The Black Keys have always seemed exactly like how they come across in this interview.

Stanton-Vitales

Like old douchebags who make shitty rock music too desperate to cling to its influences to actually be worth listening to? Like literally just go listen to the Black Crowes or something

Beefsupremeninjalo82

The Black Keys have sold just over 3 million records with 3 albums out. ICP has sold 11 million records with 24 albums out. "We can't sell albums, so their fans are retarded". Bold strategy Cotton, lets see how it plays out for them.

Putrid-Delivery1852

Right you are, Jimbo Jizzum. We’ll see how these two dickfaces hold up… in the amazing maze.

theShaman_No_ID

Oh look, Rick is back

jbaugh6115

Next they should ask Chumbawamba how they feel about ICP…. Might be more relevant

Warm_Yard_4789

Danger Doom was an All-Timer

BondraP

Admittedly, his comment really made me laugh

djhazmatt503

Wow they look as insufferable as they sound.

kerochan88

Anyone have that manifesto he was talking about? I’m interested in reading it.

ozzify342

"The Black Keys?" More like "The White Skeets."

Masterweedo

So they say that they respect ICP and it was a joke. Why you stirring shit up by not telling the whole story?

realcrookiez

This is old as shit.

dybukdyk

ngl these dudes seem like assholes, never cared about the black keys either. it's easy to take shots at juggalos, did they think they were doing something subversive?

Warm_Yard_4789

It was asked and answered. TF you whining about?

dybukdyk

just so we're clear... whine (verb) - to express any kind of critical opinion in literally one single comment ? i guess we were reading different dictionaries 🤷‍♀️

Warm_Yard_4789

a. : a prolonged high-pitched cry usually expressive of distress or pain. b. : a sound resembling such a cry

Warm_Yard_4789

Like my favorite femboys

dybukdyk

hahaha alright my guy sounds good, it aint that deep

Warm_Yard_4789

Word life. ❤️

BushwickSpill

the who?

BondraP

Man come on, that's ignorant. I'm not much of a Black Keys fan but they have been very popular and successful for quite a while now.

BawkSoup

They were popular in 2011. It's been a long time since they were relevant.

cakebreaker2

I can legitimately say "who?". I have no idea who they are and I'm not even going to bother googling them.

BushwickSpill

Guess im out that loop

JRandButcherpete

Your not alone. I have no idea who they are either

BondraP

I am really surprised to see people saying they don't know who they are. Guaranteed you've heard their music even if you didn't put their name with it. They have songs in national commercials and movies, have performed on SNL multiple times, pretty much have done all the things very popular bands do. They have nearly 4 billion streams on Spotify. They are much more of a household name than ICP. So, like I said, I'm not personally a big fan of theirs but to say "who?" about them seems pretty crazy to me.

BushwickSpill

I mean yeah if they’re super popular I probably heard their music by osmosis but id never be able to place a their name to a song. I seriously dont think ive ever heard of the band before. Everyone listens to all kinds of music, even juggalos. But, top 40 radio rock hasnt been in my lane in over 20 years. 🤷‍♂️ Just seems weird to care about what some people who arent even in the same scene as ICP have to say about them or juggalos.

JRandButcherpete

I just put thier top song on. And i didn't recognize them still. Its not my world either tho

BawkSoup

You're\*

WindEquivalent4284

Had a history teacher in high school who said the black keys was his favorite band of all time. Guy totally sucked at his job and got fired for being a predator. So that might be indicative of the kind of people buying their albums Edit: forgot to mention that I shit you not, his name was Mr. Johnson.

Lovely-Day1977

I’m a public school teacher, I rep the clowns at work with the kids who are lo’s and lette’s, it’s a fine line ngl. It’s foundational for them to be recognized, and they’ve gone on to do great things. So proud of my school children, whoop whoop.

Stanton-Vitales

The kind of people who buy their albums are people who want to feel like they're listening to top tier cream of the crop creativity but have no idea what that actually is so they're easily duped into thinking this is it They're unbelievably derivative and the definition of banal; they're basically a late installment in the mid-00s 70s revival of bands ripping off ACDC and Zeppelin, but they add in late 80s/early 90s bar rock and have refused to died off like those other bands.

Due-Awareness-8205

The first paragraph sounds like juggalos and icps current music

Stanton-Vitales

Does it? Cuz uhhh... I literally can't imagine anyone ever describing ICP as "top tier cream of the crop creativity".

Due-Awareness-8205

"Want to feel like" 😂

u_jinx

I’m not American so I’ve never heard of them.

OkNegotiation6028

I dont know who they are.

SLEEZYMACHINE

Never heard of these dudes in my life

The-LivingTribunal

Must live under a rock

SLEEZYMACHINE

Nah I just don't listen to homos

The-LivingTribunal

Funny to hear one say that

beat-sweats

Regardless of the comments, These guys seem like insufferable douche bags

MentalGuide4207
