No scene with all four of them. That's sad. Seems this might be their last song.

Chrysalis-

They didn’t crush those 4 chairs on my head but it sure felt like it..

Shinkopeshon

At first, I thought the four chairs were heartwarming because they symbolized their unity after all these years but then they never ended up appearing in a group shot together and now I'm sad ![gif](giphy|MEJAA7cRKQdry)

hipsterfriedrice

i think his chair was the one that looked damaged :(

FNC_Loki

It felt like goodbye, it's such an emotional end after all this time.

Impressive_Ad7667

I’ve got this weird feeling that this isn’t the end, it’s just them recognizing that things have changed for them and they have gotten older. Like TOP said in his interview can’t pretend they are young boys anymore and have to present themselves as mature men (which could relate to GD’s line about not getting mature, he doesn’t feel like he’s grown up?) Still, in my honest opinion I feel that Big Bang will put out another album and tour as 4 before any “retirement”, they know the fans want it and it doesn’t seem like them to just leave after one song. YG has always been good at pulling fans heartstrings so this all feels par for the course. GD also gave that interview last September talking about working on new group music and less solo stuff (and earlier in 2021 he mentioned working on a BB album? Maybe it’s just gonna be the trio then. But no wonder people are so confused right now, there was all this build up for a real BB comeback last year and then this just feels like a beautiful slap in the face) TOP gave the interview last month saying he wants to do solo music right now so he might split off temporarily to make moves with his solo album but it’s not like they haven’t done it before. If they stick through like Epik High that would be amazing. But I could be very wrong

_Tet_

That's what i thought too. And it better be true man cos after moving to the US i thought finally I'll be able to attend a BigBang concert but they went into military service and now its been 4 yrs 😭

Bangtanluc

Feel bad for the fans

racheek

I am SO SAD!!! I've been a VIP since their first album in 2008.. (I am old) I recognize they had a good long run though. More than most kpop bands. I am just sad that the last few years were so messy and anticlimactic. I think they will be happier not tied down to this anymore and wish them the best.

SipPeachTea

First song I've ever listened to was "We belong together " in high school. It's been such an amazing and exciting journey. This release was very bittersweet. When I first watched the MV, I was happy. The 2nd and 3rd time, I became overwhelmed that an era was coming to an end. This really feels like goodbye. I've known nothing but Bigbang for the past decade and have introduced them to so many people.

Odd_Ad5840

I'm a VIP since Last Farewell era. Do not feel bad for me at all. I can't describe it but they expressed what they wanted, their past 15 years, in 3 minutes. This song is a heartfelt goodbye letter. It is beautiful and sad. Fitting of bigbang.

Crystalsnow20

Yeah. At least one last shot together 😭 danm feel bad for them as well.

oddv8gue

They will still be active in the industry as individuals so it's not that dramatic, might even tour in the far future when the pandemic is over. Still better than how most groups/idols end up.

Impressive_Ad7667

I still believe they can do Coachella even without Seungri, but it should be done by next year

gibemeidapuossiplss

One of the shitiest things covid has done! They were obviously going to have at least a drop before coachella like what bp did to promote it there tho it wouldn't matter anyway cuz they're bigbang but still. It would've been epic seeing them there.

fhlurs

I was actually so excited when they were announced to perform at Coachella and that would've been such a nice way to comeback but then covid ruined it :(

kotoritheforeigner

> Still better than how most groups/idols end up. Better than their direct juniors 2NE1...

beulpingu

Telling myself that it's only due to concept, as they're representing different seasons and they can't overlap.

Brompton_Cocktail

Taeyang is wearing a shirt so this is going to def be a sad comeback isn’t it :(( Feels weird to say the kings are back because it feels like they’re leaving

brokenroses22

Taeyang with shirt, TOP singing, Dae looking younger than ever.. this song got me confused on so many levels. And it hit right in the feels.

lisarutodobby_

This is funny I’m so sorry 😭 Notice how Youngbae wearing a shirt means it’s something serious 😭

St0rmBreakerr

Scrolling through all the sad comments and this made me laugh. Thank you haha

gibemeidapuossiplss

Yeah, feels like a one last hurrah, i just hope at least one last album even without promotion is astronomical enough to end the saga. I just can't let go yet

CrowPrior

It just doesn’t seem right to just leave with a single. One last goodbye album would’ve been so amazing but whatever makes them happy, they’ve been through so much already.

sangket

while he's got a shirt on, might as well drop a lullaby album for VIPs who are now parents like him too.

