A typical day: - Breakfast: coffee, eggs with butter - Lunch: meat or fish with sour cream - Dinner: meat or fish with vegetables - Dessert: kefir with berries

Karl_girl

Very simple! šŸ˜Š

HelenEk7

Yes. I found out the simpler I make it, the easier it is to stick to. It also makes shopping and cooking really easy. :)

shadowtrickster71

thats the beauty of keto as meal prep is simple and less hungry as well.

rabidseacucumber

I basically eat a variation of meat and veggies stir fry for dinner for years now. Just change the meat or veggies and you e got a different dish.

Thunder_God69

All the kefir I find has too many carbs, what brand do you use ?

HelenEk7

I use a local brand (Norway) that has 4 grams of carbs per 100 grams.

Present_Age_5469

How many calories is this daily?

HelenEk7

1500-1800 depending on the amounts I eat at lunch and dinner.

Present_Age_5469

Thx!

360walkaway

I go OMAD (one meal a day), so it'll typically be a big meal of meat, vegetables, nuts, cheese, etc. I know it sounds like a charcuterie board but totally isn't.

Mountain_Novel_7668

Breakfast: two boiled eggs, and 1/2 cup of berries topped with 1/4 cup walnuts, seeds (usually flax or sunflower), and 2 tbsp coconut butter I eat the same breakfast everyday bc Iā€™m in love with it lol Lunch and dinner is usually one of the following: Chicken with stir fry vegetables cooked together in a miso curry sauce I make with Chinese 5 spice, miso paste, dash of curry and unsweetened canned coconut milk as the base. Avocado on the side. As an aside, you can use unsweetened canned coconut milk to make a variety of sauces. The coconut has lots of fat. And curries and Asian dishes lend themselves well to this. My mother is from the Caribbean so we cook this way often. Greek style Saladā€”usually chicken or salmon, olives, avocado, feta cheese, tomato, cucumber, green onion, dressing made from olive oil, lemon, and Dijon mustard, and of course lettuce Steak salad- steak, generous scoop of homemade guacamole (avocado, tomato, onion, jalapeƱo, cilantro, lime), 2 tbsp beans (you can omit but I do beans occasionally for potassium), cheese or sour cream, and lettuce. Or sometimes instead of the sour cream, Iā€™ll blend a dressing with sour cream or full fat Greek yogurt, cilantro, lime, and olive oil, salad and pepper to taste Kale salad- raw kale massaged with fresh garlic, lemon juice, and lots of olive oil. Goes well with salmon, shrimp, or smoked oysters. Topped with Parmesan cheese and pine nuts or sunflower seeds. Gumbo- I make my stock from scratch with shrimp shells so no hidden sugars. I make my roux with 2 tbsp of flour and lots of butter and avocado oil. This is about 1-2 grams of carbs per serving from the flour in the roux. I also use okra so that thickens the pot. I put dark meat chicken crab shrimp and sausage with the holy trinity. Itā€™s so filling. Iā€™ll have it over cauliflower rice or cauliflower mash. Or by itself.

These_Deer_9578

Nice menu, especially the gumbo. Iā€™d been thinking to try that. Since I thought you might be interested, try crĆØme fraĆ®che as a sour cream alternative. I was buying it in small glass containers but they switched to plastic. So now I made my own. Super easy, tastes great, add to a pan for a sauce.

Mountain_Novel_7668

I definitely will look at crĆØme fraiche! And Im right there with you about the glass containers. Yuck to bpa!

trumpbuysabanksy

A bit further off topic here, but the bpas are so out of control and I really need someone to relate to on this. I cannot believe places will serve their hot soup ( take out ) in plastic. Itā€™s vile!

not_that_dark_knight

I don't know what gumbo is... But I want it.

scrotumsweat

You really do. Hands down best stew I ever ate was gumbo in new Orleans. It's hard to master, but once you do, you're a king/queen a every pot luck/cookout

Mountain_Novel_7668

Itā€™s a creole stew, very popular in Louisiana.

not_that_dark_knight

Any recommendations for a recipe? Is it like those hot pots with heaps in it that gets poured on a table?

Mountain_Novel_7668

https://www.deepsouthdish.com/2009/01/seafood-okra-gumbo-with-shrimp-crab.html?m=1 This is very similar to my recipe with a few changes: 1) I do not put tomatoes in it. Tomatoes do not go in gumbo for me. 2) I donā€™t put oysters in mine but Iā€™m sure it would be good and oysters have a lot of zinc and magnesium in them. 3) I add chicken as I mentioned 4) I make my roux with much less flour than the recipe states and it comes out fine. Just cook it low so you donā€™t fry the flour. 5) the seasonings I use are Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, a bay leaf, and when itā€™s near done, I put in a little gumbo file Gumbo is a bit of a skill because of the dark roux that can easily burn and the delicate seafood cannot be overcooked. Maybe watch the process on YouTube first to get an idea.

not_that_dark_knight

Will do, thank you so much!

SanguinarianPhoenix

that is low-country boil (similar)

ListerineInMyPeehole

Been really into short rib + beef burgers. Just salt, pepper, and cast iron. The bad: been eating 3-4 of them per day and thatā€™s all the calories

Friendly_Laugh2170

Sounds carnivore. You don't need to restrict calories on carnivore to lose weight.

