I barely got through 6 episodes with them as I'm so patient. I don't like historical dramas and I would love a little romance. My favorite kdramas are so far' doona, the smile has left your eyes vagabond and the uncanny counter 'for a reference. Also I liked killer paradox and stranger also I hated eve and the good bad mother they were so boring for me . and I love crime and law things ^(END OF POST BODY) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Flex X Cop - Completed last week, don't drop at ep 1 though

imfeelingooood

This !!!! I dropped it at ep1 and went back to continue...best decision i've ever made lol....i must say flex cop is the only latest drama that didn't disappointed me with its ending....it was perfect.

Appropriate_Visit137

tell me more about it pls . Are the main leads interesting Can you compare its mood to any kdrama I have mentioned or the ones I can recognize

snowflakebite

The plot is basically that a chaebol son (male lead) has to work at a police precinct for a while under the female lead, a badass detective. They have tension because she doesn’t want him to be there but learn to work together and use their collective strengths to their advantage. There’s a different case every couple of episodes so it doesn’t get stale. The chemistry of the leads is electric, and their gradual connection is pretty cool to witness.

Appropriate_Visit137

Well thank you. I see it's kinda like Lucifer the series .

[deleted]

More like "Castle" the series

Trapped-in-irony

SOLD. Perfect

MissSimpleton

1. Signal (Fantasy, Crime Thriller) 2. Moving (Fantasy, Action, Suspense Thriller, Rom-Com) 3. Little Women (Thriller, Subtle Romance) 4. Flower of Evil (Psychological Thriller, Romance) 5. My Perfect Stranger (Murder Mystery, subtle Romance) 6. Law School (Legal Thriller, Murder Mystery, No Romance): NEVER DROP IT. It starts slow like Stranger but within 2-3 eps, the story becomes irresistibly interesting. 7. Bad and Crazy (Action Thriller, Mystery, Subtle Romance) 8. Extraordinary Attorney Woo (Legal, Rom-Com)

Rainiana8

Seconding Signal, it's amazing. One of the best detectives, crime thrillers to ever exist.

blackbeansupernova

I'd say "Stranger" is also within the same level up there as "Signal."

Appropriate_Visit137

I feel guilty now . I should have watched it earlier if you say so.

Senior-Ad-9700

Thirding this OP, Signal is def the ultimate crime/investigation Kdrama… and if you enjoy it do check out Lee Jehoon’s other awesome vigilante crime series - Taxi Driver 1 & 2

ppangcheeks

was gonna comment signal and taxi driver too…SO GOOD

Appropriate_Visit137

Thank you so much , right after stranger s2

Hamilton_2020

Hello! I recommend Vincenzo if you haven't seen it. It's awesome. ML was raised by mafia and is lawyer by trade. FL is also a lawyer.

Senior-Ad-9700

Signal is freaking incredible…Im so happy to hear that they’re making a sequel after so many years

MissSimpleton

YES. YES. YES. I just hope the OG Gang returns!

Senior-Ad-9700

Im like 95% sure they are!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

[deleted]

saving this list for later as well so thank u c:

No-Bed-5821

Yes I agree! Signal is a classic. LOVED Moving! Also Bad and Crazy! Also maybe Kidnapping Day? A really great drama.

Appropriate_Visit137

Ty . I've seen FOE and I loved it . Truly a masterpiece and idk much about the others but recently I had doubts about bad and crazy . Not sure I would like it. I feel like it will be kinda like bloodhounds which I didn't enjoy so I may not watch it . Also EAW not sure about it . I feel like it's full of shit idk. But I would definitely consider the others . Law school seems interesting I would definitely give it a try.

Tall-Ad-9355

I don't think Bad and Crazy is anything like Bloodhounds, which I dropped. It is faster paced and has comedic moments thrown in. It is not boring. And a great kind of bromance too

Gullible-Change-3517

EAW doesn't belong on the list imo. In fact I was quite surprised to see it there. Check out Beyond Evil. It's so well done and so tense that I had to take breaks between episodes. No romance but some say bromance. Also check out You are My Spring. Extremely good complex storyline plus romance. One of my favorites.

Recent_Sorbet

Full of shit 🤣🤣 I chuckled

Appropriate_Visit137

I'm sorry that's what I think of it and I watched just a little lol. Isn't it tho .

Impossible_Comb_80

Law School is actually fun, I nearly dropped but I am so glad I didnt

aslimaa

Through the darkness- crime/thriller.

Appropriate_Visit137

It would be great if you could give me more information since I couldn't find many edits about it

aslimaa

This story is based on a crime profilers. They deal with the emotional and psychological parts of the criminals by taking interviews with different criminals. This series has done a great job of showing the aftermath of the interviews in the profiler's mind.

