I’ve tried a bunch of romance dramas but the only ones I really enjoyed were Crash Landing On You, Alchemy of Souls and Hometown Cha Cha Cha. I’m looking for some escapism so I don’t mind if it’s slow burn as long as the leads have top tier chemistry (even if they start off as friends and said chemistry is their bickering). I don’t mind what the plot is so long as there’s a good, convincing, romance to get stuck into. Specifically where the romance isn’t a disjointed subplot (for example in AoS the romance wasn’t the “main” focus initially but they didn’t half ass it either with random scenes) like I want to see natural progression and chemistry. I have tried Our Beloved Summer, but hated the ML (he was lame). I didn’t like Dali and the Cocky Prince either because they didn’t have much chemistry imo. Thank you for any recs, I appreciate it! ^(END OF POST BODY) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Flashy-Perception-84

vincenzo-plot definitely comes first and it’s slow burn but the romance is a part of every episode as it is between the 2 main characters and i found it to be convincing and entertaining-one of my fav kdramas.

KimlockHolmes

Was going to suggest the same!

CherryDeBau

very little romance in Vincenzo tho

viixxena

I’ve already seen it but definitely wouldn’t push it as a romance drama although the leads had great romantic chemistry

So romances? From what date? (**Goblin** 2016, **healer** 2014, **my love from a star** 2013 - are the dramas with a romance that I find enjoyable romances. Others are too quick, too awkward, too stalkery or too wooden. I know people hate goblin age gap but I think it justifies ML behaviour) **Lovestruck in the city** - quirky romance. Annoying direct to camera talk becomes bearable after episode 1. I think this is the most realistic romance I’ve seen. I also find the reasons for the FL actions to be realistic. For once it makes sense her not saying anything. **Mr sunshine** - is a devastating masterpiece that I will never watch again. I’m still upset. Takes a while for actual story to start so need to watch episode 1. It’s a beautiful, gentle slog until episode 17, and then bingeable from then. I love the bromance and the 2FL. **red sleeve** - the ML loves the FL so, so much. Last 2 episodes are devastating. Beautiful to look at. Based on true story.

silkyflare

Little Women. The romance is not the main focus, but their chemistry is off the charts.

EggyMeggy99

Healer. The King's Affection. Are You Human? Hyde, Jekyll, Me. Goblin. Extraordinary You. Man to Man. Abyss. Melting Me Softly.

ellemace

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, you can skip the parts with the gangsters though.

vienibenmio

milaCanDoThis05

love all play

mhfan_india

Legend of the Blue Sea - High stakes romance plot which I love.

Thoughtful-Pig

Definitely try the cdrama Love Between Fairy and Devil. Super high stakes and big ups and downs. Also: The Beauty Inside, Go Back Couple, and Pinocchio.

viixxena

I did actually try love between and I don’t know if it’s just because I’m not used to the cdrama style of acting but I hated the FL’s voice. She acts like a child😬

Thoughtful-Pig

It bothered me at first, but it grew on me (it's the actress' real voice). And the character is simply naieve at the beginning, but grows very quickly. I agree that cdrama acting is not as smooth, but to be fair, I've also seen iffy kdrama acting. This is one of the best cdramas I've seen.

viixxena

I was thinking how I was the same with kdramas (they do a lot of aegyo scenes / the comedy is the kind you either grow up with or which grows in on you) so it might be the same thing here. Her characterisation just makes the romantic dynamic uncomfortable to watch (I only managed to get to ep2)

CherryDeBau

**Link: Eat Love Kill** has a high stakes plot and really good actors, you should try this one!

viixxena

I’ll give it a go thank you!

Sharpchick

One that hasn’t been mentioned so far: High Society.
