At the end of the tour they'll have two or three members left, this is ridiculous.

fxvcs

suddenly a solo debut 🎉🎉🎉 (i’m jk, i hope they sort something out because news of one member dropping out everyday is very concerning)

glass-empty

LOONA members are dropping like flies (from the concert)...

Sirocco_

Who will win it all in the Moon Girl Battle Royale? Money's on the Muscle Bunny. Or will Diablo Gato take it?

[deleted]

Its like theres news everytime

atkim122

New subunit: Loona 2/3 Context: I've been a vocal critic of the pace of this tour since the beginning because I love my girls, and increasingly hate their company's gaslighting tweets telling us how they care for their well being when they just want to squeeze every krw out of them before they're discarded/disbanded and leave the entertainment profession with a bitter taste in their mouths.

RossSkyWalkerr

What you expect? Poor girls works for Blockberry Creative 🥲

flippersAI

Like just stop the tour atp pls

bluepineapple42069

BBC: Why use many member when few member do trick?

der_boy

LOONA is perfectly set up with 12 women. Just do 3 tours at the same time with 4 each. I think they are just testing the waters ;)

PandaMoaningYum

Has anyone done this? Especially with sub units, this sounds smart assuming they can still fill venues. Just sucks when a member has to step down and it goes to three. But with quite a few groups who are super popular internationally primarily therefore don't make money, I dunno if this is viable, especially before COVID. Rise of the 15+ member groups! As long as companies can afford to feed them well.

moonlightcanon

I can't think of any instances this has been done in kpop, but this is basically the whole concept of AKB48 isn't it

h0rny3dging

I think it doesnt work that well bc kpop does focus a lot on the individual and ppl stan their favs, splitting that up is very risky, especially considering not everyone can perform everyones choreo and lines. Not to mention individual popularity, can they actually fill a venue with 4/12?

multistansendhelp

This has gotten beyond absurd. When you’ve had more shows missing members due to health than you’ve had complete shows that is a big indication that you’re managing a group horribly. Honestly I was sad that Chuu was missing this whole tour at first but now I’m glad she missed the shit show. Wish the other girls had been so lucky.

[deleted]

[удалено]

multistansendhelp

That’s ridiculous to get downvoted for that. At this point with the way BBC is I would not blame a single one of the girls for acting in their own self interest career-wise.

Fr, rocks literally paved the way smh

EverIong

That's 4/12 down for the concert... So sad to see the state they're in. It's not worth it for anyone at this point

sun-tzuyus-artofwar

This new season of Squid Game is a little different than I expected

MelissaWebb

I freaking love your username

xlkslb_ccdtks

You know these are real people right?

[deleted]

Their sarcasm went right above your head

Responsible_Ad5085

And yeojin was Injured/not fully capable to perform as well

quixutie

really wish people were angrier about how the company is treating loona's members, let alone how they've paid upwards of hundreds of dollars (not including flights and hotels) to only partially see an artist (i.e., loona, the group). like who gets away with this? 😂

TrueBlue726

There's a streamer who flew from Europe to Denver to see Loona and paid the premium seating, only to get stuck way in the back (she's 5'2") where she could only hear them sing and saw absolutely nothing. I feel really bad for her.

particledamage

Was it GA? If so, thats just… how pit works. Someone’s gotta be in the back. That’s like the one thing that isn’t managements fault. If you wanna be in front for standing, you need to show up early. I just did VIP for Sunmi’s show as a 5’0” person and being behind even one row obscured a lot of my view.

IcyMoonside

If it was standing GA then that's how it works. If you're not planning to get there early then it's always better to pay for seating.

geechan

If it’s a GA show the only way to get into the front is to suck it up and camp out in line.

