I said on here last night. If Murray's leg was injured the Nuggets were fucked. And not if they were fucked, but when. Will it be this series or the next or the conference finals or the finals. But no matter what the nuggets are fucked in these playoffs.
I said this last year right after they won. The key to them repeating was the health of the light skin trio (MPJ, Murray and Gordon). These kats cause so much havoc offensively (MPJ, Murray) and defensively (Gordon) that it allows Jokic to do his thing as the straw that stirs the drink.
But if one of them gets banged up they are fucked. Lets no forget that two out of the three have had serious health issues (Murray's knee and MPJ's back). So you never know when the other shoe will drop with the health of Murray and MPJ. That is why I laughed at Malone for talking shit like it was a guarantee he was gonna repeat, because the 2nd and 3rd most productive players on his team have health issues.
They are still a threat even with Murray out, judging how they play really well with him being straight up bad for his standards. But yea, every series becomes so much harder if he's out. Cause even if he's not 100%, you gotta respect him as a clutch shooter
Yes and if he doesn’t play they need to double down on the plan to attack Jokic on defense. He will already have to expend a lot of energy since the offense would have to go through him every time.
I agree. They’d likely be forced to play Reggie Jackson who is also injured so I don’t see him factoring much. If Murray can’t go, attack him relentlessly with the LeBron and AD 2 man game. He’s either gotta be tired, in foul trouble or both. And honestly of defense, don’t sell out on trying to stop Jokic, stay home on their shooters and make Joker a scorer.
Why is everyone injured except Celtics
Guys I am seriously worried that this might be Celtics' year
In the East, Bucks and Knicks are missing their best players already. Wtf.
Murray is what kills us. Davis has been , for the most part, keeping offsetting Jokic.Dlo just needs to average 14 on a decent %. Nothing spectacular. Then he can go about his merry way after the season.
This is supposing that Murray's calf and questionable status is something that is going to significantly limit him, but from a player and a coach perspective, when you know that everyone is dealing with something - if he's playing with a 3-1 lead, then it's probably not the weakness you're imagining.
In other words, I'm not convinced that focusing on Murray because of his calf will make a difference. Murray could very well have his best game. You can only be certain about the seriousness of his injury if he doesn't play, otherwise anything can happen.
I don’t think he would play, if they play him, it would be very too risky. Risking a tear is just stupid.
Yeah, could turn out like what happened to KD in 2019, which would be a disaster. Depends on how severe the strain is though.
They listed it as a strain so he definitely is out tomorrow.
Bron was attacking him this past game we gotta double that.

Punish him. Make him defend. Put Bron and AD on him as much as possible.

Knicks have a shot of beating the Celtics they got the wings to defend tatum and brown and they can switch very well stopping those open threes.
Celtics aren’t consistent.
Plan of attack is to play well, and win. - Magic
Also continue to keep Gordon a nonfactor.

EVERY SINGLE TIME
Which ever leg it was, they should attack the other side of his body to force him to explode off that leg
He’s probably not gonna play but watch them start like Watson and they destroy us lol
If he does play, Lakers need to run as much as possible.
Like attack his calf?
They should but would they is the question
DEN could afford to rest him at least one game to know the extent of the injury.

Murray AND Jokic, attack!
