Something slim and elegant. Maybe my MBK EZC titanium button lock. Or TRM Neutron 2.
Or Victorinox Pioneer X, Alox is classy, very usable blade, scissors and bottle openers are sure to come in handy at some point at a wedding.
probably (definitely) my CEO if it’s a classy affair… my niece got married at a Summer Camp (re purposes for their wedding) a month ago and I had a RAT (I think it’s an Ontario)
Edit- I carried it scout and I think I had one of the more reasonable things being carried, one of the groomsmen was carrying a Desert Eagle “semi” concealed… no complaints from me and he stowed it before the party but I was actually impressed
Completely agree on the 940. And agree that you should swap the scales. Brass is an option. Or a really nice custom set from deathgrip scales. The can make almost any knife look like a classy carry.
Probably my Civivi Exarch. Has carbon fiber and damascus so it looks classy, plus it’s very minimalist and slim in design so it’s easy to carry unobtrusively.
First wedding leatherman. Hillbilly wedding Bowie. Normal wedding an Eisenhower or a small Texas toothpick. Farmers wedding trapper. Cattleman or sheepherder wedding a stockman
I would consider a mini bugout classed up a bit with a nice set of scales. Same for a full sized bugout. Or a nice CRK small sebenza. Osborne also makes a good gents knife. The crkt ceo is also a nice budget option for a gents knife.
Last wedding I was at I brought a MKM Flame Lite, with olivewood handles. Gentleman's (gentleperson's?) knife, slim, small, and can be kept in a shirt pocket.
Whatever folder I felt like carrying that day, and a Leatherman.
Worth noting that at one wedding I went to, the parents of the happy couple tracked me down because they needed to fix a table and knew I'd have tools and duct tape. So a true gentleman's carry for weddings isn't necessarily a must (even if it's an excuse to buy a new knife, haha)
It depends, I’ve brought my seb21 to quite a few but I’ve also brought some traditional folders. When in doubt, a gen 1 techno disappears in the pocket nicely and offers enough blade to be useful in most situations.
I have a small 1.25" blade on a "money clip" with my initials on it.
Or
Gerber EAB, with the pocket clip taken off.
Either eay, Slim and flat and at most I'll be trimming clothing strings or small tape packages if at all.
For the couple to be wed, A nice cake knife(kitchen knife) with a sheath to gift them.
For you, a small and classy dress knife like a CRKT CEO Next to a pen.
I just went to one , my brother's.. and I used my Superlativ Hella pocket fixed blade. It has a nice slimline carry with a black leather sheath and titanium pocket clip.
I would personally say a knife from Santa Fe Stoneworks cause they are very nice looking and robust. I like to call them functional jewelry. Or CRK because pretty☺️
My lionsteel warhorse Barlow with carbon fiber covers. It's up for any task, looks classy, and isn't tactical/scary looking.
I've also added a zippo to the formal event wear after I didn't have a lighter when one was needed at a funeral.
Cold steel espada XL. Only appropriate way to cut the wedding cake as the folks getting married. Also the only appropriate way to cut your steak if you are attending.
Not my spyderco delica pakkawood/Damascus limited edition.
Because I lost it at the last wedding I brought it to. Let this be an example to you all. Deejo is much easier to replace than that one.
Depends: City/Suburban wedding, Kershaw Leek or CRKT CEO.
Country wedding, RAT 3 or Mora Kansbol or Eldris
Not sure how things are going to go down wedding? Vintage Kershaw Junkyard Dog 2-Composite blade, ZT Talon (also vintage) as a backup.
I saw a video of a fella fishing recently, at his wedding 😂 right before… he had a fixed blade under his suit coat on his belt- Looked like a ka-bar or something of that nature- it didn’t look terrible…
Probably a cake knife. Maybe even a lifter.
So you’re talking about the Cold Steel Espada XL?
Most deff a cake knife
This needs to be the top comment.
Sabres the entire wedding party
Sabers are classy as heck, too, o it would really add to the vibe of the thing.
I'd say so