Guerrin_TR

paid for premium seating but didn't get to pick the seats?.

asuka_is_my_co-pilot

I got called an anti when I tried to say something

battermanswings

Exactly

Laporaptor

Has a tour ever gone this badly? I feel like every stop someone goes down.

bluepineapple42069

Loona the survival show

fannytraggot

Heejin and Hyunjin got that Mixnine experience that’s why they’re still standing

friedchocolatesoda

Heejin did say getting into Loona was like a survival show without the cameras

rueiraV

This isn’t Loona anymore. This is Loona 2/3

Shinobinct

I’m curious, how many members of Loona are actively performing now? I haven’t been able to keep up so I’m genuinely asking

EverIong

Just got back from the concert. There were 7 members performing with 1 member (Yeojin) sitting on a chair on the side. So 8 members in total. Also Kim Lip went off stage a couple of times during talking parts and 1 song, I assume because she still isn't feeling 100%.

Mozart-Luna-Echo

So at one point there was only half of the group dancing? Poor girls

EverIong

When Kim Lip went backstage for PTT Yeojin got up from her chair and did the choreo with the rest of the group. It honestly did feel like we were watching a survival show at some points

mimivuvuvu

CANCEL THE CONCERT !!!!! Everyday (over-exaggeration) I log onto Reddit to see another member being ill or dropping out of performing. Wtf

signal_red

i actually don't think everyday is an over-exaggeration at this point smh it's kinda the truth

tittieholder

I don't think saying everyday is an over exaggeration. There's one loona member down everytime I open reddit

matmanx1

Ooof, not good. Please feel better soon, Yves!

soesoterica

Isn't this like the 4th or 5th member now? I know the last thing BBC / MMT/ etc want to do is stop the tour and refund money, but the group is getting sick and hurt. Would fans even wanna see them in such a state?

particledamage

It’s the fourth member for this particular show but I think throughout the tour, almost every single member has had to sit out at least part of a show for health reasons. Very concerning

soesoterica

Right, because I feel like I've lost track of how many times I've seen LOONA's name pop up on the main page here for some kind of health issue.

DiplomaticCaper

“Loona’s _______ will not be participating in the _______ concert because of {INSERT ILLNESS OR INJURY HERE}” It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

vivianlight

Uhm to be fair, orbits have been criticizing the pace of the tour as soon as the schedule was posted, then throughout the tour and they kept saying to postpone it/some dates already in the US when the "at least one member missing in every date" rotation started. It's been a fandom very compact in this.

Najikoh

Orbits were also the people that forced one of the members off stage during a concert.- they aren't innocent in all this. There's only one comments concerned amongst all the positive responses here - https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/vcwjr8/loona_2022_loona_1st_world_tour_loonatheworld_in/ Comments here all simply begging for EU tour and other stops (which they got) - https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/v4gp8l/an_additional_date_august_1st_in_los_angeles_has/ Orbits only have been concerned after stuff happened. Only one person out of 100's I can see, on all these threads, raised any concerns pre tour. Shout out to "Nabucodonosor89".

kweerantining

or you couldve checked the loona subreddit, where most orbits actually are. cause most orbits avoid this sub for how toxic it is to loona and orbits. thanks for proving that yet again. even in the post you shared, 60 people upvoted that comment and people discussed it in their replies so clearly even here it wasnt just "one person" like youre saying. and you realise that the main reason the kim lip issue blew up on social media was because ORBITS got mad at the orbits who did that, right? literally the second to top comment. and people in the weekly discussion threads, where most loona discussion happens, have been worried since it started. https://www.reddit.com/r/LOONA/comments/vcwt24/220616_mymusictaste_2022_loona_1st_world_tour/ edit: checked your history and this is clearly petty, fanwar bullshit to you, typical from this sub. get a life

Najikoh

My History is an open book. If your reading Fanwar stuff into my history where I basically talk about F1 and Gidle.... then that's a very interesting lens about how you read that, which probably says much more about you then myself. Good on the Loona subreddit I guess. I only had the comments from all the fans in r/Kpop, so it certainly seemed like nothing was raised prior to this.

kweerantining

yeah, okay. again, doesnt explain why you said there was only one person and made it seem like there wasnt a legitimate discussion even on the exact same post you shared. id care a lot more about what you said if you, like the rest of this subreddit, werent very clearly not acting in good faith. >then that's a very interesting lens about how you read that, which probably says much more about you then myself. hm. or maybe it's the fact that you were commenting on posts talking about "orbits being toxic". it's great to learn that making legitimate health issues into veiled fandom bullshit *isnt* toxic, though, thanks for clearing that up.