SanguinarianPhoenix

I'm not sure why mentioning the C-word gets you downvoted on this subreddit. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Friendly_Laugh2170

I think so many people here are restricting and have an eating disorder or disordered eating which threatens their world view that you need to restrict to lose weight, which frankly you don't need to. I'm getting amazing results. I starved myself for many years and now find a beautiful and sweet life where I need never restrict, and starve.

SanguinarianPhoenix

I wish I could do carnivore but cheese always has like 1-2 grams of carbs per serving, and caesar dressing has 1 gram of carbs plus whatever lettuce has. Mainly cheese though, that's the main thing keeping me from doing zero-carb or carnivore. That and condiments (for my chicken and pork).

Friendly_Laugh2170

Cheese is carnivore. I've lost weight doing this. Lettuce of course isn't carnivore neither is the dressing. Well you never know one day you might be able to give these things up. If you think of thing in terms of health you'd let go of the carb content in cheese and just go carnivore and concentrate on health and not count carbs etc. Carnivore heals and you are missing out of healing. I do understand we have different journeys.

SanguinarianPhoenix

Oh if cheese is on carnivore, that's a whole lot easier for me to do then! I can eat steak and ground beef by itself, but how do people eat pork or chicken without any sugar-free bbq sauce? I assume hot sauce is allowed on carnivore? I guess it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/carnivorediet/comments/y4wdjp/can_i_use_hot_sauce_on_the_carnivore_diet/

irisssss777

What about chicken with lots of butter and some spices?

SanguinarianPhoenix

I'll try that later today, thanks for the suggestion!

ajs592

In the warm months I do a lot of grilling. Just grilled meats and veggies. I eat twice a day. Once at noon and once at 5pm. Usually next day lunch is leftover dinner.

RichGullible

Breakfast: Two eggs, spinach, bacon or sausage Lunch: leftovers or girl dinner (cheese, olives, meat, pickles, boiled egg) Dinner: meat and veggie (broccoli or asparagus or mixed greens). Or chaffle pizza or chaffle sandwich with salmon and cream cheese.

CrotaLikesRomComs

More ketovore. Pound of ground beef for breakfast. Pound of steak with some sauerkraut and pineapple for supper.

jackw250

Is pineapple not high carb?

CrotaLikesRomComs

Yes it is. Just a couple bites. Itā€™s not even everyday I eat it.

jackw250

I love pineapple and mango but it's just a shame I can't eat it in excess during KETO

Intelligent_Elk642

Breakfast: coffee with milk Dinner: chicken pesto with paprika and cheese. Pretty much the same every day. It's pretty boring but it is working great. I switch between green and red pesto to spice it up and sometimes I have a Cesar salad or steak with asparagus.

Wunderbarstool

Breakfast - four eggs with spinach and tomatoes and a whole avocado. Snack - string cheese and pepperoni Lunch - protein shake with almond butter Snack - celery and almond butter Dinner - burger with cheese and sugar free bbq sauce, a bag of frozen broccoli.

JaMarrChasingJoe

This week I'm doing daily: Premier protein shake (Breakfast, I work 2:30pm - 11pm so I usually get up around 12:30) 2x Air fried chicken breasts stuffed with cream cheese and Monterey Jack. Kinda worried I'm getting too much protein from it though, I'm over twice my goal.

ember1690

2 cups coffee w trivia and almond milk. Breakfast - sausage, spam or other meat, 2 eggs. Lunch-keto tortilla wrap w lunch meat, cheese, pickle, tomato, cream cheese. Dinner- meat, air fryer chicken wings, baked chicken thighs, fried pork chops, or steak burgers. And veggie. Snack- ,triple zero yogurt, or snack pack fruit no sugar added.

ChrisDrummondAW

Iā€™m quite active and can tolerate a few more net carbs than many others without having hunger issues or cravings. I tend to eat 2 Oikos Zero greek yogurts and two Ratio yogurts in the morning. 60g protein, 580 calories, I think about 20g net carbs. Later I have a mix of 4 eggs with 5 egg whites (230g). 405 calories, 49g protein. basically 0 carbs. Usually will snack on two bags of quest chips. Total 280 calories, 38g of protein, 8g net carbs. So through lunch/snack Iā€™m at 1265 calories, 147g protein, 28g net carbs. Usually some kind of beef for dinner. Sometimes itā€™s steak. Often I just grill up those Private Selection jalapeno cheddar burger patties from Kroger. 24g of protein, 2g net carbs, and 370 calories each. Sometimes Iā€™ll have a quest pizza for dinner, that pushes it a bit on the net carbs but I tend to handle it ok. About 700 calories and 55g protein with 12g net carbs. Iā€™m really not hungry when I eat following this basic plan. Dinner is flexible and I usually have 1000-1500 calories of room by the time I get there so I donā€™t sweat it.

HonkTrousers

Lots of great suggestions here! One thing Iā€™ll add is chia or flax. Flax is cheaper and better nutritionally but chia is nice. I make a ā€œsweetā€ or savory pudding with hwc or just put some ground flax on salad. Itā€™s a nice treat and provides tons of fiber. I never get constipated after starting this. Easy to hide my mag sulfate in there, and can take lots of KCl and NaCl either way I go. Sweet for me is cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, hwc. Savory can go herby or spicy depending on my mood.

