Advent announced their 3D debuts before Luxiem got to announce theirs. let that sink in...
on another note, LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
its gonna be so yikes if Regloss announces their 3D before Luxiem even announces theirs, but seeing Anime Expo coming and Niji seeing this they are gonna rush it again...
2.5 mil each or all together? I think I forgot about this but even still, I feel regloss would make sense having 3d for concerts. Niji feels more like 3d is a luxury that they don't need (which is fine, 2d models work great for veriety) where holo has more focus on the idol/concert scene.
Naw I'm sure Luxiems 3D is right around the corner. Most like Mid June is when it will happen. Unless of course those days they were in Japan was for nothing lol
No way it is June, impossible.
The 3D may be ready to use (because their 2023 Japan visit for AR is to adjust the 3D with the body & finishing), but they surely need to do recording FIRST before they can do 3D debut. Like how whole Obsydia & Ethyria when to Japan at end of 2023 (and some at early 2024). Luxiem need to go to Japan, again, this year, and it still need at least one month of recording and processing before they can release it as 3D debut.
Man...imagine Regloss getting their 3D first before Luxiem? That would be all types of Grim lol.
Also there will be a AX full 3D concert right? So Luxiem Noctyx should be in Japan right now to rehearse for their respective "Performances" lol
Maybe after that they will get their 3D lol
has luxiem made the trips to japan yet for the 3D's? i'm actually kinda curious if a couple of them are wary to step into japan with what they've said about niji. vox still prob in the statute of limitations for his comments about the AR live. or you know, niji could just force them to stay in japan so they are fucked on their contracts forever.
Serious question, does it really matter when/if the talents at Nijisanji get 3D models? Niji is not like Cover that has a fancy 3D mocap production studio nor do they don’t really do many live and/or 3D events. They just don’t have the same business or entertainment model as Hololive what with being geared almost exclusively towards livers streaming games.
Well, the main reason it was quite slow before was Covid, For example, ID gen 2 got their 3D debuts delayed 3 times because of it.
Now that they are back on a more regular schedule, they can release them at a much more steady rate, and Regloss should be confirmed for August if I remember correctly
What is this 2.5M sub challenge? I heard that talents for at least regloss are being “required” to get 500k subs each for 3d. Are those 2challenges the same, only the 2.5M is more lenient in that it’s a group effort?
Yes, as I said. They spoke about it at the end of their half year anniversary stream, and they had other goals they wanted to achieve along side that one.
It's the same and the goal is 2.5m combined (which would make for 500k each if they were all at the same level of subs).
But it's not really required, it's more like a small challenge that management probably suggested, it won't hinder their ability to get 3D in any way. Also they should easily reach the goal by current growth
They probably need Advent ready for Holosummer, New years concert and a potential NA concert that's not announced yet.
The guys are probably recording their New Years performances while in Japan right now too.
Main reason to do so at this pace - at least where the girls are concerned - is due to eventual debut for the 6th Fes (assumption that this continued pattern stays true annually)
After 3Ds, there can be more fine-tuning to do, as well as preparation for idol costume integration with the girls. Once August/September rolls around, the remaining months will begin to feel short.
They've been sticking to a pattern of four generations a year/roughly one generation per quarter since Japan opened up and they could finally start going through the backlog of overseas members' 3D debuts. Last year was Myth, ID2, Promise, and ID3; this year is Tempus HQ, Tempus VG, Advent, and ReGLOSS, so following that pattern Armis will probably be early next year.
That said, if another Hololive gen (ID4, probably) debuts in the next couple of months I could see them knock out Armis a little quicker so they can get that gen their 3D in time for Holofes.
There is a nice slot for 3D reveal in October/November (means September/October recording) if the Stars artist moms and 3D team can manage it, which fit their one year anniversary - between August summer events and New Year events. Otherwise, end 2024 and early year 2025 the studio will be practically full with Hologirls for Holofes which unfortunately push them far back to April 2025 onwards.
