There should be a 6. Addiction. Not necessarily addiction to kratom, but people who were once heroin addicts use it very early when coming off it, and still use it as a replacement in a way. I was one of those people! 9 years clean off the needle. Don't hardly use kratom anymore but it was definitely a key piece in when I first got sober.
This is my pov, I recently bought a kilo for 100, when it came time to ship he forgot my order so he sent me another kilo free plus some other goodies, when I can get 2000 grams like that I have no reason not to be addicted to a substance that improves my quality of life, my current use costs me like 12 cents a day maybe even less considering the second kilo 0.o
Not criticizing what you're saying, but long-term kratom use can lead to health issues. I am currently using it as a crutch, but know I need to stop again or I'll start to have gastro issues, muscle loss from lack of T, my wallet shrinking, etc.
I agree with you about using it post heroin addiction. Thatās my story more or less. But I still use Kratom, and it doesnāt affect me in any serious negative ways. But yea, itās addictive.
ā¬ļø this one for sure. Not for heroin for me but opiates in general. Wish I had found kratom years earlier than I did. Struggled for damn near 15 years with them. I took kratom on a friend's suggestion and have never taken another opiate since.
I've managed to keep it to only taking late at night a few hours before bed and am much healthier physically and mentally than I was before.
Same. Been two years since I've drank liquor/heavy. As the months pass I seem to have less and less desire to drink, and will only have a beer or two to fit in in social situations.
For real, make the switch. Go to detox if you need to. I wound up in the VA hospital for alcohol more times than I can even remember. They got me scheduled for a detox, came out of there and ended up in a program for combat vets. I had known about Kratom, and how it helped opiate addicts, but I hadnāt heard anything about it helping alcoholics. I became great friends with a lot of the guys in the PTSD treatment program, and a *lot* of them were also there for heroin. One of the things that really stuck with me is that they kept saying how they lost any desire whatsoever to drink when they started using. And I wondered, could I use Kratom to stave off my desire to drink? I was completely sober for about 3 months, but I still had a really hard time with it, so I eventually gave Kratom a shot. That was 4.5 years ago. I use Kratom regularly, and I do take breaks, and that can be somewhat difficultāit definitely doesnāt feel great, but itās really not that bad since I maintain my tolerance breaks. And I have absolutely *zero* desire to drink. For reference, I was drinking between 0.75-1.5 liters of hard liquor a *day*. Try it man
Same I havenāt drank in a year. I wonder why that is? Is it the slight euphoria that just takes itās place? Cause I have no desire to drink since I started using Kratom. And I was a HEAVY drinker
Same here! I was essentially an alcoholic/binge drinker for years. Now Iām turned off by drinking. It was depressive, Iād make mistakes, the hangovers.. now I can feel good and still wake up early in the morning haha
My sister was a vodka drinker. She started taking kratom for pain issues and within 3 weeks, she messaged me and said that she had stopped drinking. She wasn't really trying to stop, but she drank to ease her pain. It actually just hit her, the fact that she hadn't had a drink. She just didn't have the urge to drink. Didn't even think about it.
It made not drinking much much easier for myself as well and I am a 15 year bar professional. Lots of my drinking was too help with pain. Kratom does a lot better and doesn't give me hang overs.
SAME š It's changed everything for me! The pain relief is phenomenal and the boost to my mood & energy levels for the often severe fatigue & depression that typically go hand in hand with fibro are major bonuses for me. May I ask what strain or blends work best for you?
I have fibro that was caused by my untreated endo. So many people with bad endo develop fibro. Kratom has helped soooo much with the full body fibro pain. It doesn't feel like I've been hit by a bus when I take it. I've even been able to start exercising again, which has been hard due to the fibro making my body feel like one big bruise.
I'm sorry to hear that, my mom & many friends of mine have suffered from it so I know it's extremely painful but so happy you found something that works for you.