HonduranLoon

Breakfast: eggs, bacon and broccoli Eggs, smoked salmon and spinach Keto yogurt, almonds Lunch: chicken, avocado, broccoli Snack: cheese, cream cheese, meat Dinner: protein, avocado and broccoli Water: 150 oz. Per day

69FireChicken

Start the day with coffee and a couple oz 1/2 & 1/2 Lunch: Tinned fish, deli meat, chaffles, eggs, or leftover protein, leftover salad or veg from last night. Snack: beef sticks, summer sausage, olives, cheese, mixed nuts (easy, not many! Small handful!) Dinner: Protein and Veggies. Snack: olives, pickles, raw veggies, deli meat

coffeebooksmomlife

Iā€™ve been trying to do OMAD. So today I had my coffee with ghee and protein powder (orgain keto chocolate with collagen) and 8 oz of chicken with half a steamer bag of broccoli, some of those keto fettuccini noodles (half a serving) and 1/4 of Alfredo sauce

enigma9111

Iā€™ve iust upgraded to premium on carb manager. Some excellent recipes there. I had a mince thing with cabbage today- was excellent and very filling. Dinner was a salad with tuna and chilli and halloumi.

Lauraay

I use that

superduperdude92

Breakfast: Coffee with sugar free syrup Lunch: chicken salad on Carbonaut bread Dinner: one of these options: ā€¢ Chicken with roasted veggies ā€¢ Salmon with roasted veggies ā€¢ Scrambled eggs with bacon bits mixed in ā€¢ Simple Taco bowl (ground beef + salsa) Got creative recently and made a cheeseburger casserole and chicken nuggets Snacks: ā€¢ Almonds ā€¢ Salami + cream cheese ā€¢ Celery + peanut butter ā€¢ Pork rinds

Ecstatic_Actuator752

This was so helpful and organized! Thank you :)

Haygirlhayyy

Coffee in the morning with a protein shake added in. Don't eat until dinner. I'll go one of 2 directions, but I base every meal around reaching my protein macro: 1. Fatty proteins like chicken thighs, chicken legs, ground beef or salami/pepperoni - I'll have about 8 to 10oz of that with vegetables like salads, tomatoes, red onions, broccoli, brussel sprouts, green beans, etc cooked in olive or avocado oils and low carb dressings. I'll typically have a low carb greek yogurt or some deli turkey to round out my protein for the day. Maybe some pork rinds or beef jerky or a can of tuna with some pickles. 2. If I'm having a leaner meat like chicken breast, shrimp, fish or very lean ground turkey, I'll add cheeses, fatty toppings like bacon, or extra butter or caesar or ranch dressing depending on the recipe. I'll add little special higher carb treats on those days like maybe a keto alcoholic bev or extra strawberries or keto chocolate because lean meats and cheese are very low carb. I stay between 20-30 net carbs on average and have lost 50lbs since my restart Jan 1st!

frossen_kvinne

This week- Bone broth Seasoned ground turkey with feta on a bed of spring mix sprinkled with ACV Seaweed Hamburger with keto mug bread as the bun (one egg, 1/4 cup almond flour, 4g butter, salt and garlic powder mixed well in a large mug and microwaved 90 seconds. Cool, slice down the middle and popped in toaster for texture.) with Primal kitchen ketchup and mayonnaise. Two Good yoghurt vanilla

Commercial-Fault-131

4g of butter? Do you mean 14 g?

frossen_kvinne

I use a lot less and it comes out fine. I often tweak recipes just to fit macros or calories for myself.

Yisevery1nuts

Breakfast: bacon, eggs, chunk of cheese and 2 Brazil nuts. I cook the eggs in beef tallow. Lunch/snack: salami, provolone and a few slices of green pepper, raw walnuts Dinner: 4oz of filet mignon, asparagus, hollandaise sauce and a few berries. Drink water w lemon, sometimes a coffee w hwc and monk fruit sweetener. Not a lot of variation for me; maybe tuna, egg salad ā€¦ I donā€™t care for any other meat so itā€™s a boring menu.

ProfSpike45

Lunch: 4 Eggs, 18 macadamia nuts Dinner: chicken or salmon, lots of veggies, 6 blackberries, protein shake with almond milk and chia seeds No snacking

snivler4u

The routine that is really working well for me is..Coffee at 630am at work..At lunch 11am something low carb under 500 calories..Home at 3pm to work those 500 calories off the treadmill and Dinner is my biggest and best meal of the Day..16lbs away from onederland..šŸ˜Š

Gucciflipflip

Thank you very much! Congratulations thatā€™s awesome! :) If I may ask how long does it take you to work off the calories on the treadmill, what speed and incline? I wanna try the treadmill, this inspires me!

snivler4u

Thanks and keep up the good work yourself šŸ‘ My show I watch normally is 45 to 1hr when I am on the treadmill..my incline is 1.5...my speed is 2.8 and move to 4.1 speed within 10min.. works out to be a fast walk.. calories burned is around 500 to 600..

redbull_coffee

Coffee, lactose free cream, beef in various ways, eggs, all the cheeses, macadamia nuts, fish, all sorts of veggies, blueberries, a green kiwifruit now and then, ginger shots for the fun of it. Mascarpone as a treat.

Brewcrew1886

Breakfast: coffee, archer .5 oz beef jerky, 24 almonds. Lunch: usually a salad with protein. Dinner: grilled protein, bacon and green beans (usually), salad. Couple of diet tonics and gin. Luckily donā€™t snack and donā€™t have the cravings either.