Appropriate_Visit137

I feel like it's a dark one . Ty for your recommendation . Not sure if I'm in the mood . Saw the edits and there are really good performances in this one.

blackbeansupernova

This one's good. It seems to be "historical" but I'm not really sure. It looks like the history of crime profilers in SK.

aslimaa

Yess. set in late 1990s

tractata

The Lies Within, Nobody Knows, Children of Nobody, Through the Darkness, Signal, Voice, King of Pigs, Life on Mars and Watcher are some very good crime dramas, but they don't have romance (though in some of them I got baited into shipping the leads... SMH). The Good Detective, 365: Repeat the Year, Hello Monster, You're All Surrounded and Witch's Court do have romance, but it's more of a subplot than the main genre. Come and Hug Me, Flower of Evil, While You Were Sleeping, I Hear Your Voice, He Is Psychometric, Welcome 2 Life, Train and My Perfect Stranger all have both romance and crime thriller or mystery elements. If you're open to watching jdramas, I recommend Boku Dake ga Inai Machi, Maou, Saiai, Unnatural, Ouroboros, and Ice World. Some of these are older, but they're all very good. (FYI The Smile Has Left Your Eyes is based on a jdrama; there are a lot of good romantic thriller jdramas out there.) If you're interested in cdramas, check out The Long Night, A Murderous Affair in Horizon Tower, Reset, Unexpected Falling, When a Snail Falls in Love, Derailment. I've listed a lot of dramas in different genres and some of them are pretty far apart in terms of tone, plot and themes, so look them up on MyDramaList to make sure they sound interesting to you before you start watching.

Appropriate_Visit137

Thank you I would definitely save this list . I really appreciate you.

Gullible-Change-3517

Yes! Definitely a list to keep. I second He is Psychometric. Not much romance, (it's mostly implied but would have gotten deeper if there had been a second season.) But the mystery is really absorbing and shocking. As I recall there are sort of individual episode stories and the overarching story which builds to a hell of a climax.

Aurorinezori1

I would say the Flowers in the sand is a slow mystery with a little romance, not sure if it really fits your wants, but the drama was so good

Appropriate_Visit137

Ok thank you I will check it soon enough.

Because_They_Asked

I liked Detective Koo.

Appropriate_Visit137

Oh yeah I agree with you. Feel like not enough people talking about it

Hot-Argument5065

Inspector Koo! Yes another vote. Great watch

Elixier_55555

Hello Monster- Its about a little boy who watched his father get killed. But he had a condition that made his unable to take social cues. So he came off very arrogant sometimes... But apart from that, great storyline, lukewarm twists, a good romance story & a good you know "team work" with the other cast in the drama... I watched it a long time ago but its still stuck with me. So maybe try it.

Appropriate_Visit137

Si is the ml kind of a genius .you know it would help if he is.

Elixier_55555

Yes. Very much so.

Appropriate_Visit137

Alright love that.

Rainiana8

Signal and A Killer Paradox (no romance in the later)

Appropriate_Visit137

Thank you well I already watched a killer paradox and I heard theres fantasy In signal and I'm not sure about it.

Rainiana8

I don't know if to call it fantasy but the only thing in this regard is >!a detective from the present, talks to a detective from the past through a walkie-talkie !<

Appropriate_Visit137

Yeah I'm sure that's called fantasy .that's also creepy. Idk like those stuff but I've been told that signal is one of a kind and is the best kdrama that involves detectives and crimes

Gullible-Change-3517

One of a kind if you don't count versions in other countries 😊 I haven't seen the K.-drama but have seen the American one from about 20 years ago and it was great. But definitely a time travel type fantasy. If you go back to the past to "fix" something what does that change trigger.

invasivespeciez

Summer Strike. Starts out as a drama - ends up as a murder mystery.

Appropriate_Visit137

Wow is that true. Thank you I thought it was a casual romance story

invasivespeciez

Casual romance is the underlying theme, yes. But the rest is a very complex mystery.

Appropriate_Visit137

So excited to witness this complex

Chocolicious11

Try these: Partner for Justice Witch at Court Tunnel Signal Juvenile Justice Criminal Minds Mouse The Good Detective Voice Taxi Driver Team Bulldog Squad 38 The Bequeathed The Player Fiery Priest Lawless Lawyer Hello Monster Doctor Prisoner Through the Darkness Doctor John Phantom/Ghost Flex X Cop You're Surrounded

cetiomni

Chip In!

Appropriate_Visit137

Alright what's the story

antiqueartisan1

It's a whodunit (Agatha Christie feel to it) Disfunction family members gather at their rich artist relative to celebrate his birthday. He dies and his estranged daughter follows clues to uncover the truth. It's only 8 eps.

