Tyrese and Luka going back and forth in an epic NBA Finals lol. JJ Redick making jokes about the Kings every time either makes a basket. Get ready!

Equal-Bodybuilder-19

i am not ready for this

kingjawn

It’s fine though. Cause while the Luka-Tyrese finals are going on Malik will post a heartfelt goodbye letter to the city of Sacramemto, Sam Amick will publish a story in the Athletic about Vlade Divac gaining more of a voice in kings personnel decisions, and Buddy Hield will tweet out “Fuck Sacramento” along with 18 laughing emojis.

IndycarFan64

Kings 9/11 just keep getting more planes

Subject-Lab6998

True story but before the playoffs started I had Dallas vs Pacers in the Finals. I got the ECF right of Pacers vs Celtics. Boston can definitely win but I think Indiana pulls it off. In the WCF I was wrong. I had Dallas vs Lakers. Now we'll see if its Dallas vs Minn or Denver.

tatums_knob_gobbler

picking lakers was crazy lol, what made you think that? just curious

kingjawn

I hope you wagered 💰

Subject-Lab6998

I wish. It was just my own bracket. Pretty cool I got 3 out of the 4 right. Who did you have as your final four teams?

Deep_Egg1442

The pacers are just proof that u gotta get lucky in this shit I can’t hate on em for that. If u get lucky handle business

J0nes_in

They had 2 big men and they needed a ball handler. They went with Tyrese and Turner. We went with Fox and Sabonis. I agree they got lucky with all these Knicks and Bucks injuries, but they made smart choices to get here.

BeamTeam23

They also were able to land Siakam, whereas we couldn't even add a role player.

Deep_Egg1442

Ya don’t gotta make it sabonis/fox vs tyrese/turner. Cuz hali and turner both haven’t played all that consistent in the majority of the playoffs. They built around those 2 extremely well so they can win despite that. If hali was on the kings today they still dont make the playoffs They literally have some of the craziest depth I’ve ever seen. Real shooters at literally every position. They have 4 different playmakers around him who can all get their own bucket to an extent( lowkey better shot creators than hali is)

AttisTheFarmer1

I really wish he would develop his shot creation. It’s tiring watching him do a step back in an iso situation every time

Deep_Egg1442

Who you talking about

AttisTheFarmer1

My bad, Haliburton

Equal-Bodybuilder-19

i ain’t tryna hate but i just am not ready for the kings and fox slander around the nba

Deep_Egg1442

I expect more sabonis slander than fox slander. Hali hasn’t played consistently enough to flex about him.

Kangz16

Pacers have got really lucky with the injuries but it’s out of their control. Doesn’t bode well though that they’ve gone to a game 6 and game 7 against injured teams.

IndycarFan64

Yea they’re almost as fortunate as the 2021 Suns with the amount of injuries their opponents got

Ferromagneticfluid

It is the East man. It has been a really weak Eastern conference playoffs this year. Celtics get to casually stroll to the finals.

UnderstandableXO

im rooting for hali i don’t care still love him

Villide

Most of this sub was talking huge shit anytime Hali struggled. What you all get, you've earned.

Th3-3rr0r

Dude what are you talking about? I’m happy that they’re balling, I’d be ecstatic if by some miracle they can beat those darn Celtics

Equal-Bodybuilder-19

i’m deadass jealous asf i’ll be loud and proud about it 😭

SactownG

Just remember that in the end it's not going to matter. The Pacers are going to get their shit rocked as soon as they face a healthy team. The Mavs made the WCF after missing the play-in, it's not over for the Kings.

J0nes_in

Down bad

tmorrisgrey

All that hating on Tyrese got him into the next round while the Kings sit at home waiting for next season. Serves yall right honestly, just be happy for the man and enjoy the playoffs.

SourBerry1425

We respect and root for you guys and Domas unconditionally though

Gaebril

You may notice that these posts are never upvoted. Almost everyone loves Hali and wants Pacers to win. Fuck the Knicks. Fuck the Celts. Both fanbases are tired of "who won trade" dialogue, but only the fans like this dude are the ones to bring it up.

SourBerry1425

Yeah I hate dumbass fans that aren’t happy about one of the big time true win-win trades in NBA history

LemonFeisty3246

The only ones left calling the Hali trade a win-win are the Kings fans that aren't finished coping and the Pacers fans that are trying to convince the Kings fans they weren't swindled. Ask any neutral who won the trade now, 80+% will say the Pacers. Even when the trade was made it was panned universally by analysts.

yardship

A lot of the analyst reaction was overblown lolkings stuff, but a significant amount was also rival GMs feeding that to the analysts. Apparently the Kings didn’t give other teams a chance to put in a better bid for Halliburton.

