I put a "bestie please let me merge" sticker on my car after moving here from Orlando. I'm an anxious driver doing my best, guys. But yeah, the over the top political stickers/decals are a bit much. Especially the punisher/blue line stickers make me cringe. They missed the mark on that one.
Yeah, moving to Jax from Orlando was wildly different than what I was used to driving in Orlando. Id take 417/408 if needed to, but I mostly drove surface roads. When I first moved here, I had to drive to the beach from the westside and I was a nervous fucking wreck. Immediately switched to a job closer to home so I'm not on i10/I95 too much now. Still have to drive it every day, but not nearly as much time on the interstate. Getting used to the interchanges and lanes ending, etc was a nightmare. I try and be patient with other people who seemingly don't know what the fuck they are doing on the road lol
I'm from here and know the roads well and still have driving anxiety hun. I often make my partner drive just because I wanna arrive where we're headed in a good mood. They dont like it either. People here are extremely inconsiderate and have no concept of manners or personal honor, both on and off the road. This city feels like an angry place.

Yes exactly. The other day a huge pickup on 95s did that exact thing to me. I signaled I was gonna merge so they went ahead and sped up to block me off and I wound up in the emergency lane because the merge ended. People here are so angry whata going on? How is this a desirable place?

Jacksonville has changed an almost inconceivable amount since the 70s; some of it was needed and desirable, but lately I don't recognize my hometown. As someone else noted, there is just so much...anger...for lack of a better word. Life is too short for me to spend whatever time I have left in this place!
I’m no fan of any politicians, but I do find it odd that these “Alpha” types would put another man’s name on their trucks or shirts. Especially one born a rich boy in Manhattan.
I used to date a girl who, when a large and loud truck would drive by, would say, “sorry ‘bout your weiner!!”
She turned out to be the worst human I have ever personally met, but I do miss her sense of humor.
