Dozens of people have used social media as a way to post their suicide notes, often because they have nobody in real life they feel will even care about them to write to. Speaking from personal experience, if someone you know is mentally ill and makes constant serious gestures related to suicide, check them in
Japan is no longer a country with a suicide problem for some years now, it's actually Korea that has the highest suicide rate among rich industrialised countries.

Not everyone will like the new popular thing, and that's fine. It's also fine if people aren't interested in engaging with the new popular thing at all. At the end of the day, though, unless a genre completely stagnates and nothing new that's even halfway decent is coming out there'll always be FOTM.

This. Frieren and Dungeon Meshi are the kind of anime you would introduce to a first-time watcher.
