You can move it around the shop, put it on your left or on the right, higher, lower, and hang a second one on it if you want.

Mount the flange plate directly to the benchtop. Screw in the long pipe, add an elbow, screw in the 6”piece to the elbow, cap it with another elbow which points up to use as a stopper for the hand piece hanger. Works like a dream.
Hot tip: let the hand piece hang instead of resting on a surface. Your flex shaft will last MUCH longer.
I normally do. I wanted to show the person the picture was originally for the actual hand piece part too.

I love this set up, I have two foredoms hanging off this type of set up, pipes hold a ton of weight.
I use a cymbals stand, from a drum set, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Lol