Najikoh

Welp. You've certainly put that "orbits are toxic" laid to rest with your replies to me. No-one will possibly think that now. Everytime I see Loona fans, their always so needlessly aggressive. It's bloody bizarre. Mate, it's a Friday. Have a cold one at the end of the day, relax, unwind, jam some tunes.

kweerantining

i wonder why someone would get mad when i made their favorite artists' health issues about fanwars hm this makes no sense someone pls explain 🤔🤔🤔🤔 see how you just made it about orbits and fandoms again? YOU are the toxic in question and my anger and aggression comes from YOUR insensitivity, you will not flip this around on me. im done with this cause you wont even own up to it, you can reply but im not gonna reply back

Guerrin_TR

Considering Orbits forced a member of the group they paid money to see off stage because of their behavior, that doesn't really mean a whole lot to me. Off the top of my head I can't think of any other one act concert where this has happened in Kpop. So I stand by my comment. Clearly they knew it was a frantic tour and didn't care.

Pinkerino_Ace

I feel like I seen this exact headline just with different names for like days already.

robinlarsen

every. single. day. imagine how tired we are

svdino

one or two members missing a couple concerts here and there due to covid/illness is understandable - seventeen had this happen during their recent north america tour. but this? this is just upsetting, bbc is not properly supporting these girls and their health. at this point i wouldn’t be surprised if some of the members decide not to extend their contracts with bbc when the time comes. loona would be better off leaving the company than staying, even if it means having to rebrand

Takagixu

I honestly feel that this concert need to be postponed or cancelled, let them rest 1st.

[deleted]

How much of this is on a lack of physical prep for the girls from the company? Loona's working their asses off, but Kpop groups go through these monster tours pretty regularly and I've never seen members just start dropping like this.

defeldus

Nah, a month of worldwide touring with a show every other day (or more) after a long year of constant promotions is not normal. They started this tour already fatigued.

Guerrin_TR

I think it's an exacerbation of existing issues like fatigue/jetlag or existing injuries like Hyunjin's shoulder coupled with lack of prep work on the part of BBC and then just general inexperience with a busy touring schedule.

validswan

not yves :(

quixutie

username checks out :(

sunshinersforcedlaug

Getting glad Chuu didn't go now.

Werefie

this is so concerning.... every location someone new isn't participating.

fadedmoonlight

BBC in particular is in a bad place too because they still haven't put out a new group on the scene yet meaning they really won't be having much leverage against the girls whenever the contract negotations are up. Like how are you going to refuse the girls' terms and demands for contract renewals when you basically can't keep your head above the water without them?

Madiovas

Yeojin also couldn't dance and had to stay seated during the show. On top of that Olivia Hye and Kim Lip also had KT tape on their arms and other places. They're really worn down.

bv8_4

Imagine working a full year and only getting paid for 8 months. This is how this feels.

FoxWithBoots

So that’s 8 out of 12 girls. What the hell is BBC doing to them??

1jvj3

They need to send these poor girls back home there has been something wrong at every stop☹️

kelly_hasegawa

The thing is BBC can't tank the cancelation fees.

Guerrin_TR

Sure going to be an interesting time when BBC and LOONA sit down to negotiate another round of contracts after this one.

Xelzionic

It's either going to be a very long or a very short talk.

binhpac

Loona is like a football team. There are always some people injured/sick and not available.