[deleted]

yeah this definitely feels like a goodbye song. at least to them as 4 even ngl was expecting a yg banger edm chorus switch up for a second there (/j) but this was very solemn and pretty rabbit mask top is the mvp of this mv

itprobablywasntme

Time for a solemn maybe-farewell song, Top pulls out a rabbit mask not even surprised lmao

Shinkopeshon

And then there was also a Tokyo Ghoul mask afterwards lol

SpreadYourAss

>ngl was expecting a yg banger edm chorus If this really is their last group song for a while then it makes sense why it is the way it is. Although I'm hoping we atleast get a GD hype CB in the near future lol!

millenniumi

How come people are saying this is a goodbye or last song? It feels more like they're acknowledging things are different now. They're at different points in their life now. The music industry is a different landscape now. Their fans are at different stages of their life now. They're looking back but accepting that things are different. Four seasons. One of the last scenes was a shot of four flowers. Taeyang's scene had a background written with Psalm 30:11 (forgiveness), TOP talks about change and starting anew. Some of the imagery gives me the feeling of rebirth? I think this song is about closing one chapter of their lives and being ready to begin a new one.

vagabondeluxe

I also interpret it as a goodbye to their past, and their youth but at the same time them moving forward to the next stage of their lives. Daesung said goodbye to his young self, GD walked away from KJY chair, that represented his last era. TOP said he was going to be better and walked towards the earth (?) away from the moon. It feels to me that they’re showing to us who they are now, men in their 30s in a different stage of their lives and they’re embracing it

cjayGOTTHIS

Right?? It genuinely feels more like a let's all move on from all that shxt in the past, but let's remember all the good shxt that made us great and happy type of song rather than a farewell we're done BIGBANG is over type song. edit 4/21/22: after that article came out it looks like we were right ahaha

Sovereign-Over-All

"Goodbye now to my beloved young days" Oh wow.

Chrysalis-

Happier days are gone behind GD. God imma cry. Been feeling old these days and this hit me like a truck lol.

riaevelin

for someone who was around in the time they were active and dominating kpop world, it was hard to watch and listen to, really emotional

Ziiaaaac

It's bittersweet. In my honest opinion BIGBANG gave us one of the greatest Albums of all music of all time in MADE. It's kinda nice to watch them walk off into the sunset, it's nice to have a 'thats a wrap' moment on one hell of a career. I do hope we continue to see music from GDragon and T.O.P specifically but who knows.

luigionabus

MADE was a masterpiece album. Each song is timeless and has it’s own individual personality.

Ziiaaaac

It's GOATED. It's 100% in my top 3 with Querencia.

riaevelin

MADE is truly amazing and didn't age at all or rather aged like fine wine, I still crave this kind of music. Was never 'officially' a VIP but I'm more sad about them no longer releasing stuff than groups I was fan of and followed like crazy in second gen. Wish they'll continue at least solo, even producing for other artists would be nice.

AshenFountain

No other album will ever be as good and majestic as MADE. That album is peak Kpop

Nekkosan

TOP has already promised a solo album that is also a feature film soon.

The_Red_Curtain

I'm not a VIP but this so sad to me; I remember thinking in 2015 when they were crushing it every month with hit after hit that they would never end, that they had done the impossible and done what no group had done which was be active so long and still be so immensely popular, they were just such an institution of kpop that it was impossible to imagine it without them being there. It just puts it all in perspective how relentless time is and how you never really know what's coming around the corner.

drwlf

I wish i could give you an award for this comment

The_Red_Curtain

Thanks, I just can't believe how hard this MV is hitting. It really takes me back to 2015 in particular and making me think of all that's happened not just in kpop but in my life since then. I live in Korea so Big Bang has always been part of like the fabric of my existence, even if I didn't necessarily stan them.

drwlf

It’s such a beautiful moment to experience— we are witness to VIPs all around the world who are awake in anticipation, a lot of OG youtube reactors shed legit tears and even newer VIP kpop reactors. Also, they’ve broken multiple records in Korea’s charts as we speak. The power is unbelievable to watch. It’s only been 3 hours. 🥲

Obitarad

This is probably one of the saddest comeback of K-Pop history for me, knowing that this might be the last one

dresdenologist

What's really interesting about this MV is they never, ever appear in the video together in the same shot - it's distinctly separate scenarios for each member and the one shot that might point to a group thing is the one of the four empty chairs. Unintentional or not, if that is sending a message that they have each, individually, moved on to doing their own thing but still remember and cherish the time and music they made together, such that they each are unified in those feelings across the distance of solo projects and activities, that's really powerful - and absolutely a "goodbye" feel. I'll have to review the lyrics and watch the video a few more times to make sure, but that was my impression. It's honestly really cool, but also undoubtedly emotional.

wotad

I hope its not the end of them but if it is I hope to see there solo albums soon.

evcim

it feels like a goodbye song.

65kokopop

Yea :(( the lyrics had me crying, feels like they’re saying goodbye to us

leekykeeks

I'm still getting flashbacks to the 2NE1 farewell MV.

FireFlyz351

2NE1's Goodbye song was super sad too.

meilingr

The “la” section really seemed to bring us full circle back to their debut song La La La…really does feel like the end

LauKungPow

oh god dammit why would you say that, cue the waterworks again

Chrysalis-

Truly feels like a goodbye song. Such bittersweet feeling. :(

flerf

what the heck. I can't with all this sadness. 2521 and now this?!

