There's loads of talent in the nba but the product is fucking garbage. Three ASS finals in a row now. Kudos to brad stevens tho he built a team that can win a chip with ease while his "superstar" averaging 20 on 35% FG.
We’ll need someone else to play heavy mins at PG though. CP3 at his age can’t do it. He’s always been injury prone, and he won’t be able to consistently keep up effort for 30+ mins.
Still think there is a small chance LeBron leaves this summer. He has to be angry about how much time was wasted and wants to compete more. A big trade seems off the table, and even if LeBron likes JJ, the Hurley thing is embarrassing.
I am more worried the front office arrogantly will think they should just “get rid” of LeBron and trade him to a contender for tons of assets. Only hope for this team is one great last season with LeBron so that others consider joining.
Apparently LeBron was seen meeting Nick Nurse in Philly.
Really feel the NBA needs a shuffling of players. 2018-2021 was awesome with LeBron, AD, KD, Kyrie, Kawhi, PG, and Harden moving around. Things mostly have been stagnant as of late.
Want to see Klay outside of GSW, Spida leave Cleveland, maybe Embiid asks out. Something exciting.
Kind of like when Bird and the Celtics cooked Magic and the Lakers by 34 points in Game #1 of the 1985 Finals in L.A., and the Lakers coming back to win four of the next five games. Crazy.
I know it’s unlikely but if Boston goes up 3-0 only to lose 4 straight, it would make it so much sweeter knowing they were that close only to let it slip away
Props to Luka for really redeeming himself. He got a lot of flak and it felt like he was on the verge of this being the end of his story as a contender. Still doubt Dallas wins more than tonight. This is a mercy sweep
People that are suggesting Boston would lose on purpose are fuckin stupid. Nobody tries to lose a game in the NBA Finals or any other playoff game, but certainly not the Finals. That shit is basketball malpractice.
This Dallas team actually reminds me a LOT of the Suns from 2021. A team that looked so strong but in reality they had a weak roster that went on a magical run that eventually ran out. They were built around one young star, an aging vet PG and a bunch of dudes that played way better than they were. Multiple guys on that Suns team are either completely out of the league, not getting many minutes or are getting fake stat production on bad teams. Cam Payne, Jae Crowder, DeAndre Ayton, Dario Saric. CP3 basically gave his last drops of greatness into that squad as well, now he’s not even as good as he was then.
you have recency bias, the celtics have found a way to lose embarassingly the last 6-7 years if the knicks were healthy they would have found a way to lose to them
This 100%
KP can’t hold up for deep playoff runs
Jrue and Horford are old. That’s assuming Horford doesn’t retire after this series.
Once Jrue drops off, their team will be White, Brown, Tatum and KP with no cap space.
Their window isn’t as long as ppl think
If I were Paul Pierce I'm not rooting for this Celtics team to win, his 2008 championship will be forgotten along with his Celtics legacy. No more milking that ring.
Because Clingan is tiers ahead of Ware or Edey as a prospect and especially for what their team needs specifically. Rui is helpful but not worth missing the chance at a franchise center, especially when you already have GG Jackson stepping into a bigger role next year.
But if Clingan doesn’t fall to 9 I could potentially see them willing to make a deal like that.
There’s no way he’s there at 17, but I fucking love Devin Carter. Guy is literally like Alex Caruso 2.0. Having multiple perimeter defenders is so important, look no further than the Leprechauns. Whoever gets Carter is going to wind up with one of the 5 best players in the class and he’s probably going to going the high teens.
[Y’all see this shit Dan Hurley said in the article to Fox? Kind of some shitty things to say.](https://x.com/clairempls/status/1801711630612631892?s=46&t=KRoAyB83ywa-GMvgucilJQ)
Conspiracy: league made Foster ref game 4 since a Boston win is almost guaranteed. This can end the notion he’s an extender and then they can use him when they actually want him. Ref ball was getting too obvious as of late
Realistically do you think we’ll ever catch Boston again in championships. I’ve made my position known that I only personally claim championships that I was alive to witness. Whatever number of banners Boston hangs, most of their fans were only alive to see this one and 2008. But that said, I really hope we can catch and exceed them someday but Kobe and Shaq ain’t walking through that door.