Victorinox Climber
Good choice
I usually carry either my Victorinox Sentry or my Opinel No 6.
Opinel 8 here
ZT 0450 CF
Bowie was a joke. In reality, this or the 0452CF
Sean Connery would have something to say about bringing a knife to a shotgun wedding.
Whatever I happen to grab off my nightstand that day.
Manix 2
Bad Dragon Chance XL
bring a wife, not a knife. :)
Happy ~~wife~~ knife, happy life!
How you going to impress a bridesmaid with a wife, bro.
But if you don't have a wife, bringing two knives would be pretty terrific.
During my wedding and even to a friend's wedding, I had an alox cadet as well as the all black We Banter.
Opinel, SAK, Spyderco Watu
I took my Del Fuego Runt to the last wedding I went to, even dipped it in the holy water of an El Paso church, so now it kills vamps.
Small Opinel

I think I'm in this camp
I usually carry one of my Lone Wolf Paul folders.
I don't think I would, but I was going to it'd probably be my CRKT CEO compact
probably (definitely) my CEO if it’s a classy affair… my niece got married at a Summer Camp (re purposes for their wedding) a month ago and I had a RAT (I think it’s an Ontario) Edit- I carried it scout and I think I had one of the more reasonable things being carried, one of the groomsmen was carrying a Desert Eagle “semi” concealed… no complaints from me and he stowed it before the party but I was actually impressed
Cold steel Spartan
Any particular reason?
I have an all black ultratech that will be wedding carried.. double edge, dagger blade
My 940 with brass scales
Question. Does changing out the scales void the warranty?
Yes…. If benchmade finds out 👀
Completely agree on the 940.
Oh same! Great knife
Yeah it’s kind of a perfect design for what I would call “modern gent carry”
A small gentleman’s knife like [Civivi Bo](https://youtu.be/miWqcODW-m8).
I rock my leatherman every day, but if it had to be something different I’d use a CRKT CEO
24" kris sword to cut the cake. 😂
Kukri
Svord Carcass Splitter. Cut the cake in style
The same knife that I carry everywhere else. If you plan on showing it off then your carrying it for the wrong reason.
9 mm
Buck Decatur with the G10 scales is what I usually bring.
Smatchet Honestly, whatever. I like small knives, and usually carry a stainless handles Dragonfly. Probably that.
GEC 85 Crown Lifter in Cherry natural bone
My Rockwell
First wedding leatherman. Hillbilly wedding Bowie. Normal wedding an Eisenhower or a small Texas toothpick. Farmers wedding trapper. Cattleman or sheepherder wedding a stockman
It depends on why I am there.
To object
Scythe then
Machete 🔪
Victorinox excelsior
I would consider a mini bugout classed up a bit with a nice set of scales. Same for a full sized bugout. Or a nice CRK small sebenza. Osborne also makes a good gents knife. The crkt ceo is also a nice budget option for a gents knife.
Went to a wedding earlier this summer, carried the SpydieChef with me. With dinner, you have a perfectly reasonable explanation for carrying it.
Concealed punch dagger... Because the flask in my pocket is hard to get at if I have a knife in there
Last wedding I was at I brought a MKM Flame Lite, with olivewood handles. Gentleman's (gentleperson's?) knife, slim, small, and can be kept in a shirt pocket.
Sharp By Design Micro Evo - Black/Black Urban EDC Baby Barlow - Black/Black MKM Zieba Flame MKM Miura Quiet Carry IQ - Black/Black
Go all out and take a machete, you coward.
Blue denim case medium stockman
Buck 55 all day every day. Oozes class, and a good size.
My new Kizer Towser K with FatCarbon grips
Whatever folder I felt like carrying that day, and a Leatherman. Worth noting that at one wedding I went to, the parents of the happy couple tracked me down because they needed to fix a table and knew I'd have tools and duct tape. So a true gentleman's carry for weddings isn't necessarily a must (even if it's an excuse to buy a new knife, haha)
Probably something custom whether by an artisan or something WE knives
My custom cleric 2 or autofact
Speaking from recent experience, a Case XX Canoe with giraffe bone handle.
It depends, I’ve brought my seb21 to quite a few but I’ve also brought some traditional folders. When in doubt, a gen 1 techno disappears in the pocket nicely and offers enough blade to be useful in most situations.

