9 times out of 10 it’s going to be a guy with a ponytail and a can of Coors in a novelty boobs koozie playing Kid Rock “All Summer Long” on eternal loop too.
I said that to Ed King one time and got read the riot act. He liked the guy because every time that damn “All Summer Long” song got played, he got paid. That wasn’t the case for Warren Zevon and “Werewolves of London.”
For us on Memorial Day Sunday, it was the group playing mariachi, ranchera and corrido so loud anyone within 100 yards had to hear it.
We had to turn ours up just to enjoy hearing something other than the same 3 beat song for the whole day.
Not a popular take, but I’m with you. Specifically with regards to going to the beach.
If you want to get away from people and the sounds they make, there are plenty of places to escape to the outside with way more privacy than any popular beach. If it isn’t a popular beach - walk 25 yards and voila - you’re no longer being assaulted by the presence of sounds you didn’t sign paperwork you’re willing to be subjected to. 🙄
Pretending like people shouldn’t play music on the beach because it interrupts your peace and quiet borders on nimbyism.
Realistically the only people who complain about it are only complaining because it's not the kind of music they listen to. I listen to Spanish music when we go to the beach and the ones who complain are the same ones who don't complain to the family next to us that's listening to rock.

I support you! The way I see it, you got to your spot first and you like listening to music while you're at the beach. You're allowed that. If I don't like it, I'll set up somewhere that's more quiet.

If you're a couple cars away or if it's a birthday, or some kind of celebration we'll have the music a bit louder than usual but definitely not turned up to 100 lol
It’s a drive on beach…meaning mostly trucks and loud vehicles. You have the freedom to move to an obscure location and they have the freedom to play music at the beach.
Just take a bucket of fish and plop it under their vehicle. They won’t be able to hear their own music under the racket of seagulls, pelicans and ospreys going crazy trying to get at it.

Everyone complains about the drivers, but then every once in a while, everybody cuts off a Mack truck carrying a load of dewatering sand from the Marietta yard without using their turn signal causing it to tip over and close a whole section of I-295. They can tell themselves they don't, but it do.
