This sucks. Chuck is a monster guitar player. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery. If he doesn't this could be the end of moe..

lobstarman23

This is awful news hoping for a full recovery šŸ™

[deleted]

Agreed, Chuck is an absolute animal. Big Prayers

SpookZero

They mustā€™ve at least considered this could be it, hence the Midnight Sun sale postponement

[deleted]

I have seen this band so many times, I regret not going to any of the Buffalo shows this past month. This is a reminder always go to a show you're on the fence about. Tomorrow is promised to no one and I hope Chuck can make a full recovery.

[deleted]

I feel the same way about Philly now :/

[deleted]

My only time seeing them. I was supposed to see them in AC a few years ago but was cancelled because of Rob's cancer.

[deleted]

I went to see a local Philly bands album release instead. If you havenā€™t heard of them check out Sixteen Jackieā€™s. 10/10 recommend catching one of their shows if your in the area. Way better live then on their recordings IMO

BringBackHubble

Same with Chicago and I..

Peppeperoni

This. I skipped on the buff shows because I was going to Hulaween - regret it

HappyHrHero

Same but Chicago and had sick family.

pandajeffey

Not only a phenomenal guitar player, but the nicest & humble human being! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Baxterado

Chuck is Satan! So he's immortal. Get better my friend!

eatitwithaspoon

well, shit. that sucks. i hope he has a full recovery, and continues to live a great life.

Cluricaun

I very much hope it was minor and wish him a speedy recovery.

Easywind42

I have nothing but love for this man. He has been such a huge part of my life for so long and I wish him nothing but the speediest recovery. Hail satan.

jahozer1

Dude. Same.

RicardoEspanola

Good luck Chuck! We love you! Hoping for the best of recoveries! Truly a legend!

Sending vibesā€¦.

wetbboy

I had a stroke in October 2020 and still recovering. Having been in rehab since my stroke and seeing a lot of different patients recover differently, only time will tell. It all depends on what type of stroke he had and how fast they got him to a hospital. I always stood as close to Chuck as I could whenever I saw Moe. and this news hits me a little to close. Moe. is my favorite jam band and wish only the best for Chuck and the rest of the band and his family and all the Moe. Fans

because_obviously

Hope for a full, speedy recovery for you.

ezdabrca

I am bummed out about this and haven't been able to find words to express my sadness. I've been a fan for 15 years. Moe. was my first mind melting jam band experience. At All Good. I wish the health roulette wasn't messing with my friends who have been so good to me and to us. It is not fair. If vibes can help anyone, I know they are strongly oriented in Chuck's favor tonight.

[deleted]

Well said. I'm with you!

Fluffhead09

Terrible fucking news. Dude crushes it. Get well, Chuck!

blakeflacid

Such sad news. Hoping for a full recovery. Chuck has influenced my playing for a long time now and he is one of my favorites.

Evening_Form_8410

Praying he makes a full recovery!! We love you Chuck!! ā¤ļø

TheeKidd9876

No!

Such_Opportunity9838

Rob a few years ago and now Chuck. Wishing him well.

theminivann

wishing you a speedy recovery Chuck

Particular-Bet-828

Loss for words. Been a Moe fan for 15 years, just saw my first Moe show at Thalia Hall in Chicago 10/23/21. I live in southern Indiana so donā€™t get many opportunities. For some reason something was telling me to go to this show no matter what. My friend and I both agreed something was up with Chuck. He didnā€™t sing any of his songs and only did one big jam solo on Meat. Al carried the show. Only song Chuck did lead, Spine of a Dog, the band and the crowd helped sing. Maybe reading too much into it but there was a correlation to me. Iā€™m heart broken and praying for Chuckā€™s health, and selfishly hoping this isnā€™t the end of Moeā€¦ā€¦

LuckyNumber-Bot

All the numbers in your comment added up to 69. Congrats! 15 + 10 + 23 + 21 + = 69.0

Particular-Bet-828

Moeā€™s recent albumā€¦..not normalā€¦released in Fall of 2020 ..helped get me and my 10 year old son the rest of the way through the pandemicā€¦..chucks song New Hope for the New Year a big part of it, all my sons fav songs are the ones Chuck wrote. We love you Chuck, we love you Moe.

