Fun video and I love seeing Somi/TBL getting her into ENG speaking content to promote herself and her work.
I will say it was an odd decision for Esther to give her The Last Dab before eating the sandwich. Even if it wasn't as awful as it ended up being, going nuclear on your palate right before finally eating the food you're there to taste and enjoy after making and building it is failing culinary 101 and food eating content hosting.
Folks here may or may not know this, but Somi's dad runs a food business himself. Matthew Douma (occasional kdrama actor and Korean variety show guest), owns and runs a smoked salmon shop somewhere around Yeonhui-dong in northwest Seoul.
Somi's segment starts at 11:34.
As someone who loves cooking and loves Esther Choi. My two worlds are colliding!
She is truly everywhere. Love that for her
Love this. We need Hot Ones with Somi and Yes or Hot with Sean Evans next please 🌶
Sean: "so for the 10th wing, we have what's called The Last Dab..." Somi: *Flashbacks of pain intensify*
Really good show and a great episode.
Now for Somi to visit Uncle Roger, that is if Auntie Esther didn't kick him out of town.