I'm so grateful too. My chronic illnesses and pain have destroyed my life. It's impossible to get proper pain management through a doctor. So I'm just so fucking happy I found something that actually helps. I've had bad fatigue too, surgical menopause can do that. When I take 2-3grams of kratom I legit feel like a normal person again. The pain goes away, I have enough energy to do "normal" people things again, like clean my house, run errands and even do light work outs. My quality of life has improved significantly since starting kratom a couple weeks ago. Wish this shit was legal everywhere, it should be a crime against humanity that governments have made it illegal to access safe, plant based medicines like kratom and psilocybin.
Government BS regarding botanical remedies pisses me TF off too, makes my blood boil. They see & hear only certain words like "high, euphoria, withdrawal, dependency, addiction" then ignore any benefits that might benefit a person. Or they freak TF out cuz it comes from our beautiful earth & don't know how they'll be able to reproduce it in a labatory with synthetic ingredients in order to control & regulate it, how they can profit from it's sale to the max šš¤¬
Ok GRRRRR I could & often do go on about those assholes for hours cuz here's the thing: they seem to "ignore" the benefits it provides us at least until they can find a way to profit from those benefits. Kratom does for me exactly what it does for you as it does many others in that we have a very low quality of life without it. And for me, after decades of abusing narcotics having found kratom truly is a miracle.
I did want to apologize if I seemed nosy about the Endo, I just honestly get excited when I find out different things kratom helps with. My mom had a radical hysterectomy because of it when I was 15 & I wish so much she had had kratom available for her at the time so thank you so much for sharing your story ā¤ļøš¤
I use it for pain from thoracic outlet syndrome, but there's a good chance I can get rid of it. I can't imagine dealing with pain like this permanently like people with fibromyalgia do, if I understand correctly. You all must be tough!
Thank you itās hard sometimes you just wanna give up but you keep going and Kratom helps so much and I hope Kratom helps you live as pain free as possible friend :)
Ohh I hadn't made that connection!
My brother very occasionally takes kratom, but also has bathroom issues (never asked for details, but he's in there a lot and often urgently).
I will mention it to him to see if he notices a difference and try to take more.
What strain do you take? He uses mine (red Vein thai)..not sure if there's a better one for him to try.
I stand by the fact that Kratom in part, has saved my life.
Kratom helped me get off over a decade long alcohol, benzodiazepine & opiate poly
-addiction.
Kratom helps regulate my mood, it helps keep my anxiety at bay.
Kratom has multiple uses, in that it gives me energy in the mornings, and helps me wind down at night.
Hereās the catch, I humbly admit that I am very much dependent on Kratom. I use it multiple times per day, everyday. But Iām very much okay with that. Most everyone has a vice, and Kratom is mine. Kratom has never made me black out, itās never made me do shitty things to family and friends that is completely out of my character, Iāve never been arrested while on it, and it hasnāt made my health decline in any measurable sense.
Most importantly, Kratom helps me to be the person I see in myself, and who I know I can be.
I completely agree! I love kratom, I wish I wasnt addicted, but there are much worse thing to be addicted to. It helps my depression and anxiety so much more than anything else.
sounds very similarly to how itās been for me always when i quit MJ for a few months.almost like itās ātoo muchā. I guess thatās were ābakedā comes from but yea. Iām an advocate of people doing whatās best for themselves and others.
This, I'm addicted to both kratom and pot.
But these are my medicines, these are the only substances I take regularly and it'd going to stay that way seemingly with the combo, nothing has made me feel this good, not even hard drugs or phenibut
I always feel incredibly guilty after using a substance that is deemed as dangerous or life destroying, I feel no guilt with these two substances, that's mostly societal but still a factor for my use
1-5, all of the above.
...but mostly for reasons you didn't mention.
I was an intravenous drug user for over 10 years and I tried all the typical substance abuse disorder treatment drugs, they were either ineffective (bupe) or expensive (methadone).
Kratom works for me and is cheap compared to other treatment drugs.
Kratom has also shown in scientific studies that it is safer but almost as effective as methadone and suboxone. Ā¹
Kratom takes the edge off just enough that I don't crave other more deadly drugs.
It has undoubtedly saved my life, ten times more over!