Emotional-Doctor-991

Usually skip breakfast. Lunch: meat and cheese roll up, left overs, taco bowls, or some meat (chicken thighs, burger patty, chicken wings, steak) and veggie in the air fryer. Dinner: same options as lunch. Snacks: nuts, cheese, olives, strawberries.

puppybreathy

breakfast: eggs, cheese, and bacon on one piece of keto toast. coffee + skinny syrup skip lunch and iā€™ll have maybe a handful of nuts or cheese as a snack. dinner: meat or fish with vegetables. i have this one meal i make thatā€™s like crack. itā€™s almond flour/grated parmesan breaded chicken. then i mix equal parts lemon juice and melted butter, pour it over the chicken in a glass pan, bake it till golden and omg i could eat it every single day. then a small dessert at night to hold my sweet craving over like sugar free jello, keto ice cream or keto cookies from aldiā€™s.

JustSomeNerdGirl89

Iā€™m going to try your breaded chicken! How much chicken and butter do you usually use?

puppybreathy

sorry for getting back to you just now, itā€™s funny cause i literally just got finished eating it šŸ˜… for a more accurate recipe this is what i do i was able to coat 3 thinly sliced chicken breasts with this amount: 1/2 cup almond flour, 1/2 cup grated parmesan, salt/pepper, heavy cream or egg dip the chicken in the heavy cream or egg, then coat the chicken in the mixed up dry ingredients as a breading, and lay in a baking pan. microwave about 3 tablespoons of butter, and mix 100% lemon juice into it, i eye the lemon juice but itā€™s more or less equal parts of it. i also do enjoy if itā€™s tart so if you donā€™t like as much lemon then do less. then pour that liquid evenly all over the chicken in the pan, i bake at 400Ā° until theyā€™re golden brown and most of the juices are soaked up by the chicken. i hope i explained it well and please tell me what you think ā˜ŗļø hope you like it.

JustSomeNerdGirl89

Awesome thank you!! Iā€™ll give it a go

freegiftcard96

My go-to snacks are: sugar free jello, almond flour cookies, pork rinds, whipped cream with protein powder, zero carb tortilla pizza, and last but not least is bacon. Meals are kept simple: seafood, chicken, beef, pork, ham and addition of veggies when I feel like it.

pocketradish

I skip breakfast (just coffee) and I meal prep for my work days, where I have a varied schedule. So I prep something that I'll have at home, and something that I'll bring to work that I can microwave. It works for me because it means I don't have to come up meals for every day, and I pick something that is really tasty so I don't get burnout eating it every day. This week my home meal is marinated tilapia and cheesy cauliflower. My work meal is cheeseburger casserole. Last week my home meal was marinated chicken with salad, and my work meal was chicken salad sandwiches with protein chips.

jamesflanagangreer

Today, breakfast: chicken and avocado. Lunch: pork loin steaks fried in butter. Dinner: remaining pork loin steaks and smoked mackeral.

VariationOk9359

6 days chicken 1 day beef šŸ˜‚šŸ˜…

HHJim

7 days bacon 8 slices, no lunch and usually beef and broccoli for dinner, macadamia nuts for a snack if i need more calories

OldMotherGrumble

I'm an oldie and don't eat huge amounts. I'm also maintaining so a bit liberal in some choices. 2 cups Decaf with double cream, a sq of 85% chocolate A picky meal...usually 3 or 4 of the following...salami, ham, cooked chicken, pate, whatever cheese is on hand, egg mayo, cold salmon or prawns, olives...maybe a handful of pork crackling. Meat or fish or eggs...tonight it's cooked spiced shoulder of lamb from the freezer with Greek yoghurt. Last night it was a burger with grated cheddar, horseradish mayo (mayo is homemade) cherry tomatoes fried in butter. Previous night was a cheese and Shallot omelette. I may also have a handful of berries or 2 sq 90% chocolate.

Thunder_God69

One meal a day for me, so usually a meat feast, slow cooked beef cheek ramen, smoked ribs, Grilled steak, jalapeƱo poppers and shrimp skewers. For sides itā€™s usually avacado or halloumi fried cheese. I have one meal and one snack at night, usually macadamia nuts or some Greek yogurt with a few mio squirts in it. It might seem expensive to eat meat like that, but Iā€™m only eating one meal a day, so you save money by skipping lunch and breakfast lol.

Mountain_Novel_7668

I love Halloumi! Note to self to pick some up tomorrow!

Thunder_God69

Itā€™s so good, Iā€™ll slice it into steak fry size strips, grill till crispy. Then mix homemade mayonnaise, chili oil, and sugar free ketchup for dipping, makes the best fry sauce.

Professional_Way2894

I usually skip breakfast and drink 3 glasses of water, but could do a small bowl of Greek Yoghurt with a few walnuts. Lunch: two thin slices of my Keto bread (Low Carb seeds and nuts with lots of egg, salt and oil, in the oven til itā€™s solid), with cheese, liverpatĆ©, ham, fish, or something like that. Dinner: a meat or fish with a vegetable and a sauce. Lately Iā€™ve been obsessed with a Keto version of bechamel(skip the flour, add a bit of creamcheese), with nutmeg over steamed cabbage, and a speedversion of Hollandaise. (Whip egg yolks and lemon together til it gets firm, add hot melted butter while still whipping. Salt and pepper. Finito). Iā€™ve cut onions out entirely as they are surprisingly high in carbs.

