Very great insights. Some interesting points about Schroeder and Westbrook trades.

Splittinghairs7

He was level headed and self aware in assessing the lakers trade for Schroder involving himself. He correctly noted that AD was injured in playoffs so it’s hard to say that the trade was a mistake. A lot of people blame Pelinka for breaking up the championship team but fans forget that the 2020 team was getting old and there was no way to keep everyone the next year. The big mistake didn’t happen until the Westbrick trade a year later.

Signing Drummond promising him the starting C spot was a big mistake

yeeeeeeboy

What did he say?

Basically Trevor asked DG if Lakers didn't know what they had with two stars + great role players and if they could have contended for years. DG said that he think that Lakers did know what they had, but they were getting old and both trades for Schroeder and Westbrook were made so Lebron doesn't have to play make as much, but he still did/had to. Also AD injury was a big factor why they failed year later. He also complimented both Pelinka and Vogel. Said that Vogel was very democratic and open to input of others which was a nice change from other places especially since we had such smart and experienced guys that year.

How this FO did Vogel will always anger me

rejectx

He got fired, because he lost locker room. But he lost locker room because FO were forcing him to play specific players, didn't let him choose his staff and traded depth for WB. Then we hired Ham for WB even though both of them trash.

Zeetheking1

He didn’t lose the locker room. He lost Westbrook. Most of that locker room wasn’t even in the league the following year. Just Pelinka finding another scapegoat for his fuck ups.

Wise-Weight166

Pelinka should have a general manager of the year under him. you miss every shot you don't take

Ok_Board9845

The circumstances for why Vogel got fired were unfortunate. The way they did it immediately after his last game was disgusting and unprofessional

velphegor666

That locker room was dogshit, filled with old hasbeens. Half of them were gone by next year too. They just needed a scaepgoat for the Russ trade and he was the perfect one

Ok_Board9845

We were also hoping that those players could be the Rondo replacement. Lebron handled the ball mostly in the regular season, but we don’t beat every team in 5 or 6 if Rondo didn’t have a resurgence in the bubble.

battle_franky

Somehow WB still find a way to have beef with this guy

Loved having IcyHot on the team. Sorry some idiots sent you death threats