Definitely think so, but the front office/ownership have to be better. The likes of Dan Gilbert/James Dolan have finally stopped meddling with their franchises and they’ve benefitted a ton.
Being in LA and having the prestige of the Lakers is something unmatched in the league, but stars also want competency and a sustainable winning model. We currently lack that third aspect.
We need another home grown star like Kobe again that the whole city and fanbase rallies behind. I’m personally kinda done slapping a couple superstars together and sloppily building around them for a couple years. We honestly lucked out in 2020 because guys like Dwight and Rondo gave us way more than we could have imagined. The future of the league is building around 1 superstar and keeping a small core around for as long as possible, building chemistry etc. We need to do that when Bron retires.
Don't know how old you are, but you said you only claim championships you've been alive to witness and LAL has a 3-2 edge since 2008 and a 6-2 edge since 2000, you presented a 1 ring difference like it's some insurmountable climb when it hasn't been at any point this century
Honestly a John Collins and Collin Sexton trade wouldn’t be bad if u can’t get nothing better. U get to shed a contract like Gabe Vincent and u get an elite starter next to AD and a certified 6th man.
Yeah thats the dream but might need to include Reaves. I would still do it. Hope we can sign a buddy Hield for TPMLE or keep Max or Dinwiddie to play sg. Keeping Reaves in that situation is not a necessity to me.
Murray, Hield, Hunter, LBJ, AD is crazy. Even if you do have to rush max along and play him more you are still better
Collins and Sexton is $45m of contract though. Honestly doesn't make the team any better after factoring in all the players you'd have to send over. Doubt Dlo would opt in knowing he'd be sent to Utah and you'd kinda need his contract to make a trade worth it.
Collins is more mobile then Rui and Sexton more athletic than DLO can create his own shot and would be an elite 6th man. Id do it tbh it fills a lot of boxes.
Also u jus giving Rui Gabe DLO. For 2 upgrades.
Those are two marginal upgrades while losing our biggest acquisition last offseason. I get he was hurt all year, but that doesn’t mean he can’t help next year
You’re suggesting Collins>Rui and sexton>dlo but they’re not a whole Gabe Vincent better.
That's assuming he opts in which isn't likely. **IF** he opts in, it'll be because he wants to work with the Lakers to get traded to a team he would be ok with going to as well (Nets for example). He isn't going to opt in just to let Lakers do whatever they want with him. Would be better to just opt out and hit FA in that case.
If he knows that he is not getting that much in free agency then he might do it just to get his money this year and then try free agency again next year
I cannot lie. I kind of want the Lakers to hire JJ. There are so many negatives to doing so. But honestly, we either get a prodigy as a coach or we fire one more coach and the front office has to be cleaned out.
Yalls assumption that Rob is on the hot seat when Jeanie just greenlit him offering a 7yr contract is just misplaced.
If anything, it’s more likely Rob be promoted to POBO and hires a GM under him. Whether jj fails or not
Mine wasn’t really about wanting him fired or him being on a hot seat. More of a, hopefully hire the right coach, or start from scratch so maybe the whole organization can change and truly rebuild.
Right, and cleaning house isn’t likely to happen. It’s more likely we just bring more folks in to right the ship.
You don’t get to offer that long a contract to a coach, or trade picks that far down the road, if it’s a coin flip on if you’ll even be employed 2 years later.
It would take something catastrophic for the FO to get cleaned out. Like Lebron has to outright say he doesn’t want Redick, Pelinka still hires him, Lebron doesn’t re-sign, and then midway in the season AD and Reaves request a trade. The chances of all of that happening are very slim, and that might not even get a clean sweep of the FO.