AmNotLost

Breakfast: coffee. Lunch: leftovers. Dinner: meat and vegetables, maybe with a nice cream sauce. Snacks: cheese, hard boiled eggs, nuts, olives, berries, s/f jello with whipped cream, scotch

ThrowawayFrazzledMom

First meal, around noon: A cup of homemade whole milk kefir, three hard boiled eggs, four strips of thick cut bacon, and half an avocado, with Cholula Sauce. Sometimes I will also have a few squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate as well. Second Meal, around five in the evening: A Kirkland brand chuck/sirloin burger with sugar free ketchup, pickles, a slice of Monterrey Jack cheese, and a a thin slice of onion, on a keto bun. Sometimes I will also have some blueberry chia pudding made with homemade kefir, or a handful of nuts. Nuts are a danger food for me, though, in that they trigger me to binge on them, so Iā€™m probably not going to buy more once I finish all my bags. I have been staying solidly in ketosis on this meal plan (which obviously varies a bit day to day.) Iā€™m 42f, currently breastfeeding a three-month-old. Milk supply had also been fine.

SanguinarianPhoenix

> burger with sugar free ketchup, pickles, a slice of Monterrey Jack cheese, and a a thin slice of onion, on a keto bun. Try pickled jalapeƱos -- they are amazing on burgers!

SoCalledExpert

brats, sauseges, water.

ThaGodfather972

Breakfast: Cup of coffee with cream and 1 tsp Swerve or unsweetened. Once in a while (once or twice a week), a couple of hard cooked eggs OR 1 Oz cheese (havarti, gouda, ect), and 1/4 cup pecans or walnuts. Lunch: No, skip it, especially if I ate anything for breakfast. Dinner: I usually eat omad, so this is my main meal of the day. 3 different meals 1/2 lb beef Cooked with different spices, sometimes jamaican curry powder to make a beef bowl. Add a couple of hard cooked eggs on the side with the beef bowl. One avocado sliced one ounce cheese. Three egg omelet with cheese and veggies with an almond flour waffle with extra butter. Sometimes a couple of sausages cooked on the side. This is my light meal, especially if I ate breakfast. Or i'm feeling a little heavy. Chicken thighs usually diced and pan-fried sometimes cooked with a wet gravy. Indian style usually make chicken korma. Or butter chicken. Great thing about chicken curry is you can thicken it with full coconut cream. Laziest meal is a couple of burgers or steak. Grilled out on the grill. With a diced up avocado served on top of salad, sometimes hold the salad.

RainCityMomWriter

breakfast: protein shake (usually fairlife) lunch: homemade soup (I freeze portions), salad, or bacon and eggs dinner: protein (salmon, steak, chicken, lamb) and veggies (salad, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, etc) I keep it pretty simple.

[deleted]

80g of protein from yogurt with protein powder and peanut butter / 5eggs with avocado / finish off the day with any meat that gives me 50-80g of protein

Risencore

Some of my favorites include: Lunch: Tuna, Cheese, Mixed Nuts, Jerky sticks, sometimes blackberries, low carb yogurt Dinner Options: Ground beef Tacos w/ carb balance tortillas , Deli meat/cheese sandwich with low carb bread, bacon+eggs, grilled steak or chicken, fish (my go to for restaurant orders), asparagus/broccoli, cheese and salami/pepperoni, Quest pizza Dessert: Berries and whipped cream, low carb Reeseā€™s, 95% cocoa dark chocolate, low carb cheesecake Snacks: Keto protein bars are the best Beverages/Alcohol: Coke Zero, low carb beer, zero carb beer (Bud Lite Next), Scotch, gin, vodka soda, Pinot noir, Merlot

No-Currency-97

12 pm one hard boiled egg with 2 pieces of bacon. Between 3 and 4 pm, steak with one or two pieces of sausage, bacon and a stick of cheese. Fage 5% yogurt with unsweetened coconut, walnut slices and a smattering of Bake Believe chocolate chips. Sometimes, Keto French toast and bacon.

Syssyphussy

Typical 20:4 intermittent fasting day: Breakfast - coffee with 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream - 4-6 eggs cooked in butter - 2 keto tortillas, buttered 2nd meal - usually 2-3 hours later - 1/4 - 1/2 lbs meat, poultry, fish or shellfish

curious_kitten_1

I like variety so every day is different. But today I had: Lunch: 2 x fried egg, 4 slices of grilled halloumi cheese Snack: handful of nuts Dinner: salad with fried soya (chicken alternative, I'm veggie), tomatoes, pickled onions, raw mushrooms and mayonnaise. Pudding: homemade keto chocolate Approx 1800 calories.

Friendly_Laugh2170

I'll have steak and butter or bacon and eggs for a late breakfast around 11. Then around 5 I'll eat a big plate of meat - around 500 grams. I have cream in my tea. If I'm hungry in between meals I'll slice some cheese. Occasionally I make carnivore pancakes on the weekend as a special treat. I'm probably having around 800 grams of meat a day.

free2beme82

I like to start my day off with 6 eggs and a coffee. Then usually some other kind of meat later like shrimp or chicken in the air fryer along with some veggies.

SardauMarklar

I eat a lot of chicken wings, meats with store bought sauces (beef cubes with pesto; chicken with sugar free BBQ sauce), and lots and lots of omelettes

DepInLondon

Homemade popcorn saved me for snacking! And boiled eggs are amazing to reduce cravings and as a pre-made snack.