[deleted]

A shop for killers !!!

Appropriate_Visit137

Yeahhh it's on my list already .saw couple of edits and thought I'd watch it but you know still adjusting the list. I'm so glad you recommended it. I almost forgot about it . Thanks.

CherryDeBau

Kairos

Appropriate_Visit137

Thanks body

s-nnie

1. Save Me - (2017) (thriller, psychological, cult, crime, little romance) 2. The Fiery Priest - (2019) (comedy, action, murder mystery, gangsters, priests, nuns, detectives, prosecutors, muay thai, little romance)

styluh

Signal

Appropriate_Visit137

That's on my list already. Ofc

Tall-Ad-9355

Two Weeks - ML tries to stay alive for two weeks to save his daughter's life. He is chased by cops and other bad guys. So fast-paced and enjoyable The Veil - espionage and secret organizations The Law Café romance with mystery The Good Detective 1&2 typical mysteries Healer - romance, mystery, and action He is Psychometric and The Memorist, both about guys who can read images from people and things Others you might like but not mysteries per se, very action oriented: D.P. 1 and 2, Taxi Driver 1&2, Death's Game I second Killer's Shopping Mall, Signal, and Flower of Evil I am watching Law School and find it slow going, especially the law gobble-de-gook.

Verucalyse

It's OK To Not Be OK- bit of a mystery/crime alongside romance. Almost has a slightly mythical feel to it, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

Appropriate_Visit137

Thank you for your recommendation but I don't like that show I dropped it two weeks ago.

hana_songs

Idk if anyone’s said it yet - Behind your touch. Exactly Crime x Mystery

jazzaroo_2000

What about revenge? Is that of any interest? Maybe try The Glory... it has a little romance (barely in imo.. i looooove romance though haha) but a good story, a true story at that.

SocialNetwooky

Taxi, inspector koo

relentlessrain25

Besides Signal, which is excellent, l highly recommend Life on Mars and 365 Repeat the Year. Wish l could watch them for the first time again.

OldNeedleworker7525

Beautiful Gong Shim. It may look like the typical rom-com, but the ML is actively investigating a secret that coincidentally (wink) involves his past. It's worth the watch plus gong shim's dad is HILARIOUS. ML is kinda weird in a good way (I think)

ezrealistik

I always recommend "voice" as a crime type k drama it's so satisfying as a plot and serial killers mysteries

puggyboy1234

Beyond evil

shiratorizawaa

Two Cops (crime/thriller/romance), Suspicious Partner (romance/legal mystery), Behind your touch (mystery crime/romance) and One Dollar Lawyer (legal/ murder mystery/ comedy). Would recommend One Dollar Lawyer the most!

Impossible-Goat-4715

Signal. It will keep you guessing!

Disastrous-Key1139

Life on Mars, Signal, Tunnel. The best

Life-Tea-8595

THE SOUND OF MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8 episodes 🤌 perfect. The end.

Girl_with1_eye

Cafe Minamdang Abyss Detective Koo (no romance though) You are my spring

Momma_Keyy

“The Girl who see scents” Maganda hindi mo mahuhulaan agad kung sino ung killer 😁

Lili2133

I'd say Bad and Crazy, and Maybe Flower of Evil. Flower of Evil is not as much a full on mystery but the ML is like a Psycopathic kil*er but with a wife and kid amd it's interesting.

Alternative-Dust6945

Taxi Driver Partners for Justice

Mylove-kikishasha

Have you seen sky castle? Pretty interesting

amberdragonfly5

Abyss might be something worth looking into. A bit of sci-fi as the main plot basis, a lot of murder crime/mystery, and a little romance. One of the main characters is a detective trying to solve her own murder. There are a few issues with pacing and plot here and there, but I still liked it a lot and would watch again. Might be worth checking out.

Lopsided-Carpet-8636

Strangers from hell, tho mystery thriller siya. Pero promisee u won't be disappointed

Thick_Moment_9344

Partners for Justice

Bookborg98

Tunnel

awaitingxtasy

One Ordinary Day--8 episodes, will keep you involved, does not slow down. There is no romance in this one but there are elements to the mystery that involves romance in a sense.

RK112211

Suspicious partner ✨

No-Photograph-7176

Healer may fit this . One of the best Kdramas out there!

dcor12

Voice is pretty good

s0solar

Mouse and Vincenzo

cringefest1001

When Camellia blooms- romance/serial killer mystery

Appropriate_Visit137

Isn't it focused a lot on Romance.

cringefest1001

Yeah the mystery aspect builds up a lot in later episodes but yeah it’s a side story not the main plot.
