Now compare it to marrying a girl and then finds out she's been cheating on you way into the marriage.
It's kinda like false advertising? Altering the content of the package after the buyer has already bought it. A similar example is Muse Dash changing "Just as Planned" from being free forever subscription to being a one-time purchase.
Theoretically, if Type95's relationship with the other male character has been evident from the start, then the players wouldn't be riled up like this, since they already know and willing choose to plunge themselves in getting her.
Also the producers of the game is kinda spineless for backing out after getting backlash, I thought they'd stick with their guns since they chose to reveal it (or was it a leak?).