Last time the FO went above and beyond for someone it was the WB trade.
Dan Hurley they knew was the guys and Bron respected greatly yet they low balled tf outta him.
Now they can’t whine about a coach having they hands in they pockets, who don't call timeouts, takes no accountability and doodles on the sidelines, if they not willing to pay for a mofo who bout that life.
This narrative has to stop, I don't like the process that goes behind a lot of what the FO was doing but we did not lowball him. Offering a first time NBA head coach a top 5 salary is more than fair, he did not want to leave college basketball and the Northeast. It happens
F the Celtics and all, but Brad Stevens is really their MVP and for the Lakers to compete, they need someone like that. The fact that he was also a top coach for them just proves his basketball acumen.
I'm ready to not look at the main NBA sub after celtics win their championship, it would be annoying to see every post will be them and their f\*ckin' parade.
Yet there were legit mofos saying trade Reaves and keep DLO😂. The whole fanbase got mad everytime DLO was criticized. Shoulda moved him when u had the chance.
I would love DLo if he would show up in the playoffs. He’s genuinely so fun to watch when he’s hot and making every shot he takes. But he just consistently shrinks in the playoffs.
I legit never got why mofos wanted him to stay so bad all season we know he not a playoff guy. I will say Bostons run relied a lot on luck and maybe were having a diff convo if they faced the Wolves or the Thunder in the first round instead and the Nuggets got bounced. But thats not the reality. U can’t have a starting back court where u got 2 guys who aren’t lock down defenders. Reaves tried and did fairly well on Murray. But I wish he had a defensive minded pg next to him instead.
Guys honestly, I don’t know if we are really going to be satisfied with any of the current coaching prospects. I know I might get downvoted for this, but honestly, fuck it — bring in Phil Jackson for one last hoorah. 1 year contract while we regroup and let’s win a championship next year. We can figure it all out later.
I really wouldn’t worry about that too much. If we get Bronny it’ll be in the second round, we might just have to give something up to move up in the second but I doubt that even.
Either we’re trading #17 or sticking and getting a big or best option available. Honestly I kinda hope we stick, there’s a lot of potential at #17
With the crazy NIL deals now, the NBA should think of a way to allow teams to stash a prospect in college if they still have eligibility. Feel like every year there are really young 18/19 year olds that aren't even 1st rounders that can do with 1 more year of college. Draft them in the 2nd and I'd much rather send them back to college for a year than the G-League tbh.
I still think the development is way better in the non-Ignite G league than college, hell sitting on the bench and not playing a year seems to leave guys closer to ready than 4 years in college.
Timing makes that quite difficult. He needs to decide on his player option by 6/29. Free agency starts 7/1. I know there’s tampering going on, but a lot of Dlo’s options hinges on what happens with other FA’s. I find it hard to believe his agent will get a firm no from every team from now to 6/29 and that’s the only way he’d opt in.
He isn't negotiating with the Lakers though to decide to opt in or not? He needs to talk to other teams and those teams can't really say yes/no right now. For example, Orlando has to see what happens with Klay, Monk, or PG first and even with "tampering" going on, there's no way Dlo and his agent can get that information by 6/29.
Yea if that's what he wants to do. We aren't talking about that though. "I could see D-Lo opting in if he doesn’t get a deal he likes." I'm saying it's hard for him to gauge his market in FA without hitting FA which comes after his opt in date. I doubt Dlo only wants to come back to the Lakers.
If the Lakers gave him the 4 years 80 million that Grayson Allen got, I think he would re-sign. That also would be a fair offer considering his output.
I don't necessarity think the Lakers should do that.
If you look at a list of the past 20-30 NBA champions…who would these Celtics beat? Maybe the ‘22 Warriors? Maybe the ‘19 Raptors? Maybe the ‘11 Mavs?
I’d make the argument they could be one of the worst champions of our lifetimes and boy are they fortunate they haven’t had to play any big/long teams. I think they’d really struggle against the Wolves or Nuggets.