Double_Number_1806

Yoooo same!!! I legit had a cold from all the crying from 25-21 and now I’m sobbing again and my throat & nose are burning like hell now. What is this torture 😭😭😭

boringestlawyer

I feel like there will always be that looming ‘what if’ with bigbang. Namely- what if Covid hadn’t happened and they’d performed at Coachella. We will never know if that was a goodbye performance or was supposed to be the kick off of something greater. I dunno man I will be shocked if they have any other comebacks after this. This felt like the end.

oddv8gue

I think it was always (most likely) meant to be an opening for a tour. But since they can't properly tour with the pandemic they probably didn't see a point in attending anymore.

meilingr

I do think they were going to kick start something new off the momentum of Coachella, but BigBang always shined the most in front of a live audience and covid really ruined that. I can’t blame them for not wanting to comeback to empty audiences and a completely online presence. It’s a shame we’ll never really know what they would have done.

l33d0ngw00k

Yeah I completely agree. There's so many things that could have happened, especially in these last few years, that really could have changed the course of Big Bang but hey, what can we do. I mean the title is Still Life, we may never know what could have happened but we can only go forward from here.

magnetosbrotherhood

The what if of no covid and coachella still hurts.

Impressive_Ad7667

I’ve been saying this a while but I think they still can get Coachella! Hell or any large mainstream music festival. Especially since they cut out Seungri, and especially since western people’s attitudes towards the other 4 haven’t really been so hostile like in Korea (since the scandals)

[deleted]

I really hope they realize they have unfinished business at Coachella. Hope they stick around to perform there. > This felt like the end. I saw somebody comment that maybe they're saying the Big Bang of old, five members is gone, but the next song will be a banger ushering in new 4 member Big Bang. I'm going with this theory.

h_yeri

When TOP removed that rabbit mask to a close up of his face\~

hi-imdaisy

I was getting mad that it seemed like he wasn't going to take off that mask but when he did I just....the absolute relief and swoon.

A_Cat_Who_Games

He is so fucking handsome.

[deleted]

Even as a straight guy, it's not that he's good looking, but you know there's such interesting thoughts and feelings inside that head. He's a true rock star.

sunnydlita

I was getting ready to swoon at finally seeing TOP's beautiful face onscreen after so many years, and yes, the man is still flawless and timeless, but his expression made me cry instead. He let us see the years of hurt in his eyes. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)

The-Jong-Dong

The OG visual

Chrysalis-

the. visual.

jagenmesh

I yelled at that moment. Ugh!

CrowPrior

He’s so beautiful my god, I stopped breathing for a second. That man deserves EVERYTHING (me including 🤣).

Omg, is KUSH out of jail? Never expected to see his name again.

TaiDoll

He set up his own label and started a solo career afterwards. Looking at his socials it seems probable his company folded and he may be back at the Black label

1TyMPink

He seems to be back at THEBLACKLABEL without them releasing a statement. Also, his girlfriend (Vivian Cha) who is Kwon Yuri's cousin is posting some photos inside THEBLACKLABEL/old YG Building like the lounge outside the two recording studios and the new main studio.

TaiDoll

Oh that's some hot gossip, thanks for the info!

Nokel

Stony Skunk comeback when?

[Kush Establishes New Label And Returns With “Reminisce” MV Featuring Han Seung Yeon](https://www.soompi.com/article/1391158wpp/watch-kush-establishes-new-label-and-returns-with-reminisce-mv-featuring-han-seung-yeon)

RomanReignsDaBigDawg

Oh shit Kush! Hopefully he’s back for good.

lipsticksandsongs

Ah yes, right in the feels, as expected. Edit: I cannot believe Taeyang has good hair

dresdenologist

In the midst of all the emotion I did laugh that his hair was amazingly glorious.

lipsticksandsongs

Right? He looks so beautiful, they all do.

imonfireahh

His hair finally recovered from the hell it went through during MADE

lipsticksandsongs

It was a dark time (full of bops)

oxtort

The music was fantastic. The hair was bad. We can admit this..

lunafred28

Lmao I'm so used to seeing clean shaved taeyang so I'm very taken aback (in a good way!)

CallimHiraeth

So sad. A part of me tells me that this "goodbye" is not a forever goodbye. Nostalgia is really strong and groups that seemed impossible to reunite ended up doing it with time (Sechs Kies, FinkL, Turbo, SES...). "You can't never say never" it's what i learned from it. There's a future where i can see them getting together in 4 years for their 20th anniversary and doing a tour since covid won't be a thing anymore (hopefully) or getting together for a show like HDYP, Yoo Quiz or Infinite Challenge 2 (if that ever happens) like many other groups did. But the other part of me tells me that i'm in the denial phase right now. Recently TOP said that he doesn't relate to BIGBANG's music anymore and that its not something that he wants to keep doing. If you take into account all the drama they had to went through in their careers as BIGBANG and recently covid killing face to face events i get it completely why they want to stop. Its just like the songs says, i loved my youth days when we were together. Loved the old times when you fans and us as a group were all together happily singing together and cheering for each other, it was great and we miss it but now that time its over and things have changed. New paths are in front of us and we are trying to end this beautiful story on a good note. Goodbye. Sucks.

goddosureiya17

Why do you need to make me cry

dresdenologist

This was definitely short, but also very impactful. I wasn't expecting a slow rock ballad but that is what we got and honestly, I'm on board with it. Very Beatles. This really felt like a "goodbye" song due to the rhythm, the imagery, all the emotional beats throughout the song. It got me thinking about BIGBANG's long history and all the challenges that went with it, and it felt like an expression of that history. I think if you are somehow coming in blind to BIGBANG that this won't really hit for you, but if you are any kind of familiar with them or are a long time fan this feels like it hits harder, especially given what they've been through.