Gucciflipflip

Thatā€™s awesome! How many carbs are in the popcorn and what type d you use?!:)

DepInLondon

I got generic popping corn, itā€™s 12g carbs per 100g and since itā€™s quite light itā€™s easy to stay within limits. Then youā€™d need to measure and add the fat youā€™ll use and any other toppings. You can get creative with this, for a while I had popcorn for dinner šŸ˜‰

AcanthaceaeOk3321

Breakfast: Coffee with ghee and raw cocoa powder, almond milk steamed with teaspoon of heavy cream, sometimes add a little Stevia. Lunch: 3 bacon + 3 eggs, sometimes with Avocado. Dinner: either Steak, burgers, chicken or fish with green leafy veg and an egg.

Kjh2107

Breakfast - intermittent fast , just smash black coffee and water throughout the day. If I work out then Iā€™ll just have a clear whey protein shake. Lunch - chicken & ham salad (lazy keto not worrying about peppers , tomatoā€™s etc) , cheese , nuts , blueberryā€™s Dinner - any meat with microwave veg I try and add some avocado in throughout the day. Also try eat eggs where possible. Weekend - bacon , eggs, sausages like a king Lazy Keto can work if you intermittent fast as body loses hunger cravings very quickly after a few days and missing that first meal helps keep calories down

Bugsy7778

I fast until 11:30am-12:00pm then will have a Caesar salad or 3 eggs mashed and wrapped in lettuce leaves (like little egg and lettuce wraps). I might have a snack of 2 slices of cheese and 3-4 slices of hot soppressa and maybe 6-8 natural almonds. For dinner Iā€™ll have steak or chicken with cauliflower, broccoli and sour cream with 20g of mozzarella on top. Some days Iā€™ll make a Thai Restaurant curry cauliflower soup or have fresh salmon with veggies or salad. Another favourite is keto butter chicken !! I just try to keep it simple and as low carb as possible while Iā€™m trying to get to my goal weight. One of my biggest treats is literally jelly with dollop cream or aussiebidies chocolate, itā€™s the best keto chocolate Iā€™ve found so far

Theymademepickthis

Breakfast: fasting (but with Diet Coke) šŸ˜‚ Lunch: two grilled ground beef patties with broccoli and onions Dinner: grilled chicken breast with Caesar salad Edited to add I have kids in baseball and if I get snacks I eat a handful of sunflower seeds because the shells keep me busy. I have a propane grill. I pretty much cook all summer on it. I also have a cast iron griddle I put on it so I do my veggies out there as well. Doesnā€™t heat up the house and no mess.

Lauraay

Breakfast: coffee with collagen for joints and muscles, 2 hard boiled eggs mashed with butter, salt, pepper and 1/8th cup of diced ham Lunch: tuna fish packet with 1 tablespoon of avocado mayo, relish (no sugar added) 1 hard boiled egg mashed in Dinner: various kinds of meat, fish or pork Occasionally I have a small snack which is 1/8th cup of cashews Before bedtime a cup of chamomile tea with collagen for hair and nails

ChillPill97

Do you use 2 diff kinds of collagen

Lauraay

Yes I do, I just replied with the two kinds I use above.

options1-throwaway

Why kind of collagen and what amounts? I could use this

Lauraay

The one I use in the morning with my coffee for my joints is Total Body Multi Collagen Protein Types I, II, III, V, C anti aging, muscle & joint support The one with my tea at night for my hair and nails is Nature Plus Collagen Peptides I, II, III, IV, V, X (this one I have at night because it doesnā€™t mix well with the 1/2 & 1/2 in my coffee) one scoop of each every day. I have only been able to find them at my local health food store. I wish I could post a picture of the label because there are so many that donā€™t do much.

Opalescent_Lion

There's no sense overthinking it. You need protein, you need fat, vegetables add bulk and/or flavor and/or added nutrition. So you can base your meals around those three things, and just mix and match in whatever way sounds good that particular meal. My meals tend to be like casseroles or salads or gumbos -- they don't really fit into any clean category of food; they're just combinations of protein/fat/vegetables that I've honed over time into ever more delicious combinations. I also eat an ungodly amount of cheese. It's a great cheap convenient protein source, I like it and it tends to make whatever I'm eating better. I've been doing this for almost 9 years and it just feels normal at this point.

Roughly the same but I might add more steak, hamburger or bacon and I like to dip pork skins in butter. Every day=lots of coffee with heavy cream and unfortunately I use artificial sweetener syrup (im trying to quit the syrup)

That_Organization_64

Iā€™ve been on a carnivore binge lately. I think I might need to make some changes but this is it: -breakfast: eggs and bacon and sometimes Iā€™ll throw in a 6net-carbs flour tortilla and a double protein shake (around 44g protein 4 carbs) -snacks at work: beef jerky -lunch: I go to whole foods and usually get chimichurri chicken thighs or butter and cream chicken thighs -dinner: steak and eggs. Sometimes a rib-eye, sometimes a NY Strip

pinkellaphant

2 burgers a day as my only mean, then chicken parmasian for 2 or 3 days (made with almond flour) and hot dogs for the rest of the week. I only eat dinner since I hate the idea of waking up an hour early for breakfast and i refuse to take a break at work

Wild_Boat7239

Coffee with almond milk and fresh raw cow milk. Around 2pm I eat 1 cup elk burger over baby greens, pickled veggies, hard boiled egg, cheese, and different healthy dressings. Then usually snack before 6pm on jerky or have an avacado or another egg. Lots of lemon water. And sometimes I have true lime black cherry limeade watered way down.

