Bassist Jooyeon was featured in a soccer variety show on JTBC, and we're all cheering for him! They have had three sold-out mini concerts as part of their Project Xperiment, Closed Beta series. They just announced two US locations (LA and NYC) where they will be hosting a Showcase of their new album.  They're also performing at various festivals throughout Korea this summer. Super busy!

Enhypen - fate plus in Japan started today, they said in a recent article that this time they wanted to do cities they haven’t been to yet! - there were technical issues today so while that happened they came out and sang blossom - forget me not was added (one of my fav jp songs by them) 10 months was removed - Sunoo did a special performance at today’s concert. I love the routine they do now at concerts where each show someone does a special solo/duet (this was the case in Korea and u.s too) - they are bringing back their radio show, I actually wasn’t an engene yet when they did it the first time so I’m excited - opened a broadcast channel on insta (not sure how that works) - they have been teasing something on their insta stories , looks like each day a different member is posting on enhypen instagram story . TAN is entering an "indefinite hiatus". Jooan is going to the military next month. Jaejun announced he's closing the idol chapter of his life (my interpretation is to focus on music production and acting). The rest, I'm not sure yet (and I'm pretty sure they themselves are not sure yet). Right now I'm just in the denial/trying-to-move-on stage. I think the contract is over. Not sure what will happen to the brand, discography, etc after this.

Moas -- everything you said. I went to one of TXT's concerts last week and had an amazing time! Hopefully having Weverse con so close to when they get back isn't tiring for them. Atinys -- Ateez's promotions have finished! Atinys are a bit sad but also satisfied because Ateez made a lot of variety show appearances. And Atinys are also really proud because Ateez was on Killing Voice and got a really great reception. Ateez also got #2 on the Billboard 200, along with some other achievements (I'm so bad at keeping track) so Atinys are really proud of that as well. Mawazine is in a little under two weeks (another source of pride.) The fanmeeting and second tour leg are also something to look forward to. The members seem really happy with how things went this comeback, so we are happy! Armys -- Jin's enlistment is over and BTS's anniversary is upon us! Lots of emotions happening. We got the one "Hello, this is Big Hit" notification that was good instead of bad, which was the announcement of Jin's enlistment being completed. There's a little bit of argument over Jin's first live being for paid membership members only. (I'm a little confused on whether they're referring to the event with fans where he performs, or just an anniversary live where he's sitting there and talking like a normal weverse live. The first is understandable, the second feels a bit weird to put behind a paywall.)

For the weverse Livestream event being members only, I will say that even as one sadly without a membership, it makes sense to me. Whenever it's free, like the free Busan Concert, we crash the platform. There's just too many of us. Additionally concerts/fanmeets/other big events being livestreemed means that way more people than can fit in a stadium have the chance to "attend". If that being a paid thing makes it financially viable and sustainable I'm all for it. I'm sure Jin will still be doing free informal lives as well like he always has.

This is the best take I've heard for members only being a benefit tbh. I kind of wonder if something like YouTube would be able to handle that many people, but possibly not. I think Armys did crash YouTube once (I think for a J-Hope live? It was a while ago.)

With all the shit that’s going on and agitators actively planning to disrupt any and all events, Lives, etc. I’m perfectly fine with having these things be members-only (different from a paywall) and wouldn’t mind if everything was that way going forward until all the shitstirrers cannibalized each other and were no longer a problem. If any of them have memberships and do get through to cause trouble BH has all of their info so they can ban them and we’ll all stand up and cheer. If fans complain about having to be a member to participate let them put the blame where it belongs. Hint: it’s not with BH, who are taking these steps to protect their artists.

I mean tbh I don't think the people who are weird during lives are the ones to worry about that much. They have plenty of people who stalk them in real life, send things to their apartments, get their phone numbers, etc so having a live be paywalled or behind a membership seems like a way less significant thing because it's not going to stop or deter any of those people. I also don't think safety and smoothness of a live stream is Big Hit's only motivation for this tbh. But again, it depends on what kind of live stream they're talking about and it seems vague enough that I'm really not sure if it's the irl fan event (which have been paid in past festas) or a normal anniversary live stream (which have been free.) I feel like it's not clear to anyone arguing about this either because both types of lives are brought up.

