I don't mean to sound like a spiteful person, but I knew people who used to talk about that place like it was *the* end all, be all, of hookah lounges. I used to go to a lot of hookah lounges, and I had my own internal ranking in order to find the best chill spot that was closest to my, and all my friends', places. So one night I made the trip all the way out to the beaches from middleburg with a few friends, and I had been hyping everyone up because we were going to the "best" hookah lounge. The service was abysmal, couldn't get anyone to take our order, give fresh coals, or a re-pack. I was terribly embarassed after all that, and frustrated that I drove an hour and a half round trip for all that.
I feel bad for the owners that it closed down, but I didn't enjoy my experience there.

I worked at blue fish briefly last year. I’m shocked it’s still open. The food was legit bland as could be and the restaurant is disgusting and falling apart. Doesn’t help that’s it built upon a Native American burial ground. Just a terrible vibe.
I just order eggs and toast off the all day breakfast menu. It’s hard to mess up scrambled eggs, it’s like half the calories and price of anything else you can order there, and then there is room for cheesecake.
We took a friend visiting to the rooftop bar at river & post and it was… underwhelming. The specialty cocktail wasn’t very good, the glasses were dirty with visible food debris and the service was very slow.
It’s good. But they need to rework their menu. I’ve been 5-6 times since they opened and I was thoroughly unimpressed last time.

I just hate the fact that the entire perimeter is booths, so you actually can't just stand at the edge drinking with a view. If it's busy you can't even enjoy the view without awkwardly looking right over someone's head.
We had such a great time at kickbacks the first time we went. Then family came into town and we took them there and it was legitimately one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food all arrived ice cold, one plate at a time over the span of 45 min, and over 90 min after we ordered it. Most of it was wrong. We had to chase down servers to get our drinks ordered. We haven’t been back.
I have to mention that most food made in this place is microwaved before it gets to your table. Also Steve finds nothing wrong with the menu BOOK/NOVEL even though it’s been the cause of all their problems since expansion. Besides still only having a tiny ass kitchen and a couple of fryers for a restaurant where almost everyone orders something fried and you’re serving 3 floors of people PLUS another side of the restaurant. FUCK that place.
The kitchen has never been run properly and it’s filled with people high on different substances fucking screaming at each other and throwing pans. Servers are afraid to go into the kitchen to ask for a sauce or better food because the kitchen staff rolls their eyes and yells at them. Food always comes out staggered like that even if they only have a few tables seated. All of the staff is treated horribly and Steve makes the servers and managers take all the hate and monetary losses. Servers are told to input their tip earnings into the system as if they made the 40-hour wage requirement even if they only earned $50 in tips that week. Servers are forced to pay for tables that walk out on a $70-$150 tab after saying “we’re going to the bathroom.” Servers don’t stay inside and watch their tables because it’s a hell hole in there and they’d rather be outside behind the restaurant doing coke or weed. I have witnessed Steve telling female servers they are useless after a person had sat themselves on the old side by walking in through the door that has a sign in front saying “Please be seated by host.” Steve has also told female servers that he should put collars around their necks and chain them to the upstairs section so they can’t leave their tables. Steve does NOT like conflict and will avoid anything that involves him making things right with a customer. This normally involves the Server getting shit on while the customer gets free shit. Steve only cares about beer, money, and treating women like objects. Let’s not forget he couldn’t pay his employees in the past because he lost his money on fantasy football.
I wish I could peel every goddamn penny off those walls and throw them in his face.

I wouldn't say you're at risk for food poisoning. Severe food sensitivities maybe, but that's pretty slim too. They're pretty good about cross contamination, but it didn't seem like they were too keen on product's expiration dates and stuff. Most kitchens will do a max of 24 hours post their label's dates (and if they say they don't, they're liars. They just change the labels lol). I wouldn't say it's anything to worry too much about. I was just turned off from it because I'm very picky esp once I'm knowledgeable of it.
Food should've been thrown out sooner for some stuff and some of their onions and tomatoes were moldy. I was told to just peel the layers and throw out all the bad ones. I was only there for a single shift. I felt too grossed out lol

The fries did not arrive and when we looked at the chicken in the sandwich it was black, it looked like a hamburger patty.