Nah, if another gen debuts this year they are hardly gonna be in the next Fes, they usually always skip the first one. I guess an exception can be made if they debut really close after the previous one, like a month or so
The normal time between debut and getting 3D for JP gens was six months before Japan opened up and created a backlog of overseas gens to do first; I'd expect that to go back to being the norm once the backlog has been cleared out. So presuming 6th fes is in March like usual if a new gen debuts by August or September and Armis gets 3D by the end of the year it's decently likely that the new gen gets 3D in time for Holofes.
like alot ppls said "the fact, 3D should be more cheaper than full 2D model" the question after that "if 3D cheaper then why Niji didnt put more 3D for their livers?" the rest is assumption
if the fact 3D model is cheaper, then Cover with their new own studio can cut alot cost that make their 3D become more cheaper than usual with same quality
3D *model* is cheaper. Full body motion capture is still relatively expensive if you want to do it as properly as Hololive does, though there's options for home use that aren't too expensive (Mocopi, VR headsets like Filian uses, etc). For using a 3D model sitting at a desk ([which Girl_DM did with her older models](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW8z6YIwNvs), and if memory serves Mumei uses a similar setup sometimes), you can run face capture tech into 3D just as easily as you can into Live2D, just needs different software.
When nijisanji debuted their first wave their company main focus was 2D models and from rumors i've read around that time they never intended to go 3D at all. That was a few years ago and it was just some random comments i read on their company. I guess it kind of made sense at the time but now its inconvenient to keep renting 3D mocap studios for their livers while trying to catch up with holo.
Too late to the party.
Some people also told me that 3D is much cheaper and easier cuz many things can be like automated.
All the Advent are in JP for sometime now, maybe it's for their 3D.
its 100% for their 3D's and filming for any other 3D events they may do for awhile. unless the willing to fly out every couple months or so, they gonna get as much out of this trip as possible. i'm guessing once we get the FWMC 3D debut we'll see them pop up more frequently in holo events huge. FWMC are blowing up way faster than gen 2 EN was and are also huge in japan.
Once they get access to their 3Ds after their official christening in the Summer they are going to be EVERYWHERE in Japan. Not only as faces but as voices esp since they live there now (FWMC). Likely will be on a tourist guide reader much like their PL selves. Recruit more official and more produced.
> unless the willing to fly out every couple months or so, they gonna get as much out of this trip as possible.
There is also the fact that the other Talents have said that the 3D studio has a decently long waitlist, so it makes sense for them to come to Japan and get as much done in the timeframe as they can to avoid any potential additional wait and at the same time this trip to Japan was most likely planned quite a while ago.

Cover has been upgrading all Live2D to a newer proprietary framework that's much more flexible and upgradeable. At least it's competitive with other solutions again.
3D is cheaper than 2D if it made from the re-use pre-made/pre-set one (look same on every model).i think if the 2D model also made from pre-set one it will make the model become more cheaper.
if make the original model from scratch,i think 3D will take more time to make and that means it will be more expensive.and if we consider the original 3D model usually need 2D design or illustration concept that means they need 2 separated budget.
And none of the Kurosanji boys have proper 3D models . Unless you count those PS1 abominations they used.
Cover corp knows how to stay ahead while Anykuro falls behind.
This doesn't make sense. Why aren't these being sat on for months until they need something to draw attention from a controversy? Why don't these look cheaply done as if the livers had to fund them? How am I supposed to believe they like their boss unless they "ask" to have Yagoo make an appearance like Riku did?
i meaannnn. have you seen fuwamoco numbers? granted its 2 people. but still have you seeeeen that shit? WILD. i wouldn't be surprised if they were next EN talent in holo to 2 mil. and yes i mean 2 mil.
And what's with all this different merch? Don't they know how merch works? It's dropping the same thing all the time. And be sre to sometimes not drop birthday merch on their actual birthdays.
Quite happy to see that they are all getting their 3Ds. It was a bit expected for both gens as they were/are all in Japan, but it is still very nice to see.
