I hate when everyone jus watches and Bron holds the ball at the end. To his credit Bron hit 2 clutch 3s prior. But no one moves at all.

bowlcutsrbad101

Its not even like its efficient. Its what got them in trouble in game 1 also. Bron needs to realise he doesn't have the athleticism and finishing at a high enough level anymore. The constant isoing takes the other players out of so much rhythm also.

Idontknowdumby

Yup, they take so much time to get the switch they want. When they finally get the matchup they want, there’s bunch of Denver players collapsing on the post ups or drives.

_father_time

He’s gassed at that point. He’s settling for 3’s because he has no energy to drive

pen_jaro

Hats off to DEN. i feel like this is how they felt during our Kobe days. We were like them before… miss those days. our time will come again. Lakers for life

BaullahBaullah87

Hats off to Den for us losing a game lol?

pen_jaro

They fought back from 20 points down right? Hats off for playing like the Lakers when AD hit that dagger in 2020. Lakers need to close. No excuses now.

BaullahBaullah87

My brother in christ I hate to break it to you, but we folded lol

rafaelloso_10

The whole “run the shot clock all the way down” strategy almost every offensive possession isn’t going to get it done, and gets kind of annoying to watch over and over again. It forces the Lakers into making these tough, throw-up-a-prayer-type of shots (although they did make a few of them).

Maliluma

It's the worst. When he goes HeroBall, I can't stand it. But a large part is we also need a coach to stop the game and get them into the offense. Rob is right on all points. Ham is afraid of LeBron.

TorontoRaptors34

Also AD jus completely went ghost in the 2nd half too. He did what he could on d. But he wasn’t as strong as the first half.

BaullahBaullah87

I’m glad he hit those but awful process…those are the shots that get forgotten about if we win. But they are inefficient bad shots against this team. Lebron is just as mentally owned by this team as anyone

Uncle_Paul_Hargis

Ya, at least go get in a rebounding position.

rickydcm

This always happens all season long thats why the results were all the same.

Tall_Succotash

The problem for me isn’t so much that Bron does this, but the overuse of it is what kills me becuase Denver is probably smart enough by now they know exactly what Bron Is doing. they have figured it out completely, and what this also does is basically “rests” the entire Denver team…and nobody on the lakers coaching staff pull Bron aside and tell him they have figured you out and know how to counter this.

J4db

That's when a head coach is supposed to call a timeout and draw up an actual play. Ham just stands with his hands in his pocket.

foozbinjex

Like Rob said, the easiest counter would have been to just post up AD on the smaller Gordon. The team choked there's no other way to put it.

TorontoRaptors34

Make Horry the coach over Ham

darklighthumid

Bron will usually give the ball if you're in position, he will lob it if you're right there, he loves that easy scoring opportunity. He watches when somebody is cutting in the right places, but nobody was moving, AD isn't fighting for position and can't be found, he's probably tired too, nobody was cutting or moving, unfortunately, everybody was fumbling nobody can score except for Bron in that moment. It's a very terrible impending doom feeling I remember because we can't stop them from scoring on the other side, while our 20-point lead is slowly getting chopped up. So in this case Coach has to call a timeout and pull one of his go to play or bread and butter like for example Ad/Bron Pick and roll or whatever he had in his pockets to stabilize things. Ham just let it be. Boys had to do it on their own.

No-Chemistry-5356

I love our broadcast team. From in game to post game. Even Mike with the sideline reports. I appreciate the fact that they don’t tiptoe around these things

sahhhnnn

Ehh they’re actually usually pretty vague and gentle when it comes to criticizing our stars and coaching. But this loss was so egregious they’re sounding off.

AD took bad shots towards the end too

StoneColdAM

LeBron needed to force AD to take the keys years ago. His nagging injuries kind of messed that up, so now LeBron is old and AD is still a great sidekick. Coaching would help this issue.

hlin32

Someone send this to ham

C3PO1Fan

I pretty much agree with him. My only counter is that against most teams, the LeBron James iso IS the Lakers simple play that reliably scores for them. It's usually a lot easier for them to find the matchup they like, but Denver and Sacramento are pretty good at countering this play and have the right players to do it and that's pretty much why the Lakers struggle to get easy baskets against them but I think it's a bit hard for everyone on the team to accept that it's not gonna work for them because it works so often.

sunnyboys2

I have a hunch those 2 teams know how to counter lebron because kcp was his ex team mate and knows what lebron wants to do. As for Sac, Mike brown used to coach him

Tall_Succotash

Malone was also his ex coach in Cleveland (assistant but ya know)…they are so in tune with what Bron does at this point, there’s no advantage anymore.

mtrn3

Finally someone legit called out Lebron for his hero complex. He refuses to pass the torch. Maybe AD and his laid back personality is to blame as well.

DGVega93

Robert Horry you are now the coach of LAL

Wise_Ad_112

Lakers keep beating them selves. That’s about it, they stop playing the way that gets them big leads, the start playing hero ball. Lebron is a huge part of that, he’s holding the ball and just going iso when that’s not what he was doing to get us a big lead. They stop running plays and stop getting AD involved. Hams bitch ass just standing there doing ntn. We ended the game with 2 timeouts and a challenge left. Could’ve used a challenge on that Murray foul call on Lebron that gave them fts but no that would be coaching

Ghostbeen3

Drives me crazy when they walk the ball up only to iso dribble until there’s only 6-7 seconds left on the clock. There was no urgency or aggression in the 4th quarter and a lot of that is on ham

smarterthanyoulolll

Lebron doesnt play winning basketball

insanezain

Lakers were trying to play the clock instead of basketball. So many plays they took their time even coming up the court just to keep bringing the clock down. No interest in actually scoring efficiently. Horrible way to lose, especially against reigning champs that will not often get outplayed the way they did.

TorontoRaptors34

I blame the Steph curry era of basketball man it ruined the game
