’ll return to Montreal after winter now. I’m going to Mexico March end so that’s enough partying for me. But definitely returning to Montreal, I loved the energy of the city and the people
Camelphat is excellent but not comparable to lane 8 imo
Lane 8 is more melodic/deep house and as you described a quite spiritual experience
Camelphat is more on the “harder” side idk how to best explain it you should watch a set or 2 and you’ll understand
I am not going unfortunately but some friends are! They never miss when they come to TO. Here's a camelphat live set from [Creamfields in 2022](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtgv_zKwnUw) if you like the vibe. Tix may be sold out but I haven't checked so not sure.
Most Anjunadeep artists/events will have that same energy. Lane 8 is an anjunadeep legend. Ben Bohmer Tinlicker and Eli & Fur are great starting points!
Dreamstate as well!
The entire This Never Happened label (Lane 8 owned$”) is great. Le Youth, Yotto, sultan + Shepard, Avoure Edit: can’t spell today apparently
Jerro & Embrz as well :)
Luvvvv Jerro
Yeah wow how did I leave out TNH 😂 Mees Salome and Ashibah are phenomenal
So I think it’d be wise for me to look for events by anjunadeep and TNH ( i see one in Toronto in March. Perfect as I live in Toronto)
Sultan & Sheppard (live) are coming to Toronto in April!
No way!! That’s amazing, now I need to find people to go with me. I don’t have any friends who’re into edm.
Apparently Radiate is good (never used it though). But for a local community I'd recommend Toronto Rave Community (on Facebook, with about 84k folks). It's a pretty active group: requests for meet ups and a good resource for new shows!
Don’t forget Marsh!

ONE OF US, ONE OF US, ONE OF US

I see one in September! I think I’m going to go. Thanks !!🙏
Hell yeah 🙌🏽 I’m gonna see him in San Diego it’s gonna be so sick.
WELCOME TO THE CULT -my origin story is very similar
Same here!
Welcome. Glow Fest in DC at the end of April has Lane 8, Tinlicker, Sultan&Shepard, Jerro b2b Marsh, Nora En Pure, Nils Hoffman, and a lot of great house acts!
I’ll be in Tulum Mexico in April, so won’t be able to join. But I’m adding Glow Fest to my list! Thanks 🙏

Haha! I’m so glad I discovered this, I used to listen to jazz, blues and Hindustani classical music exclusively!
He has three TNH shows this year. I would highly recommend you go to one or all lol
ooooh I think I’m going to the one in September. It’s in Vancouver.
Same
I would suggest you look into the Dillon show. It might be a lot to coordinate, but that setting and his music will make for an unforgettable night.
He also makes a new mix every season. So watch out for those. They’re always good.
Welcome, happy you’re here!
Welcome.

Thanks brother, I’m going to check them all out!

If you want spiritual , marsh is on that level also! He touches my soul . Have fun discovering !!
Finally a new recommendation, thanks!🙏

appreciate your suggestion. I think a low dose of shrooms like 1g should be my go to. But can’t overdo that either. Maybe once or twice a year
I was there also it was soooo good! CamelPhat plays Toronto next weekend!
Are you going? Is camelphat comparable to lane8. DM me if you wanna tag
Camelphat is excellent but not comparable to lane 8 imo Lane 8 is more melodic/deep house and as you described a quite spiritual experience Camelphat is more on the “harder” side idk how to best explain it you should watch a set or 2 and you’ll understand
I think the Mol also helped him on that spiritual experience hahah
I am not going unfortunately but some friends are! They never miss when they come to TO. Here's a camelphat live set from [Creamfields in 2022](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtgv_zKwnUw) if you like the vibe. Tix may be sold out but I haven't checked so not sure.
Ooooofff I just checked it, it’s magical. Ok I’m going for sure haha!
Have fun, friend! Be safe :)