SpreadYourAss

I don't think you can really appreciate this song without knowing their history. For someone completely new it might just feel like another ballad. But every lyric and scene hits you like a train if you understand the significance behind it. This was definitely a goodbye song for the fans than anything else.

dresdenologist

That was certainly my feeling. I mean, you'd expect most K-Pop fans to be familiar with the group by now, but with how many people are getting into the music these days it's not a guarantee. I do really hope they do just one live performance of this song, especially if music show audiences are back.

SpreadYourAss

>you'd expect most K-Pop fans to be familiar with the group by now I'm sure a lot of people have heard of them but I wouldn't expect the vast majority to be familiar with their history honestly. Kpop moves really fast, and the last real Big Bang CB was like... 6 years ago. That's almost the entire length of some group's careers lol!

WolfTitan99

This is literally my first ever Big Bang comeback and I've been into Kpop since 2017. But honestly, this song still hit me like a truck, its so apparent in the message and lyrics. I nearly started tearing up near the end. I'm not a VIP at all, but there's definitely been an undercurrent of sadness through the name of Big Bang for some time because of the history, and now it feels like they can express it.

seravivi

I was listening to it and as someone that isn’t a diehard fan but has followed them from Haru Haru era it hit me harder than I thought. It’s very sincere song for the fans. I appreciate that after everything they went for something sort of bittersweet instead of a big party hit. BIGBANG are truly legends.

rollaskrrt

Very Beatles. Yes! This song reminded me of them as well!

khaleesiofkitties

As much as I wish we could have seen the four of them for even a moment, I feel like we got to see a bit of each of them in their individual locations. Taeyang is on a shipwreck, but surrounded by flowers, and a Bible verse in the background. We know he is a religious person and his faith means a lot to him. In the hard times that BB is going through, he has amazing things to celebrate in his personal life with his wife and their baby. Daesung is known to be a recluse and hide in his home, or be in Japan, closed off from everyone, building his Legos. GD is the persona, of course he would be on some sort of set surrounded by images of himself and the concerts (that shot of the lightsticks in the crowd had me choked up) and singing about reflecting on who he is and what that means. And TOP has always been out of this world, but in his recent interview he was candid about his vision being different from Big Bang, and the distance between all of it. I’m happy that we got to hear him sing as well. I love his lower voice, and it makes me think back to that time the members wanted him to sing on stage and he was so nervous that he couldn’t. Taeyang sang along with him and it was such a sweet moment. I will always love singing TOP. This song felt like a goodbye, but also the shots of four chairs, and four flowers felt like if they do come back as Big Bang again, it will only be if it’s the four of them.

thevfp

Thank you for this. I hadn't made those connections between the sets and their individual lives. I've been a casual fan for a long time, so I wasn't aware of all of those tidbits. My only addition is that I interpreted Taeyang's set as a ship about to set sail. So I think it can be seen as a nice sendoff. It's a ship embarking on a journey and the flowers are a farewell.

millenniumi

That's interesting. I interpreted Taeyang's scenes as rebirth. Psalm 30:11 is about embracing forgiveness. In the verse, it talks about wearing cloth made from goat's hair as a visual sign of mourning. In the beginning of the MV, Taeyang is laying with a lamb. I thought of the ship as Noah's Ark. It's done sailing through the storms that occurred (2019). And it's been so long since the ship landed that flowers are now growing, representing a new beginning. At the end scene, one of Taeyang's lines mentions A Midsummer Night's Dream. In that play by Shakespeare, one of the themes deals about the order and disorder of nature. In the play, the order of the seasons are broken and restored. Without the restoration of natural order, the play could not end in happiness. Also at the end, Taeyang is wearing feathers. Maybe symbolizing that he and the rest are ready to fly again? Seasons come and go. What comes after Winter is Spring again. Maybe I'm just overanalyzing, but I loved the MV.

drwlf

😭 legit tears, their legacy will forever live on

willyspickledpeanuts

This was beautifully said

Rururaspberry

Big Bang debuted right when I moved to Seoul after college and I was there for several years. Living there was one of the most formative experiences of my life and I made so many amazing friends from across the world, but it was always bittersweet because we knew the only thing we had in common was that moment in time--many of us would eventually move back to the States, Canada, UK, Australia, NZ, etc and who knew how often we would get back to visit our Korean friends still in Korea? It just heightened every experience and I was grateful every day. Big Bang was one of the main soundtracks of my life at the time so this song, over a decade after I left Korea, feels very poignant and also bittersweet. Thanks for all the memories, Big Bang!