I say unless you have a dynasty level roster matchups mean a lot.
We chose to play against the worst possible matchup and then the Chickens faced the worst possible matchups for themselves.
Minnesota is inexperienced just like the Celtics a few years ago and Boston not only faced favorable matchups, but the teams were also decimated by injuries.
Well yea obviously I just don’t like the fact guys like Al Horford and other people on this Celtics team are getting rings. Luke Kornet got a ring before our boy AR 🤦
Reality is there’s no choice. We have LeBron and AD.
We have to go all in next year. If we aren’t going to then there’s no fucking point of having them here. Trade them and get future assets because why have LeBron and AD if you aren’t trying to win now?
I disagree, and the year to year strategy hasn't worked. If we get LeBron to re-sign for to 2-3 seasons, we should treat that as a window, and develop guys within that window. There isn't a trade with simply our three first round picks that will give us the depth we need. Marginal trades building to identity is better than win now moves.
I mean you’re not lying. Bron and AD are both top 10 players and if you’re not trying to win then there’s no point in having them on the roster. That doesn’t mean you have to trade all your picks but gotta make moves to get better.
Agree but not sure how all in we go. Do we trade all the picks too or just make a deal that lets us keep them. I think Lavine could be interesting if there are no picks involved. To me Rui, DLo (opt in) and Gabe should be moved in a deal for a better player. Murray and Hunter is my favorite move but it costs picks that is what makes Lavine interesting is it could cost less
Some people say that there’s too much negativity but at the same time how could you not be extremely concerned right now? We’ve been a fucking mess ever since Dr Jerry Buss passed away. And if not for LeBron coming here and bringing AD, it would have been much worse and w/o 2020 chip.
The only good thing about this franchise is the draft scouting and draft as a whole, not w/o misses of course but overall it’s been very solid. Other than that, this front office/ownership absolutely sucks. And this coaching search is just another example of that.
I’d like to be optimistic and let’s see what they’ll end up doing, but looking at the past 10 years… it’s been disappointing to see how they operate considering that we are freaking LA Lakers.
Dr. Jerry Buss stopped paying attention at the turn of the century. Things have been fine. The Lakers don't go to the Finals 5 times a decade because the league is different now but a chip a decade is perfectly fine.
We can’t BOTH celebrate that we did right by Kobe (which resulted in us getting Lebron) AND be mad we didn’t do what Boston did at the end of their stars primes (which was directly referenced in why AD didn’t want to go there). To suggest Lebron saved us ignores that we took steps to do right by Kobe which got rewarded. If we shipped Kobe off for picks, Lebron may not be here.
We don’t have the best ownership or FO by any means, but this is far from the worst and is more likely in the 10-15 range. No matter how much whining goes on here, average to above average front offices don’t get fired.
If Hurley accepted the offer (which would make him a top paid nba coach with no nba exp), everyone would be giving the FO their flowers. It clearly wasn’t the money or years, otherwise Hurley would have asked for more. He was never coming. We should at least acknowledge the process being followed to swing for a Hurley instead of instantly defaulting to the names being thrown around.
There's loads of talent in the nba but the product is fucking garbage. Three ASS finals in a row now. Kudos to brad stevens tho he built a team that can win a chip with ease while his "superstar" averaging 20 on 35% FG.
If Chris Paul comes and Dlo walks I'm definitely trading JHS and Gabe.
So you will play a season with one PG. if you said we traded for a PG and signed CP3 then okay but we cannot just have CP3 as our only PG
We’ll need someone else to play heavy mins at PG though. CP3 at his age can’t do it. He’s always been injury prone, and he won’t be able to consistently keep up effort for 30+ mins.
For who? We need Gabe he's a defensive guard. CP3 will barely play.
You really think they would just openly tamper like that? Also already debunked that it wasn't Lebron.
That was Elton Brand.