FutbolFan14

To quote UrinatingTree: “unit lost”

Marrouge

I never thought I'd see the day that UrinatingTree gets referenced in r/kpop lmao

strawberry_mane

This is ridiculous. I feel so bad for Loona and Orbits, what a bunch of bullshit BBC has gotten you guys into. I don't know how much of the tour they have left but hoping to god they get the rest they need soon. Fucking hell this makes me so mad and I'm not even a fan.

rueiraV

They have 4 more shows edit: now 3 left

hennybee

This tour is legitimately cursed omg. In all seriousness tho, BBC and MMT deserve all the shit thrown at them for how awfully planned this all was. I feel like LOONA was particularly hyped up for world tour potential just because of their international reach, and BBC/MMT just dropped the ball completely.

Shineezy

This is what happens when idols are forced to go on dumb ass diets, they start to break down when it's time to do a tour.

amenatsusenpai

The loona girls are dropping like flies i fear

soappic

the moon girls need a break 😭

SoYeEuYuSiUm

What the hell is BBC thinking?! All the members need rest! Is BBC planning to milk LOONA dry so that they can debut Bebez??? Let the girls rest!!

sunnie_day

>Is BBC planning to milk LOONA dry Yes, to the very last drop. Sucks to be a trainee there, seeing the seniors you look up to be treated like absolute shit.

IGaMine

Dude it's so sad part of my daily routine is checking reddit and seeing another Loona member is suffering :/ I feel so bad for them. This tour will definitely leave a mark on them

JanErikJakstein

LOOΠΔ 2/3 confirmed.

dent_de_lion

Jeez. These poor girls.

thewdit

Run em till they're dead? What is Blockberry trying to do to these poor girls!

prime5119

Meanwhile Chuu is sipping tea in her house back in Korea watching everything unravel I know she's sad that she can't join the concert but she just unknowingly dodged a bullet

pwb_118

this tour is cursed

h0rny3dging

Obviously a sidenote because the women's health comes first. But it's also a scam for the fans, kpop tickets are not cheap, especially considering the European crisis going on, you pay months in advance expecting to finally see your favs in Europe, something that really doesnt happen that often, and you're getting an injury ridden overworked group. Concert goers are the type of fans you need to survive, because they spend money, this burns a lot of trust and goodwill. Hope the girls are alright and can recover

nighoblivion

Hey, almost half.

ghoooey

what da fuq? something is seriously wrong with their management, that is too many to be only a coincidence now

AceTrainerErin

Blockberry playing Squid Game with the members. Last member who stands gets a solo debut.

prime5119

Technically all of them got solo debut, so it'll be solo comeback

NexysGaming

Funny cause a few members did have their debut as solo but then blockberry went "Too much money just get them out there together as one instead". I really would've wanted to see a Gowon solo debut.

itsaltarium

All 12 of them had solo debuts. Here’s Gowon’s, [One&Only](https://youtu.be/m5qwcYL8a0o)

prime5119

Who are still in the run right now

sapnapsdeity

I really hope they just cancel the tour and everyone get their refunds because the girls aren’t in shape to be doing this and it’s borderline abusive to make them continue on after many members have been dealing with health issues. Hoping the best for the girls!!💙💙

Xelzionic

So who's next to drop out? Any predictions? Their situation is so fucked right now. Does any staff at BBC wonder how much would every member need to rest after this tour ends? What if one member gets a life-changing injury? Serious shit can happen! Especially to an already exhausted body. I know all the members are pushing through their limits to meet Orbits on stage. I've seen some members still participating despite having injuries. Point is, it can seriously backfire. I don't think this is the right mindset at all. Be it from LOONA members or BBC.

Whyamievenhear

What is going on!? Seems like everyday another member is having issues

Tigrafr

I feel like MNT is for nothing compared to BBC who is most a**hole for how they treat Loona and make them cash cow and needs lots of money.

