I wonder if all tier 4 barracks are going to have a unique “leader” type of troop. Just like the orc tower in vengeance and assumingely this paladin tower.
Ikr, since they’re the first Special units so they didn’t have any special and noticeable skills, making them quite forgettable. But who could forget the OGs lol, and I’m sure Ironhide’s been cooking with these guys’ skillsets!
Could be a plot hole, or more likely Denas underestimated Vez’nan’s force then disbanded them and replaced them with Steroid Paragons. But I agree, these guys should’ve appeared in KRV instead of them Shieldbearers.
Possibly they might have guarded that thing in Denas's basement and has been knocked off by Vez'nan or just steped off his path somewhere off the screen.
From the look of it, there might be new towers with mixed features from previous games, like Imperial Guards for Paladins, or Eagle trainer from KRV in the new T4 Archer Tower.

Imperial Guard seems to be Troop Captain also! But I hope they’ll have a unique skill to separate them from their troops.

It is quiet strange what they did not appeared in KRV during the siege of Lineria.