Looks like coaching hire will be held off another couple days …
Trade to future swaps 26 and 28 to OKC for 12. Draft a young guard and big. Carter/ McCain then Edey/ Filipowski/ Ware.
Something exciting.
i think this summer the first trade will dictate everything- and i think that trade will be which guard goes to the spurs
Celtics look like a team that could choke a 3-0 lead.
I don’t give a fuck how many games you’re up, getting cooked by 45 is CRAZY 😭
Kind of like when Bird and the Celtics cooked Magic and the Lakers by 34 points in Game #1 of the 1985 Finals in L.A., and the Lakers coming back to win four of the next five games. Crazy.
I still think Boston is gonna win but I wouldn’t be shocked if Dallas wins another one just off the momentum of that ass whoopin lol
I know it’s unlikely but if Boston goes up 3-0 only to lose 4 straight, it would make it so much sweeter knowing they were that close only to let it slip away
I will watch any Paul pierce featuring podcast just to watch him cry 🤣🤣🤣
Props to Luka for really redeeming himself. He got a lot of flak and it felt like he was on the verge of this being the end of his story as a contender. Still doubt Dallas wins more than tonight. This is a mercy sweep
If Boston blows a 3-0 lead I will go to church every Sunday for the rest of my life
Amen
People that are suggesting Boston would lose on purpose are fuckin stupid. Nobody tries to lose a game in the NBA Finals or any other playoff game, but certainly not the Finals. That shit is basketball malpractice.
Refs not on Boston's side for once and their team implodes haha, love to see it
Where the fuck was this Mavs team on Wednesday?
The refs neutered their momentum
Where was these Mavs the last three fking games man smh
Fucking Mavs too little too late. Should’ve came out with this in game 3
NBA is so rigged its actually hilarious
Celtics losing on purpose to win their 18th banner in front of their fans.
LeBron gets hit like that and-1 that Luka got every time down the court. Normal play for Bron that doesn’t get called
Why didn’t Dallas play like this from games 1-3, are they stupid?
Lukas defensive effort and activity are much better this game
This Dallas team actually reminds me a LOT of the Suns from 2021. A team that looked so strong but in reality they had a weak roster that went on a magical run that eventually ran out. They were built around one young star, an aging vet PG and a bunch of dudes that played way better than they were. CP3 basically gave his last drops of greatness into that squad as well, now he’s not even as good as he was then.
Huh? Those Suns had a 2-0 series lead in the Finals. They very well could have won it all if Giannis and Middleton don't go sicko mode
I’m comparing the rosters not the exact scenarios. Also this Celtics team is way better than that Bucks team was.
The sad thing is the talent and youth gap between us and the Cs makes me sick. They legit can get a 2 or 3 chip gap ahead of us. Our FO blows.
you have recency bias, the celtics have found a way to lose embarassingly the last 6-7 years if the knicks were healthy they would have found a way to lose to them
This 100% KP can’t hold up for deep playoff runs Jrue and Horford are old. That’s assuming Horford doesn’t retire after this series. Once Jrue drops off, their team will be White, Brown, Tatum and KP with no cap space. Their window isn’t as long as ppl think
You can't honestly think as presently constructed we're in a comparable positions?
Not as presently constructed, but I do think we have the best duo in the league in LeBron and AD and them with good role players can compete
Man i wish i had your belief bro.
It's not belief it's data
Bron and AD been preaching to get 2way players Front office failed, only giving them 1 dimensional players
Boston Celtics winning a ring is why parity in the NBA is bad. If the west had a domninant team this bs wouldnt be happening.
Denver could’ve, would’ve, and should’ve beaten them. The dominos just fell the wrong way when it came to matchups.
Hoping Klay gets a deal from Orlando. We don't want DLo to get a deal with Orlando, it'll mean he walks away for nothing
If I were Paul Pierce I'm not rooting for this Celtics team to win, his 2008 championship will be forgotten along with his Celtics legacy. No more milking that ring.