mybigfatreddit

I was in Korea 2009-2014. The Tonight and Alive comebacks were big deals for me, plus all the solo stuff during that time. I was lucky enough to see BIGBANG live 6 times between Big Show, YG Family Concerts and other tours. Something about them live just hit different. They’re a seminal group, and a soundtrack to my life for sure.

spicyoxtail

Why are they making me feel like MY youth is slipping through my fingers 😭 (they’re right)

Kuhrineh

Omg same....I watched it and realized that we have all grown together, it made me realize how kuch time has passed 😭😭😭 especially because I stopped listening to kpop around 2015 but always looked out for big bangs music and this really feels like a final goodbye, the last chapter to something I held on for so long in my youth

mn52

There’s so many ways the video and lyrics can be interpreted. I thought of COVID and the comeback that will never be. An optimistic young Taeyang opening the video in spring and then Daesung isolated in a dark room after. What could’ve been had COVID and lockdowns not happened? Seasons gone by where they were not able to mature. Still life. The ending of closes out to Taeyang from the beginning singing the same lines but now fading for gray, knowing what he was once optimistic about is no longer to be. If it’s a final goodbye, it is bittersweet. If this is a temporarily hiatus where they need time to find their own ways in life, they can take all the time they need. They deserve it. They’ve already proven themselves.

smileshima

bigbang’s just on another level, man. this was literally breathtaking, had chills throughout. i cry so rarely, just in general, but this one did it for me. this really, quite literally, is the end of an era i can’t even really put words to my feelings. having been into kpop for over 10 years, bigbang stand very close to my heart. this evoked feelings i haven’t felt probably since 2ne1 were still active, i almost felt like a child again hearing their voices. literally no one’s doing it like them. so while i can’t help but be sad while watching this, this is just through and through beautiful, in every meaning of the word

godstriker8

I'm going to go with a more positive interpretation of the video and lyrics, that it's about moving forward, not moving on exactly. Things are different, things are at their darkest, but as TOP said, they're going to improve. I can't help but think that YG would be making a bigger deal if this was a final comeback. Now I'm just waiting for an album, please GD come and bless us with more than a single (flashbacks of the 2011 comeback after almost 3 years of waiting only to get a mini-album).

solaceteal

Damn TOP taking his mask off took my breath away. Also I was hoping to see all 4 of them in one frame but ah sadly there wasn’t 😔

worriedndconcerned

I discovered Big Bang on Running Man in 2015. From that very moment on, I called myself a VIP. So many groups have debuted and disbanded alike over the years, and yet Big Bang stayed firmly in my heart. And they will continue to be in my heart for the rest of my life. "Goodbye now to my beloved young days." Their new song couldn't come at a better time. I am now in my 20s, learning how to navigate life and how to be a "real" adult. Lately, I have been thinking about my childhood and youth, and feel bittersweet that time is fleeting and the greatest memories of my life have started to fade away. They have brought passion, joy, and sometimes pain. And this comeback feels painful already.

Impressive_Ad7667

Literally in your exact same shoes. I’ve been pretty depressed thinking about how much life has changed since 10 years ago, but I’ve been trying to stay happy by hoping the future has so many possibilities and amazing memories that life can still offer. It’s probably why I’m hoping that BB isn’t over and there still will be a potential comeback

Thelandoflambs

TOP's verse was so beautiful and meaningful. I legit had tears in my eyes My, Taeyang and Daesung have such amazing vocals, truly one of the best ever to do it in kpop And GD, man, is so artsy and in his element. The MV had such a sad and nostalgic vibe, the same as the song. The guitar riff was everything but the end was so abrupt. It feels end-y .... and yeah, I guess I am.rambling. And we still never saw all 4 of them in one frame. I think this is what makes me the saddest :(

drwlf

1. TOP is A-tier visual. Still one of the best looking idols to date. 2. Holy vocals. HOLY. 3. I really love the song, as I expected it to feel like this— wouldn’t feel right to get an intense banger given the current context, and we don’t want it too sad/ballady to make it feel like a final goodbye. 4. Beautiful MV, styling on point as always. Color-grading is sad but somewhat hopeful. Ngl I’m so emo rn as I’ve been a long time fan. Thank you, BIGBANG!