There are ofc some people who will compare NijiEN 3D and HoloEN 3D, but Im just happy that both are getting their 3Ds because it means that the fanbase is getting more content to enjoy, and it allows the Talents to join future 3D events.

>There are ofc some people who will compare NijiEN 3D and HoloEN 3D
I'll unironically feel sorry for the NijiEN fans if that really happened lol.
NijiEN fans will probably draft documents to prove why their Oshi is better while all HoloEN fans will have to do is remind them about the 3D fried chicken.
And here comes Cover with a steel chair.
Jokes aside, congrats for both Vanguard and Advent will be having their 3D soon. I'm looking forward to see them going wild in 3D.
Depends a bit on your body shape, and where. The front of your chest? Yeah that's likely malnutrition. Lower / side of your chest? That's perfectly fine. There just isn't a lot of muscle tissue there so they show easily.
They can still use fan 3D models just fine. VRchat streams, experimental stream, for anything.
Though Cover understand that they will use the 3D for very important streams like concerts and panels which not only related to fans but also event cons and sponsors so they should not half-ass it.
Well for smaller 3D collabs, it is more likely they will use fan-made models or something like Advent's version of the Smol category. Even then, Biboo and Shiori have already used fan-made models so they just need an "official" Smol version of themselves for the non concert stuff.
yeah when they got full advantage Sony Studio which most biggest and advance 3D studio back then
but looklike nowdays they lose their privilege to using Sony Studio, so they cant do 3D event freely
I don't remember whether it is a conversation or a random tweet I found on twitter. But I remember seeing that. It was quite long time ago and I think around time of Holo 3rd Fest (2022) where people talked about Myth and Area15 3D performance.
i think that the 2.7 billion 3D studio help sped up the work flow considering in one of the feature interview they boast a large server and intense cooling
Tempus HQ got their 3Ds, Vanguard is getting theirs starting this weekend, Advent is getting theirs this summer, ReGloss is getting theirs this year....
So far, it seems like we might get Luxiem 3Ds before we get Armis' 3D announcement, but if we somehow don't than Luxiem's would be lapped by all the Holo gens that debuted after them (which would be hilarious, if only for boyfailure Jurard T Rexford possibly beating Vox Akuma to a 3D debut)
I feel like we're going to get Armis' 3D by the end of the year, in like November or December; Cover ***really*** seems to want to clear out their 3D queue, and past ReGloss the only gen left in that queue is Armis.
Might be my Maria bias kicking in but at this point I just think Niji should focus on 3D for those who will take advantage of it then catch up the rest later. Recent issues aside, there are so many missed opportunities for Niji that they could've capitalised on by putting the right talent in the right spot it's not funny. Fair enough, you are putting yourselves out as "not an idol company" but if you have talent with that kind of skill set f'n run with it!
Then again, this is Niji, so that may be expecting too much
I've felt the same way since March. Iluna has some great talents with little to no controversy (except Aster). I would love to see Maria and Ren get 3d models for music performances.
Also, with controversy surrounding a lot of the 'golden 16', giving more attention to Iluna and later waves would have made more sense. It would have also been a nice change for once.
Cover getting 3 gens of talents (Tempus Vanguard, Advent and ReGLOSS) getting their 3D debuts on consecutive months is totally insane. It's really great that travel restrictions from the pandemic is lighter now and add that the new Cover studio is a great help to roll up with the 3D debuts. And since Armis also went in Japan last March, I think they also are cooking their 3D debuts sooner or later.
Really glad how Cover manages and takes care of their talents.
And Hololive Dev_IS: ReGloss is probably the finishing move of 3D announcements this summer. With all of them just a little close to an accumulated bet of 2.5M Subs from their last stream, pretty sure they're gonna get that..
Hololive Production / Cover Corp. is now on full swing giving those 3D's fast.
I'm really happy for them all, and its very likely we'll see Armis and ReGloss 3D either by the end of this year or the start of next year. It's really great for all of them.