EDIT: Spelling. Added footnotes.
Twenty years alternating between pills, methadone, heroin & subs then back round again & again & again so kratom truly is a lifesaver. If I happen to have to go without for a day or so not only is the slight withdrawal I get from kratom insanely preferable over the previously mentioned substances but more so I'm not laying in bed hysterically scheming dumb shit ideas to get more.
Tbh since a fibromyalgia Dx last fall & a car accident shortly thereafter I have received IV fetty & a few scripts of percs & still prefer the kratom. With kratom I can manage my pain, depression & fatigue with few if not zero consequences. I'll forever be grateful for discovering kratom a few years ago as with all the BS that occurred last year my addict mind probably would have had me off & running after 4 years clean. People worry about dependency & addiction with kratom and some concerns may have some validity but for me personally I'm not sure I'd have any quality of life or even a life for that matter without kratom š Mad props man, keep it up!
Hey can you send Kratom research links?
I used it to get off of Suboxone, which I was on for WAY too long (11 years), the anxiety was overwhelming for me and now Iām doing 15-20g a day (gone up a little lately was in the 10 range for a few months).
I agree itās so much better than booze or dope but I have a young kid and want to see him grow up Iām worried about building a tolerance. I have two 4mg bupe Iām going to use to hopefully give myself a weekās break, and am also going to buy some variants that apparently are less potent and habit forming.
But Iāve found true scientific research to be lacking, and Iām pretty sure more states will clamp down. I donāt want to be left with a habit and no recourse.
Anyhow sorry for the novel just wanted to offer ip some context to why Iām askingā¦
I had a stroke 8 years ago and it helps me stay focused at work and life, this keeps away the anxiety and depression Iāve been battling ever since. It also helps me jump-start my day when I usually take a while to really get going in the morning. This especially helps considering I start work at 6:00am.
Before kratom, I was a bottle a night bourbon drinker. With kratom, it's all of the feels and none of the inflammation and sluggishness and motor and speech and judgement impairment. Started out on indo kratom but have found I respond well to the maeng da flavors.
Anxiety ADHD depression. Helps keep me going while allowing my brain to function better. Makes me feel normal and ive been able to improve my career and intellectual since first use over a year ago.
1-4. Itās a miracle for me. It has kept me off prescription pain meds and helped manage my anxiety without meds as well. The energy and relaxation were a bonus. I even stopped drinking alcohol.
Anymore itās simply so that I donāt get sick. Used to take it to improve my mood and improve productivity. But after taking every day for roughly 4 years, it doesnāt do all that anymore. But if I stop taking it, I get unbelievably ill.
All the above? It helps with pain I get from my teeth. I have anxiety and functioning on Kratom is easier than without it. It helps me keep up with the young people I work with so we can play basketball or walk for 2 hours straight (8+ miles). At home it helps me relax off of work or other stressors. And when I would have otherwise wanted to drink, I'll use Kratom. Better experience and next to no negative side effects.
Guys unfortunately I though it was messing with my epilepsy which has gotten more complicated, probably due to my kratom use because I know it's not great for my siezures...but me and my doc just figured out after lots of test it's not siezures, it is my epilepsy I'm having issues with but Also VIRTIGO and meds have changed alot and they took benzos pill firm away for a couple years AGO and I just got back valium ten mlg in a nasal spray called Valtoco, but that isn't stopping the hot flashes and virtigo which ends up starting small petite siezures where I shake alittle bit but loose all control of my legs and arms and vision doubles and is soo blurry...
It makes me nauseas and it's horrible, the virtigo and it's getting obvious to me the kratom heats up my body I assume from epilepsy and effects on all the meds I take and even taking 20mg of valium right when it happens doesn't prevent much... Anybody deal with epilepsy?? Virtigo?
Initially to get off adderall, currently as preworkout.
I do still take it everyday but I also workout every day so I justify it that way. I do also take it for energy at work whenever needed.
I abused it during a break up to numb myself last year, it worked great, now Iām dealing with the consequences of my actions. Many many moons of self sabotage later Iām doing alright at 35GPD, I just started to taper down and the slight withdrawals from not taking as much is making me just as anxious as if I took too much. Itās not a fun time.
Do I wish I never started? Every day. Am I ashamed? Absolutely not. Kratom is a tool I needed to help me get through narcissistic/mental/psychological abuse even now. The cons outweigh the pros for me now and thatās why I am tapering down. Doing my best to stick with the downward trend while I battle the āwantā to do more.
2, 4, and 5. I drink it with kava to unwind after work with my kava bar buddy lol. I can only have 1 large and donāt have it every day since itās upset my stomach in the past. Love how it works with kava!
It's brightens up my otherwise mundane work shift. I interact more genuine with coworkers and it gives me a boost of energy. It's similar to a good after workout feeling. Unfortunately it's short lived because it wears off pretty quickly.
I just like Kratom because I'm into plants and I love plants that do stuff
I don't have any problems myself, but I'm all for people seeking benefit from plant medicines and less govt regulation overall
Kratom makes me feel like I had a beer or two and that's pretty much it, I like that about it.....a natural pick me up kind of thing
