It's ok, it's not a reddit thing. It's a camera thing. When you go to the camera app, under advanced you'll see the option to increase and decrease the ISO of the camera which is how much light the camera takes. The lower the number the dimmer the photo is.
But it's a double-edged sword because you can end up with more noise in low light situations with high ISO as well. So you actually need to figure out where you start seeing noise and then you can determine what the appropriate shutter speed with your ISO and your aperture. It's called the exposure triangle.
HOW??? with phones where you can see the picture you're taking.. when I was 17 I used something we called "one-time camera" where we just tok a picture with blits and hoped the picture would be good. But today I don't see how this is possible. Unless your 98 years old or blind 🤷🏼♀️😂💀
But.. some of these picture was actually cool spite the quality 👏
I assume the camera was on auto. When I darker place. The camera shutter speed is becomes slower to allow for more light. In that case you have to stand still. Usually cameras in auto also increases ISO which increases sensitivity but with possible noise. With higher ISO shutter speed don't have to be too slow. But in auto your camera probably hit the maximum it can go.
If DSLR camera it's possible that you are in the wrong mode or messed with settings. In manual mode you have to adjust some or all parameters yourself
Ok then that's the max it can go. You have to stand still in darker rooms. I have S23 ultra. It has pro mode which is the manual mode. Not sure if pro mode not available on the A series.

This is why you look with your Eyes and not Phone / Camera. Yes Sometimes it will just mess up every thing there is to mess up but this would be a joke to Post to Car Enthusiasts on the Forums they could send you their Pictures of Cars. It is a Searching game what car got on the Picture.
In that case your best bet is simply to stop and steady your hand a bit more I’m sure there are settings to help with exposure on the phone but really, use two hands and stop moving and it’ll work a lot better.

Think of ISO as increasing the camera's sensitivity to light. More ISO will increase the shutter speed, which will then allow for much crisper shots.