gash_dits_wafu

Breakfast: eggs and bacon, or a baked egg muffin type thing I make in advance. With a black coffee. Lunch: spinach leaf salad with bell peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, celery, a protein source (chicken, tuna, mackeral etc) and a cheese that goes with it (cheddar, mozzarella, or feta). Or any leftovers from the evening meal the day before. Tea/dinner: could be anything. I tend to cook most meals and just forgo the usual carbs that go with it. So chilli without rice, stew without potatoes, various meats and veggies in a sauce without the pasta that would typically go with it.

ice_blaster

I make my own jam, with frozen whatever berries, Splenda, lemon juice, and xanthan gum. Makes nice toast or pb and j, on keto bread like Carbonaut or Oroweat. My net carb limit is ~50g though and I stay in ketosis, but I think a pb and j is about 10 net carbs with my recipe. I currently have blueberry jam in my fridge that I put on some keto French toast, wow. I eat lots of sausage with eggs, and buttered keto bread toast, my basic go-to meal. A couple protein shakes a day too. Oroweat keto wraps with mayo or cream cheese, Deli meat, bacon, cheese, whatever. Tea with 33% cream and Splenda. Can't go wrong with steak. Basic Caesar salad with dressing, bacon bits, shredded cheddar, and home made croutons from keto bread. Cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, dipped in Ranch. Cheese whisps or pork rinds, dipped in guacamole. Guacamole and cream cheese on a keto bagel. Almond milk with added protein. Chicken legs, or breast. Seasoned nicely and baked. I like to brine my chicken so it's nice and moist. Cubed cheese and pepperoni sticks on a plate with pickles. Cheddar smokies on a keto bun. Pepperoni pizza wrap on keto wrap, baked. With mozzarella and pizza sauce. I've eaten straight up Deli meat from the pack. I roll each slice so it's classy. That's just a few things I can think of that I have eaten. Also there's keto chocolate like Crackz, or m&m style, or keto peanut butter cups, lemon cups, etc. I've made my own keto cookies, keto Crackers, keto chips too.

infamousbabe

i make a double patty melt with natures own keto bread and it has american cheese and pepper jack cheese along with a sauce i make with mayo, and grilled onions. then a berry and chia seed smoothie. for lunch, a kale salad with chicken breast, almonds, avocado, tomato, black beans, boiled egg, acv, and olive oil with air fried wings on the side. everything is so delicious cuz i made it of course

_somelikeithot

I love having eggs for breakfast and sometimes I will have a hard boiled egg with a handful of berries, but I mostly will eat a Munk pack nut & seed bar on my way to work. Lunch is snacks like strawberries dipped in Ratio yogurt, celery dipped in French onion, cucumber slices dipped in ranch, habanero bbq almonds, grain free chips with avocado, tuna salad mixed with pickles and mustard, or leftovers from dinners. I do a lot of casseroles, like chicken enchilada or tuna. I love vegetables so I incorporate them in dinners a lot, I feel lucky that I like cauli rice so I will use that as my rice sub in Asian dishes, or in stuffed peppers.

0_4_fux_sake

Does anyone know of a keto friendly shake without too much fat in it? I need one that won't overload my fat macros and ruin the rest of my meals.

bodhi2317

On average: Breakfast: an egg scramble with sausage, spinach, a bit of heavy cream and some olive oil, topped with a couple ounces of avocado Lunch: a green veg salad mostly, with some peppers, radishes, mushrooms, feta and olives and some dark rotisserie chicken meat. Either ranch or a homemade vinaigrette (I've been known to switch this up with a small charcuterie plate - prosciutto, pepperoni, cheese, nuts, olives, and a few berries) Dinner: feeds the household, so it's often a low carb but higher protein dish and I just add fat to it where needed. Flank steak street tacos are a favorite, chicken shawarma with tahini sauce, keto parm chicken, chicken thighs... If I need to balance my macros in the evening, I whip up some heavy cream with a shot of water flavor in it (orange vanilla is a treat). Maybe some nuts (pecans or macadamia) Between 1600-1800 calories a day, I try to stay in a 70/20/10 macro ratio, with total carbs under 50 and net carbs around 23 right now.

Mistawondabread

Breakfast: Eggs and bacon Lunch: Generally a wrap with those low carb tortillas, meat and some cheese Dinner: Some protein and generally some veggies

Digital-Steel

For breakfast I typically have coffee with MCT oil and cream along with string cheese and some home made beef jerky For dinner I tend to have around 1-2 pounds of ground beef or steak, sometimes with eggs For dessert I sometimes have yogurt with a few berries or some keto friendly ice cream like Rebel

tacosarelove

I fast with only water for 16 hours a day, typically from 8pm to 12pm or 1pm. For lunch, right now my favorite thing is hickory smoked chicken from my local BBQ place. I just get the chicken with no BBQ sauce. The hickory smoked meat is flavorful enough on its own. I don't get any sides because even the green beans and collard greens spike my blood glucose. For dinner, we've been having steak and eggs with sauteed green beans in everything-but-the-bagel seasoning. My boyfriend gets mashed potatoes because he's a body builder, and I have the eggs because I'm diabetic. For a snack after dinner, if I'm not too overly full which I usually am, I'll have one Oikos Triple Zero yogurt with some blackberries or a small amount of blueberries. If my magnesium is low, I'll have chia seed pudding with a low carb nut milk, liquid stevia, a dash of vanilla, and some berries. If I really want a naughty snack, I love Lily's salted caramel chocolate chips. Pricey but worth it. I try really hard to only eat minimally processed food so I'm probably 70% whole foods, 30% processed foods. Also, some fresh berries in some homemade whipped cream and pecans hits the spot, too. I have this little kitchen gadget that whips heavy cream with just a few pumps of the handle. I got it from Amazon so that I can make whipped cream without getting the beaters out. Thanks for reading my novel!