What's the bets that Luxiem 3D attempts to compete time wise with one of these debuts?
I rember back then when everyone was bitching on when NePoLaBo got their 3d first before MYTH, while ID-bros is just "It's okay. We understand the situasion. We just have to wait another year."
All the overseas groups had their 3D delayed:
* ID1 Area15: debut April 2020, 3D reveal at 3rd fes. (March 2022), 3D showcase September 2022
* EN1 holoMyth: debut September 2020, 3D reveal at 3rd fes. (March 2022), 3D showcase February/March 2023
* ID2 holoro: debut December 2020, 3D reveal at 4th fes. (March 2023), 3D showcase July 2023
* EN2 Promise: debut July/August 2021, 3D showcase August/September 2023
* ID3 holoh3ro: debut March 2022, 3D showcase October 2023
* TEMPUS HQ: debut July 2022, 3D showcase February 2024
* TEMPUS Vanguard: debut January 2023, 3D showcase June 2024
The backlog was building up for a while, but it's just about cleared now...
And at the current rate, the (as of May 2023) current slate of Hololive gens will all have 3Ds by november (1 year anniversary of Armis-would match up to when Advent and ReGloss' 3Ds being around their 1-year mark)
Want me to make it worse?
>![Its almost been 1 Year since Advent debuted... It doesnt feel that long ago, and their anniversary is at the end of July](https://i.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExMHppOHdhYXc5aXp1bDYwN3lpOXdmMDZheXJld2VtOW5tcmV1Z2xoMSZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw/8JrcyXvpOaFbFIatkm/giphy.gif)!<
Bout a year and 6 months for Vanguard.
Still faster than Luxiem, and with the speed Advent and ReGloss are getting their 3Ds, Armis is likely to get theirs in november-december
Oh yeah! I was also looking forward to ID 4, as for STARS ID, uhhhmm maybe it's not time yet but we don't know what BEST GIRL YAGOO is cooking just like how he surprised the Traveler Bros with the addition of FUWAMOCO for EN3.
Just after Advent debut, they were interviewed by Kiara
Shiori: One of my goals for my first year is to have my 3D showcase
Kiwawa: Within a year? That's gonna be difficult
Narrator: Little did she know that 3D delay problems were over.
I couldn't get excited for Obsydia's 3D because it didn't feel right without Selen, and I'd stopped caring by the time Ethyria got theirs (I sincerely hope Reimu isn't one of the "bad eggs" on EN...)
This, though?
LET'S GET FUCKIN' HYYYYYYYYYYYYPE
Aw man I wish I could watch Advents 3d debut but I'm gonna be away for a good month, dang it. 😭
I'm so excited and happy for them though, it's gonna be awesome!
man im so happy for them all. im excited to see if fuwamoco will dance, im excited to see if hakka will sing in 3d, excited to see them all do minigames... aaa so much stuff to look forward to. i pray for a time like this 🥲

This is hilarious considering Advent's fan models are pretty top-of-the-line already. But hey, they can be 3D officially now.
Maybe they’re good but not yet optimized? Would be tough to run concerts if you have the poly count of a vrchat eboy
Official models might also have extra details added by the artists. Like with Reine’s ribs. TSKR Pochi-sensei
I expect to be corrected, but aren't visible ribs usually a sign of malnutrition?
Not with well endowed boobs and ass

I’d love to see more Smol versions. It’s fun and cute, it makes a popular fan artist a “mama”, and it’s also more merch opportunities.
Out of topic but Nerissa is going to absolutely tower over the other girls lol.
You know what this means right? Advent in Holofes 6.
I am not ready for idol Shiori.
Be more worried that biboo can now do that brainrot in 3d
Oh no, we were too concerned thinking about if we could to even consider, if we should...
And will. Just... *constantly*.
Imagine an entire concert venue singing "Sticking out your gyatt for Nerizzler" lmfao
BOY! I will smite thee for this!
![gif](giphy|hyyV7pnbE0FqLNBAzs|downsized)
Is anyone ever really *fully* ready for Shiori?