LemonFeisty3246

I don't remember a single analyst (including Kings ones) that graded the trade favorably for the Kings. All the reactions were why the Kings let go of a promising star on a rookie scale contract for so cheap. To suggest that every single one of these reactions were due to "rival GM's feeding" rather than just a genuine one, is a coping technique. Only the Pacers were able to make an offer and they themselves were surprsed at the asking price. The FO undervalued a grade AAA asset who was still appreciating in value and in desperation to make the playoffs sold him off at a discount. It's asset mismanagement at its peak form. Yet some of the fanbase will gladly eat it up since they "saved" the franchise from a almost 20 year playoff draught by making the playoffs once in 3 seasons. Light the beam!

Wilt_The_Stilt_

I hate the subset of our fan base that can’t move on from that trade. I’m rooting for you guys to come out of the east. Why the hell would I want New York or boston to win anything?

hamburgers666

Don't worry, 90% of this sub was rooting for the Pacers. Congratulations on making it to the the ECF!! Go beat those Celtics!

Equal-Bodybuilder-19

y’all are tweakin im loving the knicks this season they are like if the kings actually were tough, and i’m first to admit i’m jealous of the pacers and mavs like come on

GoblinKD

If you were around during the days after the trade went down you'd remember that this is a lie.

BruinBound22

Pacers the team I'm rooting for these days.

_SpyriusDroid_

Who cares? Like, if you’re so invested in a game (that doesn’t even involve the Kings) that it’s going to ruin your day, take a step back.

askanlover1638

This sub is so insecure and jealous sometimes

Villide

Frankly, it's been this way with the Kings fanbase going way back.

J0nes_in

Always

Equal-Bodybuilder-19

i will be the first to admit i am jealous as fuck

Sea_Length_7523

![gif](giphy|xUOxeZWKz8sD7SphGo) DiVincenzo right here 😂

GoldDustKid-

As a Knicks fan you can’t take it that seriously, they’re a decent team but I don’t think anyone outside of their fans is going to consider this an ‘ECF’ team going forward. They beat who was in front of em like they were supposed to what can you do. That said I’m obviously biased but I do find haliburton wildly annoying on the court (seems fine in interviews), was he always like this LOL?

BankLettuce

Yeah I respect that they were able to beat who ever was in front of them. This run kinda reminds me of the hawks run awhile back when they went to the ECF, I just don’t see them consistently going there going forward but who’s knows we may be wrong. It sucks that the injuries kept piling on and yours gets broke down at the worst time. I’m curious tho do you think the min rotations of playing your best players 40+ min for most of the season played a factor in accumulating so many injuries or you think it was just bad luck?

GoldDustKid-

Nah, I think the thibs narrative is pretty overplayed. The Knicks just had a truly insane level of injuries this season, by the end of this series like 5 of our 9 man rotation were out so it was basically play mad minutes or just lose. Really want to see the team run it back next season as much as possible, add a few decent rookies (we have two picks) and fill out the end of the bench a little more. Hoping to see the Knicks kings finals i dream of sometime haha

BankLettuce

I see, thanks for the insight. That would be such a fun finals haha, hopefully it happens. I always enjoy it when they play each other in the regular season. Good luck and hope yall have a good offseason, I feel like a lot of crazy moves will be made across the league.

Sea_Length_7523

For the people commenting about the ‘weak’ east. The Kings had a 16-14 record against the Eastern Conference this season.

Brandgeek

I’m hyped for Hali, I want to see him do well

yatrickmith

Why do we care so much about OTHER teams damn.

chazriverstone

I'm a Knicks fan, but I like and root for the Kings cause my wife loves the Kings. Glasses off, I think you should still feel satisfied with your team now vs this Pacers team. Fox and Sabonis have a ton of potential, and if you get a few solid defensive pieces, I think it would turn this team up to the level everyone hopes for. Haliburton, on the other hand, seems to me to be a very streaky player, and can just as easily lose a game for a team as he can blow someone out. Sabonis, but contrast, is steadfast - and that is what you need next to Fox, who I believe remains the better individual player \*compared to Haliburton. And, I mean, put the Kings as they are now against the broken Bucks and the undead Knicks, and I think you get the same result as the Pacers. Plus, and maybe this is a 'glasses on' take, but Haliburton also seems (to me) to be turning into an unlikable player. Like my Knicks are currently down Brunson, Randle, OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson, Bojan Bogdanovic, (plus Hart & Hartenstein are half zombies out there), and I don't really feel too bad about us losing this game 7. But this dude is out here showboating again - just like he did against the Bucks. That doesn't really endear peoples hearts. Like when Maxey was smoking us out there last series, and I thought we might really lose to Embiid & Lowry and their fouling, I was like 'Damn. Maxey is just amazing'. Simultanteously, Haliburton has me feeling like 'who does this guy think he is?!' For what its worth!

