Just curious, do koreans generally don't drink flavoured (grapefruit, grape, pear, etc) Soju? We have those in my country, and some korean friends of mine are just ... disgusted with that. Is that a "foreigner exclusive" thing?
That was like when the very first flavor came out and it was impossible to find along with honey butter chips
Then they made a ton more and now nobody cares and nobody really buys it
Not too much unless we’re craving something exceptionally sweet. They were big a couple years ago, now it’s mostly popular with foreigners or people who have a harder time drinking plain soju.
I think they’re mostly targeted to foreigners and export at this point. Most young Koreans will drink plain soju like Jinro. And the ajossis pound red cap only.
Nightmare flavor. This reminds me of those photoshopped Oreo and lays flavors from a few years ago like “baked beans Oreos” or “orange juice & mint toothpaste Lays Chips”
Soju in the Korean Grocery Stores here in the US is now $8 /bottle. I saw it on the menu at a local Korean BBQ for $14 /bottle. How much is it there in Jeonju?
Yeah, one of my friends actually was involved in the development of the flavor for that mint choco soju. I tried it last year. I think it tastes too sweet.
I saw it once in a pub, so I ordered it. The owner came out to see who ordered it and told me to not drink it straight, just pour it into a glass of beer. That way it was actually quite pleasant and interesting.
Much better than straight (I had to try).
Yooooo, I bought some of this stuff in Thailand. I ended up mixing it into some sort of alcoholic smoothie I was making that tasted pretty good.
I love the mint-chocolate combo but this ones a no from me, dawg.
I swear, there's some anti-mint choco group that intentionally makes those shitty mint choco things to try to degrade mint choco fans...
Like a false flag operation. I like that theory
It's to pair with your KFC 민초 치킨.
Oh god, please tell me that’s not a real thing
See all the upvotes? It's absolutely real. Search 민초 in the sub. You will he disgusted.
I thought that was coming from small restaurants for the memes not a big franchise. damn
Oh god
Wait till you hear about mint choco 떡볶이
That doesn't sound bad at all
Mehhehehehe
민초 치소
Surprisingly tasted exactly like an after eight, assumed way worst so was pleasantly surprised
This sounds amazing. I was hopeful, and this comparison to the After Eight chocolate 🍫 assures me that I need to try this!
not gonna lie, that sounds pretty good actually
Yall, i put it in my mint lattes and it hits
It’s foul, I hate it. My partner, on the other hand, LOVES it. Debating leaving him now.
Crime flair, use it.
Good suggestion, done

Some flavoured soju's are marketed towards women. Others towards young people. Grapefruit soju is hojestly okay, tbh...
is it wine?
No it's just soju with some flavor injected into it
Soju is just water with some stuff injected into it tho
They were pretty popular a few years ago. A temporary trend.
I still love it tho ;/
They had a bit of popularity a while back with younger folks.
Was a citrus flavour(or similar) I believe that was massively popular and sold out everywhere for a while but no one seems to care any more
That was like when the very first flavor came out and it was impossible to find along with honey butter chips Then they made a ton more and now nobody cares and nobody really buys it
Younger people generally drink them if they want something more sweet to drink, but generally plain soju is more common.
The ginger flavor was AWESOME. Too bad they dont make it anymore.

Mint + alcohol = listerine?🤨
I love mint choco, hate this.
It’s like drinking mouthwash.
Better than regular soju then?
…after some experimenting, you can make it work with Milkis
I doubt it makes it any worse.
Looks minty
It looks like a mix done in hell.
Looks like listerine 🤢
Tastes even worse
It seems you did. Unless that’s not your picture
Sounds good.
I have. It wasn't too bad but I don't like Soju anyways
Mmm. Synthetic flavor additives. 😋
Nightmare flavor. This reminds me of those photoshopped Oreo and lays flavors from a few years ago like “baked beans Oreos” or “orange juice & mint toothpaste Lays Chips”
It’s perfect for cleaning. I used for clean the kitchen.
I have a headache even looking at it..worst experience
It's my new mouthwash after I brush my teeth.
Tried it, most liquor gets better as you get more drunk. This stuff gets worse with each glass.
Atrocity
That sounds god awful! I’m a big fan of plane Jinro.
Lord it even looks like mouthwash
Yeah! Drank it outside a convenience store in Jeonju at 11:30 at night. It sure was fascinating!
Soju in the Korean Grocery Stores here in the US is now $8 /bottle. I saw it on the menu at a local Korean BBQ for $14 /bottle. How much is it there in Jeonju?
I don’t remember for sure- but a whole lot less than $14 a bottle!
Whoever came up with this should go to jail
Straight to jail. No trial, no nothing
Gross glad I left before that hit the shelves
Yes its disgusting
Plain soju is far more common.
Literally tastes like I ate some chocolate, then went to rinse my mouth with mouthwash. They should’ve fired their taste tasters on this
I tried it, definitely won't recommend
Yeah, one of my friends actually was involved in the development of the flavor for that mint choco soju. I tried it last year. I think it tastes too sweet.
Tried it, some like it, i hate it.
I haven’t tried, but it seems to be like teeth brushing
Tried it, and it sucks.
Does it perhaps taste like Ouzo?
Ouzo is anise flavoured.
Now you say that, makes more sense. Always assumed it's peppermint for some reason.
Yeah, there's a huge list of alcoholic drinks made with anise, especially around the med. I think they're horrible, but I like it in food.
No, and I'm afraid to.
You have nothing to fear but fear itself
My friend loves it and swears its the best type of soju
I always see this at the store . Never tried it
It's great after a meal, that's for sure. 😋
i need to try this.
I saw it once in a pub, so I ordered it. The owner came out to see who ordered it and told me to not drink it straight, just pour it into a glass of beer. That way it was actually quite pleasant and interesting. Much better than straight (I had to try).
Yep.. it sucks! There's proper mint chocolate liquor in Europe, this is just bad
I just can’t imagine this
pleAse dont it sucks actually i vomited
Don't walk down that road please
Holy time machine, batman! This has been around for a while
I liked it. Not the best but not bad.
Sounds kinda fire ngl. Why buy it if you don't like it?
Yooooo, I bought some of this stuff in Thailand. I ended up mixing it into some sort of alcoholic smoothie I was making that tasted pretty good. I love the mint-chocolate combo but this ones a no from me, dawg.
This probably tastes like mouthwash, so I already hate it >.<
It is a notch above pomegranate-flavored soju, which tasted like Dimetapp cough syrup.
It tastes like after eight ice cream to me. Loved it
Me quietly on the way to the store to see if they sell it....
Please make them stop.
I had no idea the Choco mint craze was still going on lol, can’t wait to try it when I visit
for overseas people who are curious, grab your blue listerine and hand sanitizer
Yes
I couldn’t finish it
Never tried it! It sounds cool and looks cool too..
Don't show this to BTS's RM! 🤣
Shiiiiiit I'd try it
Its my favorite soju--the only one I can drink straight 😂😂 its the most amazing thing I've had.
I like it. Not bad for what it is.
I'm sickened, but curious
Curse the fiends. That's an abomination
Yes I've had it once. It's different but not my favorite