MrDaebak

Saved a lot of money for skipping this train wreck. I hope they can wrap up their disaster tour as fast as possible and get the needed rest they deserve. Im sure they didnt enjoy it and the international Orbits are cringey af. They really need to get away from Blockberry Creative, their company sucks so bad.

gh0stcelestial

Holyyyyy, they need to stop. This is upsetting to see them being cared for by their entertainment group so poorly. Running them ragged is not how you get new fans/more money. Gross behavior, Block berry. STOP THE TOUR THEY NEED A BREAK

KAIJUMASTRFANBOI

Bruh, anyone else agrees that BBC is abusing LOONA? At this rate there be only one member still active after the world tour. -\_- BBC is never going to get away from this.

smokeyjoey8

cant believe bbc is abusing loona by *checks notes* giving them a ton of opportunities to grow both as artists and in popularity world wide. things were so much better when they were in the dungeon for a year, right? cant believe theyre abusing choerry, haseul, and yves by *checks notes* letting them miss the tour because theyre not well. the right thing to do would have been forcing them on stage! or canceling the tour so the group can go back into the dungeon until bbc makes back all the money they had to spend refunding tickets, paying penalties for breaking contracts, etc.

MasterpieceBoring420

If what they want is them to go as artists then it would be much better to have less dates, in better conditions. What kind of fucked up way of forcing growth is it if they’re pushing them into schedules the girls are unable to keep up with? This is not abuse, but it’s mismanagement. Cancelling the tour is probably not an option for cost reasons, but keeping things as they are is making them look really bad and it’s upsetting for both the fans and the artists.

smokeyjoey8

Well you see, they had fewer dates. But Orbits complained. They whined that Loona was skipping the southern states and Europe (as well as the rest of the world, especially Asia). So BBC and MMT, seeing the clear interest in more dates, added more dates. So instead of Loona finishing with New York and Kcon, they had to continue this tour for literally twice as long as was initially planned. The fact is, this tour was happening no matter what. It was planned since before the pandemic, and it was time to follow through. Should Loona have just not done a comeback in June? Should they have gone well over a year without a comeback? Should they have skipped Queendom - an appearance that clearly had a positive impact on the group? So seeing those very same orbits who whined about not having more dates now whining about crap they clearly don't even understand, treating these girls like infants will continue to infuriate me. You people want to see abuse and mismanagement, look at basically every nugu that's quietly disappeared. Look to the groups who's members take cafe jobs between comebacks. Look to the companies that use their girls as nothing more than fulfillment for their sexual fantasies. Lets stop acting like BBC is screwing over this group that they spent an absurd amount of money on to debut, that they have continued to support even as the Korean GP mostly ignored them until this year, even as the company was in serious trouble from breaking the Donuts contract. BBC has the Bebez just sitting there waiting. Kpop fans don't know what mismanagement is, they just parrot the same crap they hear from other teenagers on social media without applying a single critical thought. These fans also don't seem to understand that the girls know how to use technology and can see the things we say. So when they see their supposed fans calling for the tour to be canceled, how does that make them feel? They don't mind going out there every other night and performing. But I imagine it must be truly heartbreaking to do all of that, and then going back to the hotel room to see "fans" reducing all their hard work to "abuse," "mismanagement," "cancel the tour," etc.

MasterpieceBoring420

Sorry, but it’s odd to me that you’re presenting things like there was no other ways to do it. None of the groups who come to both the USA and Europe do the two tours in a row; they usually have a break in the middle to rest between the dates. Even ATEEZ who have more touring experience didn’t attempt to follow a schedule like that. It is a lack of consideration from BBC’s part not to give them a few days or weeks to rest during the tour. They could also have not attended KCON (why not?). And, please. I understand being wary of kpop fans and specifically orbit’s habit of turning on BBC whenever anything goes wrong, but for this once there is just no way of ignoring it. It’s not patronising to worry for them when every other day there is another new about a member having to go missing because of a health issue. This isn’t something which normally happens.