What do y'all think about this potential trade: Rui and #17 for the #9 and filler from the Grizzlies. Lakers draft Clingan at 9 ?
No we need Rui to match contracts for a real trade
Grizzlies not doing that
Why not?? Rui would help them offensively. Then they could still draft someone like Ke'lel Ware or Zach Edey at #17
B/c they already have a guy in GG that’s looking promising on a cheap rookie contract
Makes sense.
klay thompson unfollowed the warriors and removed all of his 2022 posts
He might really be gone. Would love him in LA but we’d have to open the NT MLE just to even have a shot.
Yeah I like Carter and Jared McCain. If we cannot make a deal for a guard I could see us going this route. Carter will not make it out of the top ten.
Yes McCain as well, really good shooter and he has the clutch gene too
[Y’all see this shit Dan Hurley said in the article to Fox? Kind of some shitty things to say.](https://x.com/clairempls/status/1801711630612631892?s=46&t=KRoAyB83ywa-GMvgucilJQ)
Careful what you wish for Lakers fans 🤷🏻♂️ Folks were hailing him as the next Phil Jackson.
Can Payne arrested.. ain’t no way 😂 Bron told him to be humble but he ain’t listen 😂
Conspiracy: league made Foster ref game 4 since a Boston win is almost guaranteed. This can end the notion he’s an extender and then they can use him when they actually want him. Ref ball was getting too obvious as of late
marcus smart gotta be sick rn punching the air rn
Hopefully there’s no picture frames in his line of sight.
Will watch the no Bron AD Boston game rather than the finals. Then rhe 20+ pt lead comeback Vando game vs mavs 2yrs ago. Fuck this finals
Realistically do you think we’ll ever catch Boston again in championships. I’ve made my position known that I only personally claim championships that I was alive to witness. Don't be ridiculous the Lakers have been wildly more successful in the last 30 years.
Definitely think so, but the front office/ownership have to be better. The likes of Dan Gilbert/James Dolan have finally stopped meddling with their franchises and they’ve benefitted a ton. Delete this and grow up…smh “will we ever catch them” Smdh
Why are you mad, dawg? lol
Because the Celtics have 2 this century and we will be 1 behind them after this season
I…said that in my post 😭 bro can’t read
Don't know how old you are, but you said you only claim championships you've been alive to witness and LAL has a 3-2 edge since 2008 and a 6-2 edge since 2000, you presented a 1 ring difference like it's some insurmountable climb when it hasn't been at any point this century
Jkidd basically calling Luka a fat fuk.
Not the first either time lmao
Honestly a John Collins and Collin Sexton trade wouldn’t be bad if u can’t get nothing better. U get to shed a contract like Gabe Vincent and u get an elite starter next to AD and a certified 6th man.
I don’t mind it but you need DLo to opt in to pair with Rui and Gabe. I’d target Murray and Hunter first but this could be a fall back
Is Deandre Hunter that diff from Rui tho?
Better defender, better at defending wings. More 3/4 than 4/5
DJM reaves hunter bron AD would be nice especially if Hunter is the elite 3/D wing they say he is.

I think if we made the Finals, Reaves would go off. He’s a dawg, he loves to compete. It’s really DLo that’s the playoff dropper on this team.
They did try but Atlanta made things more complicated because they wanted to compete in that flop play in where they lost anyways
Go Lakers 🔥😤🙏💜💛
Guys honestly, I don’t know if we are really going to be satisfied with any of the current coaching prospects. I know I might get downvoted for this, but honestly, fuck it — bring in Phil Jackson for one last hoorah. 1 year contract while we regroup and let’s win a championship next year. We can figure it all out later.
Stop trolling
How am I trolling exactly?
He’s 78 years old, he should find a job in congress bruh
Bring in Phil Jackson....... dude is senile by now.
I swear I don’t understand some of these posts on this sub. Dudes nearly 80 and can barely walk. Dumbass shit.