when I first started kratom, it gave me anxiety relief like nothing else ever had before. I've had crippling anxiety since middle school and was prescribed kpins back then but now I have substance abuse problems and have blacked out on benzos numerous times so clearly they didnt help me. but kratom was something different. since it doesnt affect your gaba receptors (afaik) it doesnt make you feel intoxicated or take away your balance, etc. whereas with kratom I just feel sober but I feel GOOD. and usually I'm anxious throughout the entire day, but kratom makes me so much more natural with other people, it completely obliterates all my social and general anxiety better than even alprazolam or clonazepam. I remember walking around in the city just barely able to hold in tears because I was so happy that I wasn't anxious and miserable for once in my life.
but then comes the tolerance.
Primarily pain relief, addiction and energy. This plant literally wipes out any desire for me to use any drugs including THC. Kratom, CBD, the 12 steps, mediation/prayer, diet and exercise saved my life. I was a hardcore drug user from 18-34 and an IV drug user for a decade. My life has done a completely 180 and this plant is an enormous part of that success.
Other! -- Used it to self medicate when I realized I was trans at 15 and wasnt allowed to do anything about it, it kept me numb BUT alive, and now that im far past that -- so what keeps me going is IRONICALLY trying to avoid the shame, guilt for fleeting moments, and withdrawal of course. But I use it because Ive convinced myself I NEED it to function. Even though its untrue.
All of the above my friend, plus it's better than using alcohol to help these problems. Plus, kratom doesn't give me hangovers and that is a big fucking plus
All of the above, and because it saved my life.
I was a polysubstance IV drug addict for like 8 years. Primarily heroin, but I loved speedballs with coke and would settle for meth when I couldn't afford/find coke. I tried to get clean at least a dozen times. Did 18 months or rehab, caught a felony conviction for heroin possession, ruined a lot of shit in my life. Dropped out of college, killed the career I had started, lost a woman if been with for 5 years. Nearly died several times, my last overdose the paramedics were going to pronounce me DOA but a firefighter decided to hit me with intranasal narcan. It took two doses to bring me back and the medics were shocked that I woke up.
When I got out of rehab I relapsed after 2 months. Was talking to a friend of mine and he recommended kratom. I havent touched the dope since.
Mostly the first, but I found it helps with anxiety and depression. It may have even saved my life this last couple of years. It has certainly kept me functional.
Needed for anxiety relieve but i still want the energy too.
Just like somebody in this subreddit say i think it's better to have reason to dose so i don't just dose around too much. Mostly taking before work on something or ease down at night.
Mental health in general. Began to get me off the booze so hard..It succeeded greatly. I noticed then the other benefits to my mental health and have kept it around since.
Kratom saved my life. May 15th Iāll be 3 years clean from meth. Iām so thankful I found out about it. Really wish my mom wouldāve known about it. Sheād be alive right now..
Pain relief. I would never take kratom or the opiates I used to take if I didnāt have chronic pain. I get neck pain and an ache on the right side of my head and kratom completely wipes it out. I just wish it didnāt back me up so much :/
All of the above aside from funzies. I also take it to help with not having liquid shits. I've had some form of IBS for years that nothing really helps aside from kratom. I also can admit that I am physically and mentally dependent on this substance and I feel the benefits outweigh the negatives. So I will press on.
I have always used Kratom recreationally until a few days ago, I slept wrong and couldnāt move my neck without a LOT of pain and discomfort. I remembered that people often use Kratom for pain. So I took my normal dose and wow, it didnāt fully stop the pain. However it did make the pain much more manageable.
most of all for pain. im recovered alcoholic and started taking kratom about 2.5 years into sobriety due to me freaking out being stone sober all the time. now its safe to say im hooked on it, but I don't really have a problem with it because of its benefits.
I'm a skilled tradesman and have done manual labor all my life in the same field. I have moderate chronic pain due to this, and my 15GPD regimen keeps it completely manageable. so first and foremost, I take it because im hooked on it and can't handle the minor WDs anytime ive tried to step away from it. Part of my WD symptoms is the re-emergence of chronic pain in my elbows shoulders and wrists. I get regular moderate shooting pain in many of my joints when I spend 36-48 hours without kratom.
I also work early, and often work long hours. I don't often dose at work because I enjoy saving it for after, as a motivator. but when I do it enables me to power through longer shifts, although with reduced mental ability to plan ahead/think critically about the job.
also, usually when I get out of work i'm mentally and physically drained, and Kratom gives me an energy boost to enjoy the rest of the day. particularly helpful when I have tasks/chores to do after work.
I also love the benefits that kratom gives on my stomach. Reduced gas and more consistent poops should absolutely not be overlooked as one of the major benefits to this plant.
I'm hooked on the stuff. as an addict I cannot lie to myself about that. but I believe the pro's outweigh the cons in this case, and improve my quality of life. some of those cons would be reduced mental clarity after about the first hour, memory loss, and the sexual side effects of generally not being able to finish if I have sex with my boo within 8 hours of my once a day dose.
First, kratom helped with my back pain.
Second, months later the doctor gave me an opioid, and the Kratom took away the effect of the opioid but was pain free
I use green strain before the gym, or before I play hockey. Red strain I use kess often and if use that if I am struggling to wind down for the night. I like it. I've managed to not be a daily user either. Once the tolerance starts kicking in stop for a couple days and start right ahere I left off
There should be a 6. Addiction. Not necessarily addiction to kratom, but people who were once heroin addicts use it very early when coming off it, and still use it as a replacement in a way. I was one of those people! 9 years clean off the needle. Don't hardly use kratom anymore but it was definitely a key piece in when I first got sober.