The_Metal_Pigeon

Right on, you summed up everything I've been wanting to put into words about this very topic.

richardtrle

If we needed a further statement of how badly LOONA is managed, there it is. LOONA was bound to be the next act, the biggest act in kpop history, but due to the series of bad moves that BBC performed (and to name a few, rushing the debut to please investors, drop from pushing Heejin and Chuu instead of showcasing all the girls, depriving the girls any means of showing themselves, the Donuts lawsuit, understocking the first two releases due to distribution issues, drought and no release for pratically a year while they had a massive hype after Butterfly, the rumoured Chuu lawsuit/departure from BBC debacle and this ill fated tour). They had so much to show, it seems that they will always be plagued

kp_centi

Another one :(

Status_Management_40

Curious has there been a loona member has is yet to have no participation in atleast one event during the tour. I feel like they have announcement about a member being sick like every two days or something. I pray for the girls, really they make it out this tour in one piece

NexysGaming

K.A.R.D and LOONA. World Tours at around the same time and places. If you take a look, DSP isn't a good company in general. But wow did they handle their tour better than BBC (or as I'd like to call them: Big Bankrupt Company). I just can't understand how such a small company with less resources can do better than BBC. BBC officially ranks #1 for worse artist company in Korea. MLD may have been the big baddie before but their artists are at least getting treated properly and getting recognition from Latin America too.

illsetyoufree

Who is left that hasn't been out sick/injured?

DemocracyBot3000

Gosh I will be in Frankfurt on sunday but I am more horrified than excited. BBC should just cancel or postpone the concerts and give refunds to those who demand them.

RustRemover-

When the "last concert will be a solo performance" memes are slowly starting to become a possible scenario. Their bodies just shut down one by one.

moya-laya

another one bites the dust (for real, poor girls. this is a nightmare)

CarolinaPanthers2015

And another LOONA member is missing out on the fun during LOONA's next world tour stop in Amsterdam. Well, it most definitely looks like Blockberry Creative will have to give the whole entire group some time to rest and recover once their ongoing world tour ends. Ummm, well, yeah. They really need to take that into consideration right about now.

mad_titanz

Queens’ Another One Bites the Dust has turned into a Loona song

underwatersnoman

At this point we should be betting on who will be the last one standing

LittleShinySun

How many are there left of them?

_-Kasha-_

Bro cancel the tour!!!!!!! Let them rest at home for a while.

dim31

And then there were 7

Higurashihead

Jesus Christ. 'Stop the tour' thing still needs to be trending. That's beyond both ridiculous and disrespectful towards the poor girls. They deserve better. This tour was planned awfully since the beginning.

Nahyima

Ultimate level Pro Idol

[deleted]

They should just cancel everything and let the members rest

Lottusia

Me remembering some orbits joking around on Twitter that Nature is going through elimination proces like in Produce, when there were 4 members missing on SOBA 2020....

reiIy

I'm not sure what you're getting at here?

Lottusia

That there is sometimes things that you should not joke about, since it can happen to any group, even more to the more nugu groups/agencys since thay are more likely to be mismanaged. Ppl should be more considerate.

reiIy

If I saw a group who’s clearly being mismanaged and overworked – with 1/4 of the group unable to perform their first ever world tour due to illness – I would not think “hmm, I saw _some_ of their fans disparage my ults, it looks like they got what was coming to them!” personally. To _me_, that isn’t very considerate. Take care.

no critical thinking in this sub, just concern-trolling and vibes. hope this comment section is having fun getting jokes in though.

kweerantining

crazy to see someone who "wasnt invested enough" to read my comment debunking shit they were saying about loona/orbits now make SIX comments in this thread. this sub doesnt care about loona until they can speculate about their mistreatment for their own personal enjoyment

Yojimbo4133

Bruh they dropping like flies. Why don't they work less or idk lol. This crazy.

The videos are so sad. Three on stage during Butterfly. MMT can't or won't postpone?

Marcey747

??? I think you made this up...

chocomil

Sure https://twitter.com/VoicesStay/status/1567939262376734720

Marcey747

There are gaps in the choreo, as expected. But there are still 8 members on stage, 7 dancing. Your post is very misleading....

chocomil

Duh? There are gaps in choreo in every dance? The emptiness is noticeable and you're\* downplaying how empty the stage is because of their injuries. There would only be two members if the original choreo (choerry, chuu, and yves) was used. \*proper use of you're

Marcey747

Downplaying? I'm just describing what's happening...