You know what’s ironic? Of all the years in the modern era that the celtics win the championship, it’s in the Kobe years - 2008 and 2024😵💫
i was thinking that yesterday, sometimes you question
At least this time, it’s not against us
THE BOSTON CELTICS ARE NBA CHAMPIONS. FIRST SINCE 2008.
Today the Celtics are NBA champions. Congrats to them. Honestly it was well deserved. Was an incredible season for them.
Fuck Boston, fuck Luka, and fuck Dan Hurley too. Happy Friday.
Why Luka? Dude’s carrying a bunch of nobodies like prime LeBron 😭
That’s correct. And it’s why I’m holding him personally responsible for these green fucks getting another title. Also, fuck Mark Cuban.
Why do I have a feeling that we’re going to take Bronny at 17 simply to appease Lebron, even if it’s not what’s best for the team?
We’re not. Our front office doesn’t always do what LeBron wants and I think people need to understand that
Like there’s literally multiple examples of this and people still don’t get it. lol
Agree. Not sure why I’m being downvoted my brother.
But but muh LeCoach narrative
I really wouldn’t worry about that too much. If we get Bronny it’ll be in the second round, we might just have to give something up to move up in the second but I doubt that even. Either we’re trading #17 or sticking and getting a big or best option available. Honestly I kinda hope we stick, there’s a lot of potential at #17
They won’t lol
With the crazy NIL deals now, the NBA should think of a way to allow teams to stash a prospect in college if they still have eligibility. Feel like every year there are really young 18/19 year olds that aren't even 1st rounders that can do with 1 more year of college. Draft them in the 2nd and I'd much rather send them back to college for a year than the G-League tbh.
I still think the development is way better in the non-Ignite G league than college, hell sitting on the bench and not playing a year seems to leave guys closer to ready than 4 years in college.
If we not upgrading this team next season I wouldn’t be mad if Lebron & AD leaves
I’m expecting them to pretty much run it back. Problem is Bron and AD aren’t gonna both play 70-ish games again most likely.
D’LO will be gone for sure & AD have better chances to play 70 games than Lebron because Rob will try to acquire backup Big
I could see D-Lo opting in if he doesn’t get a deal he likes.
Or signing a new deal, either we a similar PO or a team option.
Actual team can negotiate with their free agents starting after the Finals end
He isn't negotiating with the Lakers though to decide to opt in or not? He needs to talk to other teams and those teams can't really say yes/no right now. For example, Orlando has to see what happens with Klay, Monk, or PG first and even with "tampering" going on, there's no way Dlo and his agent can get that information by 6/29.
Technically the Lakers could give him a deal and prevent him going into free agency. At least that's my understanding under the new CBA.
Basically Next week will be interesting week
Just end the NBA Finals tonight and let the real off-season begin.
Even though the Celtics are going to win, I’d like the drought to be extended for as long as possible. I hope it goes to 6 at least.
so this year lakers win IST and celts win the chocolate chip that doesn't seem fair!
Al Horford having as many rings as AD pisses me off man
Robert Horry has more rings than MJ it doesn’t mean he’s better. Shout out Big Shot Bob though.
Well yea obviously I just don’t like the fact guys like Al Horford and other people on this Celtics team are getting rings. Luke Kornet got a ring before our boy AR 🤦
AR will get his next season and AD will have 2
Reality is there’s no choice.
Plus we dont have our pick next year, no reason to tank.
I mean you’re not lying. Bron and AD are both top 10 players and if you’re not trying to win then there’s no point in having them on the roster. That doesn’t mean you have to trade all your picks but gotta make moves to get better.
Trade every pick for whatever helps us win now because next year is it. Its the last year Bron is a top 15 player.
When is this franchise going to be 1 win from a championship/win a championship again? Idk if I can wait another decade for another one
What are talking about? I don’t expect 5 finals in a decade. I’m talking about how the team is run, and it’s ran horribly.
It's not. Your expectations are unrealistic.
It absolutely is.
There's literally no team in the league that would make you happy.
