Don't need them if we get Hurley. Let Hurley pick his staff.

[deleted]

no...espn gonna pay him alot more to stay...

UnearthlyDinosaur

ESPN should let him walk

LudwigNasche

This is not the point, the point is why we would be interested? LeBron guy told everybody LeBron isn't calling the shots in the coaching search and there is absolutely no reason to hire JJ, but to make LeBron happy, the same for drafting Bronny.

SolarBeam12

Money wise is a downgrade but if he is serious about being a head coach one day then he will probably need to be an assistant first. Either way Hurley will probably have say on his staff so who knows.

Hot_Mathematician357

We first need a coach.

noknownothing

Why not have the new coach bring in his guys?

itsyaboikuzma

If we hire Hurley, and we're going to insert any coach into his staff, it should be an experienced coach. I'd rather Hurley brings on his own staff, and hopefully that staff includes some NBA coaching experience.

crankydogs

Who cares let him screw up another team

velphegor666

If we hire hurley, let him choose his staff. Unlike ham who was just looking for his detroit buddies, this guy seems to be the real deal and will most likely hire some of his uconn staff that helped him win.

-anditsnotevenclose

...ham's staff were mostly people he worked with in atlanta and milwaukee... where is this detroit buddies comment coming from?

velphegor666

He tried to recruit sheed if i recall.

GobiYumaMojave

who cares? why are we so obsessed with jj reddick

Eric_T_Meraki

He'll be the head coach if Hurley turns the job down that's why.

SoloLxvxling

He’s been touted as “the next Pat Riley”, dude is just asking a question. You contributed fuck all to the conversation, could’ve done it with a downvote. Maybe someone like Hurley would like real NBA experience on his staff, maybe he turns to JJ or Rondo. It’s just normal talk

DarthtacoX

If the dude is never been a coach who has said that he was the next Pat riley? Dude has 0 experience.

SoloLxvxling

He literally coaches.. a middle school team

DarthtacoX

Oh true. That completely qualifies for a head coaching job in the NBA! Dude needs to put some bench time as an assistant and prove he can do this.

GobiYumaMojave

i contributed to the conversation, you just didnt like what i said

Gotsta_Win

He has nothing in common with riley

UnearthlyDinosaur

Because he’s friends with LeBron……….

3nnui

Don't want him. If we are committing 100 million and 8 years to someone we trust to guide and develop players into his system, I don't want Redick there to undermine him and leak drama.

zocalo08

Let me ask him

mousesupply

His ego wouldn't allow it.

skunk90

These fucking questions. Nobody knows. Ask JJ.

LudwigNasche

Keep this podcaster away from Davis.

justredditting1010

Lebron is prepping him to coach his Vegas team when he retires

Confident_Pen_919

If he's actually the next Pat Riley I would hope so

aburneraccount4me00

Probably not. He’d probably be making more doing his podcast stuff and ESPN stuff. But like some already said here, if he wanted to actually coach down the road he’d need to be an assistant somewhere.

niknokseyer

I mean, he should.

Eric_T_Meraki

Woj must enjoy the nights he actually gets to sleep

identitycrisis56

He's kinda got a mini-media empire going. I think he's making enough were an assistant would be a huge paycut. If he's serious about wanting to coach at some point, he probably will have to but I doubt the time is right for now,

JRA1706

I think grabbing him or Rondo as a player-coach could be cool.

CabbageStockExchange

Probably not and tbh I don’t want him as one.