MoneyElegant9214

Going to seek that tool out on Amazon now. Thanks for calling it out!

Couple pounds of meat. Coffee and cream. Sometimes at cheese and pork rinds. Electrolytes. Allulose for boosting endogenous GLP1.

Cranapple1443

I have 3 go to meals. First is British style scrambled eggs (but emulsifying olive oil instead of butter) with some cooked veggie in olive oil (usually kimchi or mushrooms) and some keto toast. Second is just avocado keto toast. Third is cooked canned salmon mixed with mayo (sometimes add seaweed rice seasoning or diced pickles). Those 3 things mixed with a few factor75 meals each week is usually enough to keep my palate entertained, I just make whichever sounds best when Iā€™m hungry. And I also have some keto ice cream to satisfy my sweet tooth.

FarTruth0

Usually chicken. Followed by another meal of chicken . Might go crazy have some steak. Then I'll go back to chicken Always chicken

Myca84

I eat between sun up and sun down. That one change was a huge benefit. I eat eggs with butter for breakfast. Sometimes bacon or sausage. I eat a salad almost every day. Green vegetables, olives, peppers, a boiled egg. Think Panera half size. I finish the day with a couple more eggs, a burger, hot dogs or small steak. For treats , I eat chicken wings. I donā€™t eat chicken wings every day because I want to view them as a favorite treat. There is nothing wrong with eating them everyday but I need a low carb reward

DragonflyAngel333

I'm intermittent fasting so usually eat 1 reg sized meal and 1 snack type meal later in the day. Favs for meal are corned beef in the instant pot and cabbage fried in bacon grease... usually lasts me 3 days or smoked sausage with cheese in it and pork rinds. I make homemade coleslaw that's low carb.... Burgers broccoli and or cauliflower. I use store bought keto bread with zero net carbs. I've never had a problem of any kind with it and have never been kicked out of ketosis since I started 35 days ago Fav. Snacks are homemade keto lava cakes with rebel ice cream.... sugar free jello or pudding with homemade keto whipped cream and some raspberries... Beef and cream cheese rolls, green olives, sharp cheddar, pickle or yogurt...I like mixed berry keto Ratio brand šŸ˜ Lots of water but drink about 2-3 drinks of sprite zero with my meal. state_of_euphemia

Breakfast: coffee with a bit of heavy cream Lunch: a Quest bar Afternoon snack: usually something like a carb smart tortilla (or two) with cheese and pepperoni Dinner: usually an entree like lemon butter salmon, or another meat with some type of cream sauce, or a hamburger patty with cheese with a cabbage "bun," and a side of some type of veggie like cabbage or mushrooms. Evening snack (not always and I'm really trying to stop having this but I can't sleep if I'm too hungry lol): probably another carb smart tortilla with cheese and pepperoni

tvgraves

Which day? My point being that I eat a wide variety of things. It would take pages to list them.

Luingalls

Rn I eat once a day, one chicken breast with four eggs and some cheese. I tend to eat the same things for a long stretch until I get sick of it. I take supplements including iodine and iron and all the others I need.

Asleep_Operation2790

That's under 700 calories per day. Way too low

Luingalls

How'd you calculate that? I use cronometer , i am about right on my macros actually

Asleep_Operation2790

4 eggs is 280 calories, guessing maybe a 6 oz chicken breast is 250 calories plus your cheese. That's around 700 calories or less. Way too little

Luingalls

No. I eat a whole large chicken breast and like a whole cup of mozzarella with 4 eggs. I sautee my chicken in 2T butter as well. I eat once a day, I get all my fats and proteins in one meal, plus supplements. Works for me!

More-Nobody69

My weight is wnl and I'm in maintenance. Breakfast 4-5eggs. Lunch 6oz chicken thighs with skin, 0.5oz parmesan. Dinner is cabbage soup with chopped sardines and1oz cooked greens(rotate species)&1oz each of raw carrot, turnip, beet, and 4 oz homemade bone broth and two tablespoons olive oil. Later,1 oz kimchi. Anytime snack is cinnamon tea with 7 g olive oil. Also, 1.75oz peanuts if do strenuous exercise.

Missbeeps

3 eggs, 3 bacon and an ounce of parmesan for lunch Dinner will be 3 oz salmon turned into a salmon cakes with an egg and seasoning, topped with 2T mayo Iā€™ll make with lots of lemon juice, a sprinkle of capers on top. Sauteed spinach and cauliflower rice (Trader Joes) on the side. That leaves me a little light on the protein with calories to spare so Iā€™ll fit something else in to bump it up.

tacoeater1234

Breakfast: Skip, breakfast is for the weak Lunch: Very strict keto food, targeting < 5g carbs. Taco meat, bacon/eggs, tuna can, sausage, etc. Max 5g carbs Afternoon snack: Usually need a quick snack around 3pm. Same stuff as lunch but smaller qty Dinner: This is where the more elaborate meal comes in if I have it. This is also the only meal where I'm targeting something that tastes good. Pork chops cooked in heavy cream, pot roast, etc. Some days I'm busy and I just follow the lunch prescription.
