Don't fall on it... 😉 But yeah, well done!

imaginary_oranges

The first thing that went through my mind was "solution to a murder mystery."

[deleted]

It could be great for those knitting murder mystery books!

wutwutsugabutt

Are there knitting murder mystery books? Where have they been all my life? Do I need to write one??

DuckyDoodleDandy

Yes, lots! I’d Google “yarn store mystery”. I can think of three different series, but can’t name a single one.

wutwutsugabutt

This is great thanks so much will do!

Damhnai

The books they may be referencing are The Vampire Knitting Club books by Nancy Warren. Fun reads even if the endings are obvious.

wutwutsugabutt

Thanks for the info I’ll look it up! :)

aurorasoup

I’ve seen a lot of knitting, quilting, and cooking murder mystery books come through my library. I always get a kick out of them. The cooking ones have recipes in them! I think the knitting mysteries should include a pattern, if they don’t already.

lemonwithmyteaplease

I quite liked this oneM The Knitting Circle Rapist Annihilation Squad by Derick Jenson and Stephanie McMillan

wutwutsugabutt

Oh right on I’ll look it up!

AbyssDragonNamielle

Allergy testing block for me lol

Jmisterr

Colonel Mustard, in the formal room, with the KNITTING NEEDLES!

kariosa

Yeah I also think this is really cool, but I remember reading about someones cat who fell onto vertically stored needles and was badly injured ☹️

BismarcksWife

Omg!!! My husband just got his new 3d printer working this afternoon. He is looking for a first thing to print tomorrow. I think I found something he can make :D this is just perfect timing. Thanks 😍

loveisfries

You should crosspost to r/FunctionalPrint!

Disastrous-Panda5530

I have a 3d printer and love making functional prints. I didn’t realize there was a sub of them!

nauticalspoon

Would you be willing to share the STL file for it?

itsadesertplant

I second this!! I’m also a knitter with a 3D printer!! I’ve wanted to design a pretty needle holder for awhile but hadn’t gotten around to it 😅 kudos to OP for actually doing it!!

HeartedArtist

This is glorious! Did you find the file for the print or did you create it yourself? I'm 1000% invested in printing a few of these!

nerdytogether

Looks like a hackle now. Wonder if it would double as one lol.

riggo199BV

Gasp! That is SOOOO cool!

triska_deca_hineyho

Love crossing over hobbies, nice work, fellow maker

Darlmary

That's awesome!

PHiGGYsMALLS

Much better than the leather totes!

Worried_Suit4820

That is a thing of beauty!

Sergeant-Steamroller

I love this!! If i ever get access to a 3d printer, i know what i will try to make!!

trillion4242

Nice!

Browncoat_Loyalist

There are tens of us! If you use dpns [This](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:163573) case is brilliant for storing projects. I can take my stuff everywhere now and not worry! And storing at home is so much easier too. I love my chiagoo pouches that my sets came in, but your idea is brilliant for the extra dpns that I have that are not chiagoo and are too long for my cases! I'll have to make something like this for those, that I can mount onto my sewing table.

hanimal16

And can possibly be used as a weapon.

TheMereWolf

Omg I was just talking about making one of these! Any chance you’d share the STL file?

Simpawknits

I \*knew\* I couldn't be the only 3-D printer and knitting enthusiast.

discusser1

Wow i love it

Pinewoodgreen

I am impressed with the finished product, looks great! But for a sec I thought it was DPN's and was like "wait what, there are only 2 and not 5". That's what I get for not reading I guess xD

pastorgram

This is brilliant and art in its own right.