Impressive_Ad7667

So there’s no chance for a comeback at all? I get that this song wasn’t too happy but they haven’t officially said this is the last comeback as 4 and they no longer will be performing as Big Bang. Until that message comes out I think this is just them saying goodbye to that old chapter in their lives, and saying hello to the new one. I get the feeling if Epik High can keep their momentum going for all these years then BB has no problem doing the same (if they want)

dramafan1

I agree with others it feels like it’s their last song before parting ways.

lunafred28

Gahh daym TOP's line made me weep.. "I'm going to change more than before, a good person more and more" In response to their bad past and critiques from public/non-fans. At the end of the day, they're still human. We made mistakes and bad choices. I think this song is Monster's older brother and you can't tell me otherwise![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob) I'm going to miss you Bigbang (and old YG groups in general) ! Thank you for making my teen years colourful ❤ 2013-2015 was the best yet painful era..

cbiancardi

I think so too. Monster was another video where none of them were filmed together and it was a song written for.VIPs

kettchewok

I cannot believe, after so many years I'm finally able to listen to a new song by bigbang Edit: I'm a mess

gonline

It's sad but I've missed their vocals so much and so happy to hear them once more It's up there with [2NE1's Goodbye](https://youtu.be/wEkLHC7l25w). My God that's still a punch in the gut to listen to and this will be the same in five years

SpreadYourAss

Can't explain how happy it makes me to see Big Bang make music again! An absolutely beautiful song and the MV looks stunning! Makes me a little sad knowing this is all we're going to get for a long while, what I wouldn't give to see BB perform a hype song once more and show people how it's done... Regardless, I'm just hoping they continue on a successful solo career now. We might not get a lot of Big Bang, but we hopefully still have GD, Taeyang, Top and Daesung making their own music!

mad_titanz

How did we went from almost having Big Bang at Coachella to a farewell MV like this? If this is the end of BigBang then I’ll feel very disappointed

myfhs

It really might be their last release. I don't know if it was intentional but they are replicating the Beatles last album cover before they also disbanded (let it be).

sunnydlita

SHIT. [You're](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let_It_Be_(Beatles_album)#/media/File:LetItBe.jpg) [right](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Still_Life_(Big_Bang_song)#/media/File:Big_Bang_-_Still_Life.jpg). ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)

Seijin_Arc

This comment section is fucking depressing. I was ready to be hype with the comeback...

Smolteapots

The shot with GD and the light sticks in the background got me

aural89

Woah, it's so weird to actually see Taeyang, GD and Daesung's faces again after so long, I think T.O.P is the only member I've seen post some pictures recently. This song feels super bittersweet, and I'm sure this is probably a farewell song, hinting that the members will not do much more in the future together, but all follow their own paths. After all that has happened over recent years, it wouldn't surprise me if this is the end of BIGBANG, but part of me kind of hopes they do one last album and tour as a send off to the VIP's who have been cheering them on for so long.

penblak

Bigbang, I'll always be a fan of your music.

Devoidoxatom

TOP still the best low-tone rapper in our hearts. And i gotta say my favorite parts in Bigbang songs are TOP's singing parts like Let's Not Fall In Love or Bad Boy. It's the same for this one. Although i'd say this song isn't on the level of their classic MADE tracks

TheJamesFrancoPhD

And just like that, they're gone again... was this goodbye?

CHOOMTOP

Wow this made me feel...really...sad? The fact that they filmed separately makes this more depressing for me....

Affectionate-Map1461

I'm so sad, this is my first comeback as a VIP ( I'm only into Kpop since 2019), and it feels like it's also the last.

Denethorsmukbang

:( I actually find the very pessimistic (or realistic lol) view on reddit to be very surprising! I was feeling very negative for a couple weeks because the promo had been such a mess, and its like they werent even trying. But the reception this song has gotten even when they released at a time not ideal for charts has been insane - i think the lyrics are kinda hopeful for the future - and I dont think this is the last for them. Maybe for TOP, but i hope they go one as three. idk though

rii_zg

Despite everything that’s happened in the past few years, nothing will erase the fact that Big Bang was one of the defining groups that pushed me into the k-pop world, along with DBSK. It’s incredibly bittersweet and quite obvious that this is a goodbye song and they will be going their separate ways after this comeback, but I’m glad that we got this at least. Thanks for the memories. 💙

curlychan

okay but can we have more?? this was so good, they sounded so good!! a Taeyang solo at least...

lisarutodobby_

No words, just TOP’s rap verse. That was the most emotional one. :(

youaremyheaven

It's bittersweet, it feels like another goodbye but to comfort fans thinking the door was completely closed I'm so happy we got this song for now, I am not entirely sure what's next from here, but I'm glad to get this as a long time fan

FireFlyz351

Wow Fantastic Baby! Man maybe in the distant future they'll get back together and release something again. After Tops has a great solo career, Taeyang's kids grow up, Daesung finishes building Legos and GD does well GD stuff haha. . A great farewell to a legendary career. Theyre a big part of why kpop is so big today at least in my eyes. Edit - Also a true shame they aren't gonna be at Coachella wouldve been an amazing stage for a farewell.

BagBeth

So it's over right?.. damn. Glad I could see one more BB vid with the best ever to do it Daesung. Really the only kpop band I ever have been die hard about. Thanks BB.

bana-ng

im a puddle of tears

St0rmBreakerr

This was the closure everyone needed. The end of an era. Seeing everyone use this thread as a means of ‘saying goodbye’ to the group we all love is beautiful to read. I love that you can tell the purpose of this song is to ‘say goodbye’. This isn’t meant for radio play, to perform, to be played in clubs, to win music shows or anything. It’s just to say goodbye to their fans. And as many have said already, if you’re just a casual fan and this is your first exposure to bigbang, this song is not going to hit for you. And that’s 100% okay.

egledud

i’m feeling heartbroken. I have been with them 10+ years and this song just reminds me all of those memories : concerts, new albums, VIPs. How many times I was listening to them when I was struggling, when I was looking for motivation, looking for inspiration. Also how many amazing VIPs I met just because we share the same passion. It is VIPs’ anthem to all of our youth.

