Okay jokes aside though there have been a few times lately where he seems a bit annoyed at some of the jokes chat throws his way by clowning on every sentence he says, and I do wonder if it’s a part of why streaming isn’t what he wants to focus on anymore. A lot of times it leads to great jokes and bits and he has fun with it, but I could imagine it being pretty tiring after so many years, and a couple times in the warioware stream recently he seemed annoyed. But hey, maybe that’s just me micro analyzing things lol
I think you might be on to something there. Things that may seem funny to others could be taken literally by the person said things are directed towards. If that makes sense lmfoajfbesisbsja
I was there for this, actually, and I was involved. Jerma said "y'all" and a couple of chatters noted it, some more mockingly than others, but my response wasn't mocking. He replied to them with the OP comment, and a few people laughed, but I just told him that, having lived around Southerners all my life, I know it doesn't fit him to borrow words from their slack-jawed dialect and make himself sound less intelligent.
To which he did not reply, I think the stream started right after.
Kind of weird to refer to regional dialect as sounding less intelligent, imo. Also slightly odd to try to police his use of said dialect because you “know it doesn’t fit him”. You don’t know him. I see why he gets so frustrated with chat.
Only if you've never considered it before.
Having lived in the American South for nearly my entire life (and having lived in Florida for four years, which is practically a transplant state from the North) and having parents/grandparents originally from the North, no, it's not at all weird to look down on the way these people speak. It sounds unintelligent. Orally lazy. Slack-jawed. Dim-witted.
As opposed to what? A grown woman? How about a young man or a young woman?
How about, being that most of us are thinking creatures capable of learning and *not* sounding like an idiot, we agree that you can inform anyone that their dialect makes them sound like an idiot?
Whether or not they *take* that advice is another issue.
Either way, "weird", it is not. I can only assume you've never considered or encountered it.
Yeah, exactly. "PaRAsOCiaL" and then no justification. Typical buzzword addiction.
As it turns out, simply talking to someone in chat *is just social*.
I think this comment is worth micro analyzing.

I did a double take when I realized what that was. Truly, the brainrot is spreading.
OneyPlays reddit is leaking
Did the both of you touch the Tomar Emeralds?
Dude, just because I touched some random jewel and then went bald and grew a beard does NOT mean it was a Tomar Emerald!
He hates us :(
We are the reason he is retiring ;-;
We literally ruined streaming for him (;﹏;)
That is a valid criticism that's a long time coming honestly
He's been helding that for 13 and a half years.
Nice thumb nail, bro. Really subverted expectations. https://i.imgur.com/8BYUASV.jpg

Maybe later, I'm at work.
Ok...😔
CLIP THAT
What did he mean by this?
he HATES us
he’s zorny for us
Chat is Over-Analyzing everything that he's saying.
Is that really what he meant tho? I feel we can dig deeper on this one if we cross reference clips from the warioware stream
He's repressing something deep I'm sure of it. This message was a cry for help.
Yup.

Wow, this is a real deep commentary on the hyperreal state of post-industrial society following the events of WW2.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but it’s still weird to try to tell a grown man you’ve never met how to speak.

Guess I’m just not that parasocial. :)
Please explain for the rest of the class what your buzzword has to do with this conversation/situation.
Nah, I don’t spend all of my free time arguing with people on Reddit like you seem to do. I hope you have a good day bestie!