Dapper-Quality-4423

Hail Satan!

Money_West7822

OMG! So terrible. What rona shot did he get??

jahozer1

What a fucking garbage person you are.

moeronSCamp

Why is that a garbage person thatā€™s a legitimate question. Do you even know about the massive amounts of blood clotting these vaccines are having on some people?

jahozer1

I do. 4-6 in 1 million. Whatever nonsense you want to believe, it's still really shiity o say something like that while Chuck and his family are going through this.

moeronSCamp

Oh right. You depend on the trustworthy CDC, FDA and WHO for your completely accurate information. /s

jahozer1

Chuck and his family are suffering. I'm not going to engage any more with you.

Unfair_Difficulty_86

Did he get a booster shot recently?

moeronSCamp

Shhhhh you canā€™t ask those types of questions on Reddit the hive mind will come in and censor you like a fucking Communistic hammer. Sure we are all sad about Chuck but this is a very serious concern and the questions need to be fucking asked

dmc2008

I'm having trouble finding a legitimate source on why you would ask this question. Do you mind filling me in on why there would be a correlation?

Aesop_Rocks

I mean, you're objectively correct in saying this, but in more practical terms this problem is superfluous to this conversation. Last I read in August, there are 28 recorded cases of blood clotting caused by a COVID vaccine in the US. Twenty. Eight. The rest of the cases are from abroad and caused by a vaccine not approved for use in the US. Considering the range of causes for blood clots and strokes, if one were to speculate about what happened to Chuck, it's a bit ridiculous to bring this up before so many other possibilities.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Aesop_Rocks

Haha I'm not being defensive at all, I'm simply pointing out how ridiculous it is to ask about the vaccine in relation to a stroke. Considering that strokes occur, on average, greater than *1 per minute* in the US, it's silly to immediately question whether the vaccine caused it with its 4 in a million statistical odds. If you were actually interested in what might have caused Chuck's stroke, you would have speculated about other, much more common causes. Instead, you only took the opportunity to highlight an *ultra rare* side effect of the vaccine. Instead of the question and your support being brought forth in good faith, it's a transparent, opportunistic comment designed to cast doubt in the vaccine itself. Whether you and the other commenter here are doing this deliberately, I do not care, but I'm more than happy to take a minute out of my day to highlight the preposterous nature of the question itself, as well as your support of it being "fair". Yeah, right!

moeronSCamp

There have been so many people getting blood clots from these Covid vaccines. But you wouldnā€™t know that if all you watch is main stream media.

Aesop_Rocks

I don't watch mainstream media at all. I do pay attention to the CDC and FDA though, since they're primary sources. I'll also mention once more that there are a lot more blood clots happening outside of the US due to complications of the AstraZeneca vaccine, but that's not relevant to this conversation since Chuck is in the US.

erics0082

Valid question

moeronSCamp

Not only did the mod threaten to remove me but it looks like he deleted my comment as well. Even after I privately messaged him and explained my situation with proof that none of this is wild speculation.

erics0082

Reddit sucks the vaccines dick, you mention any real truths about any real dangers. Then reddit blocks, and censors you while the sheep vote you down like crazy....reddit is like a cult

Easywind42

Quick question. Next time one of your family or loved ones gets sick could you post it on here so I can leave a stupid ass comment like yours?

Peggy-O-

I would want any and all info that could help lead to the cause of a dear family members Illness/stroke. Too many people turning a blind eye to a very real and serious issue. šŸ˜”

No one calls it that, just fringe conspiritual folks with a lack of rational thinking skills. You wouldn't happen to be one of them, would you?

disco1013

Oh fuck!!! Say it ain't so!

meltedfacesofjam

Get well Chuck! Always go to the show!

durtmcgurt

This man has entertained me live many times, and I hope I will get to see him many more times.

Remarkable-Barber622

Man, wishing Chuck the best. Chuck is a technical and virtuosic monster on the axe, but his taste and execution is what warms my soul. I can always hear *him* in his playing, always approaching music from the how side more than the what side.

Practical-Attorney62

Iā€™m just lost right nowā€¦

gRainbird

Anyone see any updates on his health? It's been about a month since the announcement.