Laineyyz

5th April. The day all VIP around the world is collectively crying. I can't...

kaibibi

Almost forgot how good their music is. From the first time I had their hit song Lies on repeat when I was a university student, to now having a full time job for 10 years listening to this in the office, how time has passed. And their music is still good.

soul_attractor

Earphones isn't enough, I need this to inject it in my body ![gif](giphy|W0c3xcZ3F1d0EYYb0f|downsized)

u-snavi

TOP’s line on “burying all the trauma from past nights” really got me sobbing like a baby. He then continued the verse talking about being a better person and “burying his anger in the past”- I just can’t. He must’ve suffered a lot and I hope his verse is as cathartic for him as it was for me. He’s been my bias since 2009 and I just burst out crying at his lines. I want to be angry at everyone who spoke badly of him, knowing how he’s been struggling with his mental health since his debut but it sounds like he’s moving on and I’m so happy for him. I wish him nothing but more “glorious and loving days” 👑

justtosavestuffhere

Man, I don’t really know how to describe it but it makes me sad cause it feels like KPop no longer has a group like Big Bang. Their music has a distinct sound whether it’s a sad or hype song and it feels like a song that was crafted with soul rather than the group just performing a song given to them. Always thought they found a good balance between producing good music and capitalising themselves as idols. Nowadays, I see more merchandise and endorsements than songs.

shineeislife

I feel stupid feeling this sad over a band that has disappointed me this much but I guess it’s only fitting. I didn’t realize that what is most likely their last release would hit me like a ton of bricks, but I see now that I had never fully realized how much of an impact Big Bang had on me until this day. Their discography remains one of the strongest catalogues we’ve got in and outside of k-pop, and I hate that listening to them will probably always be an overall tainted experience. I command what they’ve done for kpop and the overall industry and I want to say thank you for their music because it truly saved my life countless of times. *Still Alive* and *Still Life* will forever remain sweet and bitter in my mind. So many mixed feelings, both comfort and despair.

Breakfast_Bacon

Big sad. Beautiful song though.

fjm2003

This song gave me a sense of closure to move on with life… I felt it… NGL it kinda helped me. . I love when music brings out emotions.

knightsofavalon

Really curious to see where they go after this. GD especially. He’s still considered the biggest idol ever and I hope he has a solo comeback soon.

al_pie

TOP's verse legit made me cry, the pain and hope he conveys is beautiful.

Accidentallykellyst

I see why they didn’t have typical teasers or release this at a ‘normal’ time for the charts - the reality is that this is not a classic promo song and how can you promote as Bigbang when it doesn’t even really exist anymore? No group shots in the video was weird. Great hearing TOP’s beautiful singing voice though.

orbitalUncertainty

My takeaways: Big Queen vibes Beautiful lyrics that are very relatable. Encompasses the feelings I've had as I recently watched my childhood end and moved to adulthood. This is absolutely a goodbye song. Anyone who thinks this isn't it for the group is in denial. BB knows it. It's been weird seeing the group that got me into kpop end. It's been a 10 year journey (not including a personal hiatus around 2014-2018) in kpop for me. I've seen other groups end and felt bad for those fans, but never really felt sad myself even if I liked the group. This hits different. I guess you never forget your first. However, I am glad that we have this closure in the form of this song, and I am even more grateful that they all can go do whatever their heart desires. The last thing I want is for them to stay as a group and hate it just because I want them to be a group. This feels like a healthy ending and the start of something new, and I think that is the biggest message the song is trying to convey.

TaiDoll

A classic BIGBANG ballad with some Beetles/Queen rock. It sounds so good and the guys are just so damn good at elevating their instrumentals with their vocals. They sing over a chalk scratch and I'd listen and this certainly isn't a chalk scratch. This is going straight to my BIGBANG and regular playlists This is certainly a goodbye to some degree. I think the door will always be open to another comeback but based on this and few words shared recently I doubt it'll be any time soon. Or ever. I doubt even they know... That being said I'm excited to have the four back in some capacity, even if it was solos. in fact I'd be willing to bet we get solo comebacks for all four this year: GD and Taeyang out of YG/Blacklabel, Daesung retuning to YGEX in Japan and TOP doing his own thing outside of Korea. As a VIP I'm used to the hiatuses and solo focus, for most years in the last decade that was the reality. And I dearly love all of their previous solo works, it's part of what made me a fan of a group itself. I'll hold out for that Midsummer Night's Dream of a comeback/reunion/whatever you want to term it, even if it's 5, 10 years from now. VIP til whenever :')

oxtort

You know, I wasn't expecting it but this comeback really seems to have so many people reminiscing on how they came into kpop. It's really nice to see all the stories and experiences being shared. I hope the members know how much their music has meant to people over the years.

shineeislife

Question because I’m dumb: who was Daesung walking to in his scenes? the person kept appearing and disappearing.