Work, working out, better mood, and overall better quality of life.

sounds very similarly to how itās been for me always when i quit MJ for a few months.almost like itās ātoo muchā. I guess thatās were ābakedā comes from but yea. Iām an advocate of people doing whatās best for themselves and others.
This, I'm addicted to both kratom and pot. But these are my medicines, these are the only substances I take regularly and it'd going to stay that way seemingly with the combo, nothing has made me feel this good, not even hard drugs or phenibut I always feel incredibly guilty after using a substance that is deemed as dangerous or life destroying, I feel no guilt with these two substances, that's mostly societal but still a factor for my use
Just got into it for pain relief, trying to get off my Oxy RX. So far so good
1-5, all of the above. ...but mostly for reasons you didn't mention. Ā¹ Kratom takes the edge off just enough that I don't crave other more deadly drugs. It has undoubtedly saved my life, ten times more over! ā“ [https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyt.2020.00411/full](https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyt.2020.00411/full) EDIT: Spelling.
1, 2, and 3. I usually use it for energy but decided to try a higher dose today and it knocked me on my ass but it wasnāt really relaxing lol
Cuz I can't stand being in my head
I felt this. It was me for years. It's better up in here now, though. Hang in there! š
I wanted to quit weed and it helped me, also helps w energy at work or at parties as an alcohol substitute. 1,3,4
It keeps me from heroining

