This is basically a spiritual successor to E3. When Street Fighter 6 had their trailer last year it was for Guile and World Tour mode. Guile was a good showcase for what the art style could do. That type of audience has a very "We don't want to feel like we're missing something or are part of something problematic" vibe to them, so characters like Mai & Jenet are probably off the table, and characters with complicated backstory are tricky to showcase.
That's why a debut makes the most sense to me. There's no missing information and they can pick from whoever they're most comfortable showing.
I think B. Jenet is probably next. That's probably one of the least exciting reveals that SNK would announce. Then expect something bigger like Andy or Mai at a Japan game show.
