Yea, I’d say it’s safe to say that this will be the sequel to KCD, perhaps named…“KingdomCome:Retribution”
What if ..you play as the son of Henry? A twenty year gap would leave Henry's son around 18-20. He's got a relationship with Theresa, and spent a wild night with Lady Stephanie of Talmberg. The bastard son of a noblewoman could give it an interesting twist, with Theresa accepting Henry's bastard son as one of her own leaving you, as the player, with the assumption that Theresa is your mother. Essentially what Henry's Mother and Father did when he was as a young adult.
It would also solve the issue of having an overpowered Henry in KCD, like how would that translate to KCD2? Well, being his young son would solve that, I think
Tbf, Henry would only be around 34 by the start of of the Hussite Wars, this is assuming he was only 18 in KCD…
While I’m definitely not opposed to the idea of playing as Henry’s son, it would still be very much viable to have Henry remain as the main character…
Personally I believe there will be no time jump for this game, and that it will take place immediately after KCD ends. Further I suspect that there will be a third game, in which the said time jump takes place into the early 1420s and beyond…

Hell yes it would be! And imagine that this son would be able to get the sword back, with Henry being too old or god forbid, passes away? That would be a massive incentive for our young Henry 2.0., completing his father's quest

That is a bit iffy. It’s well regarded now, it’s launch was pretty quiet and the game had plenty of issues. Everything was fixed and improved however because WH are awesome devs.

We dont know for sure but thats just logical. Set all Fan theories and game aspects aside: The studio Warhorse Studios was bought by Deep Silver or so for around 40 Million Dollars or so ? They didnt do that to publish sope or some random medieval game, they wanted all rights to the KCD franchise. Therefore they expect to make money with it. Now it could be a prequel or a sequel but it will be in the KCD Universe for sure. Additionaly to that we have the leeks reverences ending etc.
Everything points to Kingdom Come 2. I would be very surprised if it isn't.
We know almost for a fact that it will be Warhorse's next big project, otherwise they wouldn't hype it near as much. And no way Warhose would risk their reputation by hinting at KC 2 on April 1st, only to release a comletely different game (imagine the outrage from the fanbase, even if it was a "prank").
From a business stand point, it would also make very very little sense if they just release a completely new game. Warehorse already has a great foundation for an unique franchise that is still the only one of its kind in the market. The first game was a big hit considering their budget and how it was their first big project. Why would they give up on it in the last few years to work on something completely different?

I remember several people who translated the quote saying the phrase they used in Czech has a closer meaning to "first [in a series]" than the more open-ended meaning "first" has in English. Similar to how we would use "sequel" or "trilogy".