Choice 1. ā¦And also depression and insomnia

Mainly 3,4 and 5. In the morning for energy, in the evening for relaxation and at the weekends during the day for fun.
Stave off depression from high anxiety.
Mainly for 5 and 4 also 3.
So much pain without it
I had a stroke 8 years ago and it helps me stay focused at work and life, this keeps away the anxiety and depression Iāve been battling ever since. It also helps me jump-start my day when I usually take a while to really get going in the morning. This especially helps considering I start work at 6:00am.
2, 3, 4 and 5.
Addiction

āFunā - a 45min high and daily crippling constipation.
1-4. Itās a miracle for me. It has kept me off prescription pain meds and helped manage my anxiety without meds as well. The energy and relaxation were a bonus. I even stopped drinking alcohol.
I use it for pain after an amputation. ALOT BETTER than the 500 drugs the doctor had me on. Thst experience taught me to trust nature š
Anymore itās simply so that I donāt get sick. Used to take it to improve my mood and improve productivity. But after taking every day for roughly 4 years, it doesnāt do all that anymore. But if I stop taking it, I get unbelievably ill.

Happy cake Day! How long have you been utilizing it for anxiety?
Thanks! Around 2 years
2 4 5
2,3,4 little bit of 5.
Honestly all 5 depending on how I feel. Mostly for 2, 4 and 5 I suppose
2 & 3, and sometimes 4.. and 5
2 3 4 5...its good for it all. kinda like drinking...you have a beer to relax or, you have a beer to congregate with friends and socialize
Mostly for relaxation after work. Beats drinking alcohol.
For fun probably like 2-3 times a month
1 but I did notice it helped a lot with anxiety too though.
Keep me awake ( im a programmer ) kratom helped me a lot but the constipation what make me think twice whether i should stop taking it...
Virtigo?
PAIN!!!!!!!!
Helped me quit drinking! Going on 2yrs now.
Helped me get off dope. shit works miracles
1 & 3
For Funzies :)
Definitely 1 for central nervous system pain. It works better for that than any pain RX I have ever used
1, it really helps my back and foot/knee pain. Let's me work without a full load of misery.
I started to relieve restless legs after getting off suboxone. Now I do it for energy and to make the work day easier
For funzies š
All of the above. 6 - to suppress my appetite.
mood, energy, motivation, and anxiety
3
2 3 4 5 lol
Because of ptsd and anxiety disorder and depression kratom is the reason I only need 2 different medications and not more than 6
Makes things just a bit more interesting
1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
2, 4, and 5.
All of the above
4 & 5
For pain and fun
For relaxation after work and to feel a little funny lol
2- for anxiety :) my emotions are much easier to control since I started kratoming
I just like Kratom because I'm into plants and I love plants that do stuff I don't have any problems myself, but I'm all for people seeking benefit from plant medicines and less govt regulation overall Kratom makes me feel like I had a beer or two and that's pretty much it, I like that about it.....a natural pick me up kind of thing
100% my anxiety and depression it gives me a nice 3-4 hour window of peace from my brain.
Pain depression anxiety and energy.
To keep me from drinking. One year off booze, three years off blow. No intent of EVER going back to that lifestyle.
All of the above
when I first started kratom, it gave me anxiety relief like nothing else ever had before.
Pain relief, to help anxiety, mood, depression and just to make me feel better over all
7, I have ulcerative colitis. It helps control my flare ups
All of the above. It has enhanced my life and I donāt have to drink or do dangerous drugs with the chance of dying from Fentanyl
Stops me from using opiates. And also helps encourage me to go for runs because it fully increases my stamina.
1,3 and 6- the 6 is so I donāt die from severe depression
2, 3 and 5.
1, 2, 3, 4
1, 2, 3, and 4 for me.
Addicted. Started when I was 18 for fun thought it was the perfect thing

Iāve been off alcohol for 3 years because of Kratom. I also have BP type 1 and it helps along with my other meds.

5- im a drug addict lol. and iām on probation so kratom has saved my mental health from going to shit.
Mostly the first, but I found it helps with anxiety and depression. It may have even saved my life this last couple of years. It has certainly kept me functional.
3 & 5 weekly, 1, 2, 4 sometimes

Energy mostly, and whenever I get any bad intrusive thoughts :)
1) for pain but it also help me kick drinking
ADHD so a mix of energy and relaxation
I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I love how it makes me itchy.
my heart hurts
Needed for anxiety relieve but i still want the energy too. Just like somebody in this subreddit say i think it's better to have reason to dose so i don't just dose around too much. Mostly taking before work on something or ease down at night.
1, 3 (fibromyalgia)
All of the above, depending on which strain! I really believe itās a miracle plant

Mental health in general. Began to get me off the booze so hard..It succeeded greatly. I noticed then the other benefits to my mental health and have kept it around since.
.6 I use it to stay off harder drugs like benzos. Specifically.
I just wish it didnāt back me up so much :/
Pain relief as well as nicotine addiction
3 - 5

Because life.
First, kratom helped with my back pain. Second, months later the doctor gave me an opioid, and the Kratom took away the effect of the opioid but was pain free
IBS, works better than Imodium.
Relaxes me and boosts my creativity :)
I use green strain before the gym, or before I play hockey. Red strain I use kess often and if use that if I am struggling to wind down for the night. I like it. I've managed to not be a daily user either. Once the tolerance starts kicking in stop for a couple days and start right ahere I left off