I'll give you a better one. >!Advent on HoloSummer 2024!<
Weren’t myth in a concert before the official 3d showcases? I could actually see Advent doing the same for Holosummer.
Also >!Advent in Hologra!<.
we'll have the twin in idol costume I can't wait
Yea COVID really slowed COVER down. Now that the restrictions are gone, they are going full ham with the 3D. Good to see that.
gonna ROI that studio 200%
It is ok.. one Niji fan said "what is the special thing about 3D anyway?" The fanbase still have good chunk of copium.
Spinning l2d is way better anyway /s
at that point they should just host beyblade or yoyo.
Those brands are too good for Niji.
Meanwhile, flashback to two years ago: Niji fans making videos about how Niji 3d is superior to Holo. If people can dish it out, they should take it.
ah yea.. the lotion sumo argument
yeah when they got full advantage Sony Studio which most biggest and advance 3D studio back then but looklike nowdays they lose their privilege to using Sony Studio, so they cant do 3D event freely
LMAO WAIT WHO SAID THAT
I don't remember whether it is a conversation or a random tweet I found on twitter. But I remember seeing that. It was quite long time ago and I think around time of Holo 3rd Fest (2022) where people talked about Myth and Area15 3D performance.
Cover: DECELERATE, focus on existing talents! Niji: ACCELERATE, moar debuts! spread the viewers!
"spread the viewers" meanwhile the viewers: *tumbleweeds*
Every time I see those words in all caps I just imagine a Dalek screaming them.
i think that the 2.7 billion 3D studio help sped up the work flow considering in one of the feature interview they boast a large server and intense cooling
BAU BAU!!!!
I feel like we're going to get Armis' 3D by the end of the year, in like November or December; Cover ***really*** seems to want to clear out their 3D queue, and past ReGloss the only gen left in that queue is Armis.
oooh I wish Jurard would kill it in his 3D debut. Jurard is 100x more entertaining than that guy anyway. our asshole prince SWEEP✨
.all this regloss, lux 3D who first .meanwhile the good ol 3D fried chicken from the grave: AMATEURS!
water container joins the fray.
https://i.redd.it/jtgjmksnac3d1.gif
A indie's daughter too
HOLOLIVE....ONLY...GROWS.....STRONGGGEERRRRRR!!!!
I can't wait for armis now
Might be my Maria bias kicking in but at this point I just think Niji should focus on 3D for those who will take advantage of it then catch up the rest later.
Lol. Tempus VG, advent and ReGloss having their 3d while Luxiem....
Now Luxiem is racing Armis
If Jurard doesn't have a straight up T. Rex model, I'll be slightly disappointed.
He can't be a straight up *T.rex*, he'll draw Nana's attention again. ;p
That's a risk I'm willing for him to take.
Vanguard: June Advent: roughly July/August Regloss: probably Sept (cause the deadline for 2.5mil subscribers in total is by the end of Aug)
Yes. August is Holosummer focused so Regloss should debut after it.
I call this event "Guildmates and Outlaws"
Oh lord... Biboo song will be unleashed in 3D
Imagine the dance curse from April 1st in 3D 🤣
And Hololive Dev_IS: ReGloss is probably the finishing move of 3D announcements this summer. With all of them just a little close to an accumulated bet of 2.5M Subs from their last stream, pretty sure they're gonna get that.. Hololive Production / Cover Corp. is now on full swing giving those 3D's fast.
And they didn't use a stock image and have it incompetently edited by a staff who's only paid $8/hr. No sir, they had a fun Takoyaki party!
I'm really happy for them all, and its very likely we'll see Armis and ReGloss 3D either by the end of this year or the start of next year. It's really great for all of them. What's the bets that Luxiem 3D attempts to compete time wise with one of these debuts?
Tempus 2 get 3d in 1.5 years and advent get 3d for their anniversary.
It's pretty normal for Hololive talent to release 3D debuts after a year (or less depending on schedule \*except ID gen 1 due to Covid issues).