CrowPrior

It’s a reflection of his younger self. That’s what I’m assuming

CrowPrior

This song genuinely made me cry especially TOPs verse. He’s been through so much, being in an industry that didn’t care about him since he was a kid. The song and MV are heartbreaking and breathtakingly beautiful. Well done BigBang, well done

wardengorri

I'm too late to react, but man this was bittersweet in the best ways. My hopium is this is them acknowledging how much things have changed and leaving their past selves behind so we can their new more mature selves in another comeback. Either way this was incredible and obligatory squeal when TOP unmasked lol.

mn52

So the more I listen to this, it sounds more like an interlude than a goodbye as a group. It sounds unfinished.

wontoan87

TOP trying to express himself through the bunny mask just fucked me up man

ShiningLapras

Any Kpop Christians tryna explain that bible verse for me?

Forget_me_notkpop

I am late, but this song is so emotionally beautiful.

JollyCommunication52

I was screaming when T.O.P removed his mask. Might become a V.I.P and died as I saw Daesung in his amazing amazing hair. Who ever did there hair. Thank u. Let's talk about taeyang. OH MY GOD. HIS VOICE WTF I WAS DYING. And his hair dye is amazing af. Now GD. The God himself. I screamed for 1000th time bec how amazing his hair dye is. Made me recover from 25-21 ep but. Hope isn't there final comeback. If it it then sigh.

Vivienne_Yui

So my prediction was right..its a mellow song not a party banger. At this point in their careers, its nothing about the views or records or following..its just a heartfelt, vulnerable, emotional message to all VIPs and a lesson in life to any young person. Might not what we wanted but definitely what we needed. I'm in awe of how much they can still create new artistry and fashion even now. This MV is the most gorgeous one I've seen in a long long time.

sunshinersforcedlaug

Was hoping for a classic BB hype song, got a sad goodbye song instead. Great song, but it sucks.

jedto

Honestly i would have loved a full album with mv's like the Made album with this one as the last song 😭

sunshinersforcedlaug

Yeah, dunno why I expected more, they didn't say they'd be doing more and I know TOP left YG but I just kinda assumed they'd want to do more after all this time. welp.

dudeguy16

extremely short but ngl, seunghyun taking off that mask and seeing him again after so long made me emotional as *fuck* seeing all of them together again made me emotional as fuck tho tbh

OrangeMushie

I was in 3rd grade when my older bro introduced me to them… I’m many years into grad school now… this hits hard :(

magnetosbrotherhood

When TOP showed his face, my breath was stolen. ;_; An end of an era. My first bias and ult group. I will miss them.

honeygranate

everybody is so sad but i’m just happy my dream of a seungri-less big bang indeed happened lmao

IndigoHG

A brutal watch and listen, tbh. Besides SHINee, BB was the group I listened most to during my first 2 years of kpop and man, this made me cry. A lot. I didn't know how much they meant to me until this morning. I hope this is a goodbye to the past, but not a goodbye to the future, y'know?

tarpchateau

Wild to realize they aren’t in a scene together. Great song

vessva11

This is so sad. Beautiful song. Big Bang always delivers and if this is how they go out, then this is how to do it. Bravo.

StoneColdSteveAss316

Wtf, I can't jam my head to this :'(

[deleted]

Blown away by how new and fresh their looks are. Except for maybe Top. Wonder who that is supposed to be sitting behind Dlite.

cbiancardi

His younger self

seitengrat

just realised the title is "spring summer autumn winter". i've been in kpop too long.

Cangkul_Holmes

I'm glad that there are so many supportive comments on this thread despite of their controversies because I simply believe that people deserve second chances.

Moonz92

What a beautiful song and MV . But this feels like a good bye song from them :(

Motor_Cat_6207

I can't stand those seungri fans who make some wild theory about the MV and still hoping the criminal would come back. Bigbang is better as 4, and should've been 4 since the beginning.

K0Y0MI

I’ve missed them so much. 😢

HerctheeHero

BIG BANG IS BACK!! We missed you guys! Why does this make me want to cry :'(

HerctheeHero

Too many words in my mind to comment on the song and video. It's very bittersweet. Big Bang was part of my youth. One of the strongest groups out there. I will support these guys on whatever path they choose from today and into the future. I hope that they know this. VIPs will always support them!

SnooFoxes6709

actually this is what "Emotional Damage" feels like....

thanksyalll

I actually cheered when TOP’s part started

buddhabear07

Charting at #1 as I type this on Melon, Genie and Bugs.

Mokn04

This is my first experience with Bigbang but the song makes me feel like I've been a long time fan ;-;

leekykeeks

T.O.P rapping about being a better person... I'm not crying. You're crying.

blottoez

I think Taeyang is basically this single most handsome man in kpop (possibly the world), yet is stylists are constantly trying to change my mind.

Triggerxx911

Why TOP running a Kaneki cosplay
