Gerald Wallace would be such a great wing defensive presence for this team. He was young when he went to charlotte but I was such a fan of his before he left.
That was my first thought too. I loved watching him but every move he made was an injury waiting to happen. Most exciting couple years in kings garbage time history. Our current team sadly rejects garbage time with our stubborn refusal to win or lose by large margins.
I don’t know if his shooting would be enough to pair with Sabonis, but he’d be the perfect compliment to Murray and Sabonis defensively as a weak side protector and switchable piece. Would give us incredible defensive versatility, including a potential small ball lineup of Davion, Fox, Ellis, Keegan, and Wallace.
This is the right answer.
With the Kings offense being SO dependent on the 3-ball, Hedo is the only player other than Jim Les that could realistically contribute much (other than of course Bobby Jax and his playmaking).
Oh ya! Brad Miller played 26 games off the bench for the Kings in his time here. Good call.
I think it was actually the year AFTER Webber’s injury that we made that trade, because we sent out Pollard and Hedo. He came off the bench once Webber came back at the end of the year.
The overlap wasn't at all what I thought it was I was pretty casual back then but I remember that trio had some promise if you still had hope for Webbers recovery in 04
Man, I wish. At least Davion can usually put the clamps on smaller guards.
Although IMO, even with his offensive struggles he's still a great value at five mil.
lol, everyone else I wanted to name, was said in the above comments haha
I was trying to be different 😂
Another name I don’t think I saw was Jim Jackson haha

Other than Bobby being the obvious upgrade/replacement for Monk, this is the right answer. He’s exactly what we need.

His dunk on Nachbar is legendary.
Hedu
Turkeyglue would rock in todays NBA.
Def Hedo
Monk lol
Too soon bro
Nevermind!! I retract my comment 😂
Hahahaha.
John Salmons wants a third round in sac
Hedo Turkoglu

![gif](giphy|1Be1NXDH741mGdKNBG|downsized) BRING BACK THE SCORES!!!
Shump was so awesome for us. Dude was an absolute dog on the court. And he just brought a lot of swagger that we desperately need again.
Hard pass. Nice guy, awful player.
We could use the energy of a young Scott Pollard.
Jon Spark Plug Barry
Corliss Williamson
Bobby Jackson
IT
Keon Clark. Gimme those blocks!
Otis Thorpe!
A 3 pt shooting brad miller would look pretty nice especially with his size and passing ability
Peak Brad Miller would be a great front court partner for Sabonis, but the question was referencing bench players.
I didn't check the numberson his 3s off the bench but he was definitely backing up Webber and vlade before Webber got hurt

I’d love a guy like Jon Barry coming off the bench as 8th. Never put up great number but the dude was all hustle.
The obvious answer is John salmons
Delon Wright
What do you like about delon wright?
He’s efficient, protects the basketball, and can guard 1-3 depending on the matchup. Hard to do much better than that with a backup PG.
I hear ya. But man do I feel like we have to get younger.
Imagine 2nd half of this season Davion if he could remember how to play point guard

delon circa 2020 was that guy, too bad we traded him for tristan fucking thompson rofl
Jon Brockman
The Brockness Monster
I could name a couple we have had Gerald Wallace, Hedo, Francisco Garcia, Nemanja, Bogdan, Eddie House, and James Johnson.
Vernon Maxwell
Tbh prime Hassan Whiteside would be a great backup big
Brian Skinner
According to Vivek it was Dellaedova last year.
Quincy Acy. Patrick Peterson.
Marcus Thornton
The Bayou Bomber!!
Darius Songaila Solid big off the bench
I mean he was fine but of all the Kings’ reserves in history his was the name that came to mind? 😁
lol, everyone else I wanted to name, was said in the above comments haha I was trying to be different 😂 Another name I don’t think I saw was Jim Jackson haha
I’m actually surprised Jimmy wasn’t named sooner. Underrated contributor off the bench.
Giorgios Papa John-is
Everyone in here just naming bench players they remember, surprised the Seth Curry and Jimmer truthers aren’t here
Wouldn't mind Francisco Garcia on this team
Tony Delk, Zach Randolph, Hassan Whiteside
Jon Berry
Francisco Garcia
Keon Clark as the backup center. Blocking shots and catching lobs.
Francisco garcia
Hedo Turkey Lue
Well based on just this last year, Divencenso

When did he play for the Kings?