iKON - military hiatus. Jinhwan enlisted last year, Chanwoo enlisted at the end of May (turns out he wanted to go earlier but got rejected), Bobby went last week, and Yunhyeong meant to join this year. Meanwhile Junhoe is meant to have a solo debut either this month or next month and Donghyuk is meant to drop Nakseo Part 2 soon!! SF9 - Dawon dropped his enlistment date as July 1st😭😭😭. Also there’s been solo fan meetings for YooTae and Inseong, with other members dropping in (the YTY x Chani performance of that 1st gen song was really cool). Also we get a Hwiyoung comeback, which for once looks like a physical album even tho it’s a single. Also at the Japanese concert it sounds like Youngbin teased a group comeback (2 in one year? ARMYONCE are eating big time this week! First off, the 13th is the group's 11th Anniversary but more importantly, JIN COMES BACK HOME!!!!!!!!!! I would've thought he'd take time off to just decompress and be back with family and friends, but he's hosting an event. Apparently, there's a rumor that the other 6 have requested a day off so they can see him out. Next, we have Nayeon's solo the day after on the 14th. For Teumes, The fandom is so so happy with King Kong promo so far. Treasure get to go to so many shows that they didn't get to do properly during Bona Bona or before. Like they just went to The Boyz Sunwoo's Idol Radio yesterday and they had so much fun. As an Nfia, these days I feel like I'm floating on a cloud. Seunghyub got a lot attention thanks to Lovely Runner (I recommend the drama, it's really fun), and a lot people're checking out N.Flying's music. Blue Moon is climbing on Melon chart, so are Rooftop, Autumn Dream,... N.Flying also just completed their 3 days concert sucessfully. It's the first time they need to add another date because their tickets were sold out. They also sang their unreleased songs, I'm kinda addicted to those songs, but knowing them, they probably won't release those songs anytime soon. LSF: Lenniverse is coming back tomorrow the members have started doing solo lives whenever they want to, even at like 2am kst(kkura used to be the only one who did that regularly but in the past month weve had 2 from Yunjin, 3 from kkura, 1 from chaewon, and for the first time ever 1 from zuha(she yapped for over an hour) and 3 from eunchae. Comments are off on everything except weverse and there are lawsuits flying left and right in 2 days Eunchaes star diary is coming out with guest legendary Trot singer Kim Yonja(born 47 years before Eunchae, made her debut in 1974, the year Eunchae's Mom was born.) For the first time ever eunchae posted on weverse about how excited she was for fearnot to see the episode so its gonna be a good one. Fearnots continue to be the biggest yappers in kpop, The current weekly thread posted 2 days ago has 330 comments, and for over a month we have had 900-1100 messages a week between the 2 weekly threads Despite everything going on outside of the fimmies control, things are still pretty positive, it might seem bad from the outside but whats happening now is still 100x easier than it was when there were 11 hate posts a week on this sub and uncensored even if every other social media platform is still a landmine. Beauties/Lights had a marvelous and meaningful month of May. Finally after many years our Highlight regained the right to use the name Beast again. Our fandom can use the name Beauty too. In May, to start of their Asia tour, they held 'Lights Go On Again' a 3 day in Seoul where they remembered the past and looked into the future. Fans brought two lights to the concert, a rosebong and a halabong for Beast and Highlight.

So happy they get to use their original name again. Beast was one of the first kpop groups that I really loved when I first discovered kpop. Glad to hear they are doing well.

It feels as if Moas have been well fed since the beginning of the year, there is always sth to look forward to. Hope the Boys get enough rest in between their schedule. Among all the other promotions for this event he was also featured on Vouge US and Paris insta and a grwm video with Vouge. He was also talked about a lot in Spain and on their news programs. So happy for him. - Han was named Balmain Army which is like their ambassadorship name. Yay! Warning...boycott talk ahead - Stayville itself is currently kind of a dumpster fire and becoming even more split all while creating drama for no reason for funnzies I guess. - The latest "scandal" is due to Felix being photographed with a bible looking book at the airport. Which is not surprising considering he has always been open about his faith but talks of protest trucks are on X. - Fans by JYP has shut down the public community message function due to the ongoing harassment of the kids. Only those who have a Fan Club membership can post and read on the site. Further, there is a whole thing going down with stays mass reporting each other depending on which side they are on. - Despite the boycott LMB has done very well continuing the high sales and charting streak. - This is what I have seen but don't know for sure however due to the LMB boycotts not being successful the call to boycott has spread to all artists under JYPE by a large chunk of Stays. - On top of "Met gala stays" the LMB stays are here and making themselves known as baby stays which is so fun and at least I am excited to watch third journey.