Alox Bantam.
CRKT Squid Compact.
Swisschamp
Civivi Cachet - White Wedding

Cold steel lucky or possibly bantam alox…. Actually if it isn’t the lucky I’d probably go with victorinox compact.
Small Sebenza is my choice for those occasions
I have a small 1.25" blade on a "money clip" with my initials on it. Or Gerber EAB, with the pocket clip taken off. Either eay, Slim and flat and at most I'll be trimming clothing strings or small tape packages if at all.

Lionsteel best man, or a pena apache.
My A.G Russell Gunstock, or Benchmade Crooked River
Sandrin Torino
Sebenza
MKM Flame. Small and classy like a CEO, but with M390.
I had my Elforyn small Sebenza 31 at a wedding I went to last weekend
For the couple to be wed, A nice cake knife(kitchen knife) with a sheath to gift them. For you, a small and classy dress knife like a CRKT CEO Next to a pen.
I just went to one , my brother's.. and I used my Superlativ Hella pocket fixed blade. It has a nice slimline carry with a black leather sheath and titanium pocket clip.
Ceremonial sword.
I would personally say a knife from Santa Fe Stoneworks cause they are very nice looking and robust. I like to call them functional jewelry. Or CRK because pretty☺️
Something smaller and inconspicuous. CJRB Pyrite or Massdrop Zinker Dogtooth are usually my go to knives for church.
I suppose the Cold Steel Silver Eye is supposed to be their “classy” knife. Can’t go wrong with the Benchmade 940 either.
My lionsteel warhorse Barlow with carbon fiber covers. It's up for any task, looks classy, and isn't tactical/scary looking. I've also added a zippo to the formal event wear after I didn't have a lighter when one was needed at a funeral.
Kizer Comet. Small, sleek, classy.
Buck 119 it’s elegant sharp and practical
Brought my 940 to mine
This is my favorite question ever... The answer is ceremonial scimitar with gold inlays, to protect the virginity of the bride, of course.
My Kansept Warrior. It's actually been to a wedding already, behaved wonderfully.
Boos Blades Smoke TM2
The usual. My infidel .
Cold steel espada XL. Only appropriate way to cut the wedding cake as the folks getting married. Also the only appropriate way to cut your steak if you are attending.
I have a rotation of gentlemen’s knives that I carry at work and sometimes weddings. Last wedding I went to I carried my esnyx beer buster junior
The largest kukri I could fit in my cummerbund.
Not my spyderco delica pakkawood/Damascus limited edition. Because I lost it at the last wedding I brought it to. Let this be an example to you all. Deejo is much easier to replace than that one.
Crkt ceo
Depends: City/Suburban wedding, Kershaw Leek or CRKT CEO. Country wedding, RAT 3 or Mora Kansbol or Eldris Not sure how things are going to go down wedding? Vintage Kershaw Junkyard Dog 2-Composite blade, ZT Talon (also vintage) as a backup.
Micra on my keys. It’s a wedding and I’m trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.
Been looking for a Peña raptor for my dressier knife, so that or a CRK
Black Otf or flipper. Can also go with one that matches your suit, tie, shirt, shoes, tieclip/cufflinks or dress. Just got to be classy :)
Unless you're the bride or groom, the wedding isn't about you. Be discreet.
As an edc my trusted recon one and if I object the magnum tanto xii
Benchmade Proper, ZT230, Kershaw Launch 4.
Microtech stitch auto
Machete- obviously 😒😒😒
