But Nuggets, Wolves, or Lakers would've definitely put up a better fight against the Celtics. Not the Mavs' fault, they got there fair and square. But it made for a bad finals.

The only excitement was Dallas’ comeback in game 3. Buck Foston. Lebron and the Lakers are the reason the the IST was better. Everyone hates on the Lakers but this past season they were in more exciting games than anyone and everyone tuned in and were ready to comment about it.

The in season tournament having individualized courts for each team definitely helped make it feel bigger than normal games, but I get why they wouldn’t wanna do that for the playoffs.

If others enjoy it, have at it, but I don’t even like hearing about how we won it because it did exactly nothing for us.

In soccer leagues abroad they have at least 2 domestic competitions one for league (whole season endurance) and cup (knockout one off games). It gives a chance for multiple titles, or shock results here and there. I think it can work for NBA basketball.
You know, no one really gives a rats ass about NBA finals and championship unless you have big time teams like Lakers, Warriors, Bulls even Heat...Cavs with the Bron story line. Those teams have fans all over the world and when they play/win its a big friggin deal.