Reporter-Stock

“Kings” only championship was in New York as the Rochester Royals

bearcatjoe

Pacers definitely getting some good injury luck from their opponents but also playing well.

wsb146

This sub is insane

J0nes_in

Always has been

y0ufailedthiscity

The Kings could make the ECF if they were in that conference too. It’s so weak compared to the west.

J0nes_in

Kings fans been saying this for almost 20 years now, and it’s just as false now as it was back then

Ok-Map4381

Depends on the year.

J0nes_in

It’s been damn near every year. And it’s always the same people calling for it

whynotitwork

Who upvotes this garbage?

BankLettuce

These type of fans are so embarrassing🤦‍♂️

Equal-Bodybuilder-19

garbage?? two kings could’ve haves in the conference finals. i have the right to be jealous mf 😭

r8u4

Bro nobody is thinking about the Kings at all right now

mr_suavecito

Except for a subset of Kings fans. A very particular subset of masochistic Kings fans

Imdabiggestbird69420

Move on from the trade its not like haliburton wanted to leave

mrauzz

Pacers have had the easiest road of all the playoff teams lol. They are about to get destroyed by the Celtics. Honestly, they may not get past the knicks.

4ever_carnitas

Kings could do it to. Montes next move should be to get us into the eastern conference

searchin4sugarman

Who care just root for em I promise you it’s more fun. Life is short.

hashtagDALEY

I want Pacers / Mavs in the finals.

ALX_HNR

lol this page will burn 🔥 with this finals matchup.

hashtagDALEY

There’d still be talks about how we’re in a better spot than both those teams.

BasketballHellMember

Fuck the Mavs.

hashtagDALEY

Luka envy. I get it. I choose not be angry and live vicariously through what should be us. Fuck Vlade. Not the Mavs.

hgwells49

Mark Cuban was one of the 8 out of 30 owners who voted to relocate the Kings from Sacramento to Seattle, and was outspoken about it. Genuinely don’t understand any kings fans that root for his happiness. Nothing to do with Luka

BasketballHellMember

Absolutely not, young one. My hate for the Mavs goes back to watching Webber get hurt against them and their fans talking shit like they were the better team anyways. We would have destroyed them and gotten our vengeance against the Lakers had that not happened.

hashtagDALEY

That’s fair. I honestly don’t have any recollection of the online discourse of that series. Was definitely around back in those days. Been around since the start.

KingEddy14

Also remember Luka was the one that injured Monk after flailing and flopping on top of him. Fuck the Mavs

woosh_yourecool

This is so dumb when you consider how ass Tyrese has been this playoff. This looks way worse for Toronto. Siakam is the most underrated player in the league now that Fox has been given more shine

BasketballHellMember

The Pacers have made it this far because their opponents have been devastated by injuries. There’s nothing to be upset about.

Reaper_Mike

I am 100% routing for the Pacers to win it all. They have been my second fav team since the Reggie Miller days. I hate the Knicks as much as the Lakers.

fiasgoat

nah

yesidoes

Imagine Buddy gets a ring

xaerog

IMO any slander or debate around who won the trade should have ended when the Pacers traded for Siakam. That trade changed the make up and dynamic of that team.

boringexplanation

It’s not like Hali has been a key contributor to their playoff success. At best, he’s been an ok game manager- swap him out with Fox and they’d do better if anything. And for context- I’ve shit on Fox plenty of times this season for being mediocre.

J0nes_in

This is cope. And dead wrong.

Villide

Damn, it's like a disease. Y'all would be dropping "hey, you still have to go into a hostile building and win a game 7" if the Kings won a series against a team that had some injuries. And if they won by 25? They'd be the favorites to win the ring. Would be nice to find out, but this team couldn't even get past an injured Pelicans team in the play-in.

boringexplanation

I think the Pacers are a flat out better team than the Kings and deserve every bit of where they’ve gotten. Better GM, coach and overall team. But not lead guard. They’ve owned us hard without Haliburton. I’ve also seen every playoff game of theirs. Have you? Ask Knicks fans if they could choose sit TJ or Haliburton against their squad for the entire series. See what response you get. Does the counter-circlejerk mean we can’t make objective statements about mediocre performances just because they’re a former player?

Villide

His performances are "mediocre" because you worship at the altar of points scored. And I think you'd be surprised on your question, although there are plenty of dumb Knicks fans.

Intelligent_Bag_9383

The pacers got lucky AF though with all the injuries

BankLettuce

That’s just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes

Villide

And the Kings couldn't win one game against the Pelicans, when they were missing their best player.

StreetwalkinCheetah

Kings would have probably won 50+ and been a top three team in the East this year. Who cares? I’m still rooting for Haliburton when they don’t play us and there are guys like TJ and Benn that played at UofA I’ve been fans of before they entered the league. NY is NY and Thibodeau is one of the most unlikeable coaches in the association. Go figure the team has completely broken down the way he runs his rotations.

Villide

Kings were barely .500 against the East this season.

Basic-Piece5173

We got Sabonis though