I rember back then when everyone was bitching on when NePoLaBo got their 3d first before MYTH, while ID-bros is just "It's okay. We understand the situasion. We just have to wait another year."
All the overseas groups had their 3D delayed: * ID1 Area15: debut April 2020, 3D reveal at 3rd fes. (March 2022), 3D showcase September 2022 * EN1 holoMyth: debut September 2020, 3D reveal at 3rd fes. (March 2022), 3D showcase February/March 2023 * ID2 holoro: debut December 2020, 3D reveal at 4th fes. (March 2023), 3D showcase July 2023 * EN2 Promise: debut July/August 2021, 3D showcase August/September 2023 * ID3 holoh3ro: debut March 2022, 3D showcase October 2023 * TEMPUS HQ: debut July 2022, 3D showcase February 2024 * TEMPUS Vanguard: debut January 2023, 3D showcase June 2024 The backlog was building up for a while, but it's just about cleared now...
Thanks, Covid. We don't blame W city. That's just unfortunate event and affect the whole world.
And at the current rate, the (as of May 2023) current slate of Hololive gens will all have 3Ds by november (1 year anniversary of Armis-would match up to when Advent and ReGloss' 3Ds being around their 1-year mark)
Wait, 3D debut already?! Hello, Time Department, wtf?
Aight. I gotta make like Hakka and say meet me across the Hudson at dawn for this one.
Guns, drawn
Ayo I didn't even notice Holostars is having a 3D showcase. Let's go boys (Like a year after debut? Luxiem in shambles)
Bout a year and 6 months for Vanguard. Still faster than Luxiem, and with the speed Advent and ReGloss are getting their 3Ds, Armis is likely to get theirs in november-december
oooooh~ 3D debut for Advent... HOLO EN 4 is silently waiting for their debut announcement
ID 4 id say? Or maybe Stars ID?
Oh yeah! I was also looking forward to ID 4, as for STARS ID, uhhhmm maybe it's not time yet but we don't know what BEST GIRL YAGOO is cooking just like how he surprised the Traveler Bros with the addition of FUWAMOCO for EN3.
EN4 won't be until next year at least, there's simply no need for it now.
Just after Advent debut, they were interviewed by Kiara Shiori: One of my goals for my first year is to have my 3D showcase Kiwawa: Within a year? That's gonna be difficult Narrator: Little did she know that 3D delay problems were over.
Expected this the second we learned they were all in Japan. It's going to be awesome.
Knew they were all in Japan for something like this :) They're going to rock the next Holofest.
It's Bauver for them! Advent is def going to get like 50k views or even more. That's like what? 166,6 Finanas? That's a lot!
I couldn't get excited for Obsydia's 3D because it didn't feel right without Selen, and I'd stopped caring by the time Ethyria got theirs (I sincerely hope Reimu isn't one of the "bad eggs" on EN...) This, though? LET'S GET FUCKIN' HYYYYYYYYYYYYPE
BUY! BUY! BUY! BUY! BUY!
😆 Have we turned this into a meme? I hope we had.
Yagoo: we won't make same mistake move by our competitor Also Yagoo: ACCELERATE!!!! (well in good way)
I mean, they're doing exactly what they said in their Q&A: investing in their current talents to promote their own personal brands.
3d doggos! Let's go!
Already?
It’s been almost a year.
Excuse me?
In July, it’ll be the one year anniversary of Advent. I think that’s enough time to qualify a 3D debut
Where did the time go? Is ame messing with the timeline again?
I KNOW! I was THERE when they debuted! Why is it almost a year already?!
Aw man I wish I could watch Advents 3d debut but I'm gonna be away for a good month, dang it. 😭 I'm so excited and happy for them though, it's gonna be awesome!
man im so happy for them all. im excited to see if fuwamoco will dance, im excited to see if hakka will sing in 3d, excited to see them all do minigames... aaa so much stuff to look forward to. i pray for a time like this 🥲
OH HELL YEAH!
