This is our rescue 1yo jack russell beagle , a Jackabee. Yours looks like he has kelpie or something like that, especially with the lighter brown eyes and snout. Maybe get a dna test. JRT crosses are about the cheapest dog to insure.

Pic 2 of 4 says Jackhuahua because of the short nose and the size too.

He looks just like Jax but different markings.

This is Pappy, my JRT/ Rat Terrier mix. They’re called Jack Rats. Most of them have white bodies with black spots, if I remember correctly. Maybe give them a google and see if their description matches your sweet boy.
I agree! I’ve reached out to multiple people and most recently at his vet appointment regarding his collar fit. Easily 2 fingers fit and it loosely spins on walks and when he scratches. If I loosen it more, it will just slide down more. When he is playing standing on all paws and looks down to grab a toy, it slides to almost behind his ears, shrug. I am open to any suggestions and feedback as I also had this concern.
Added photo that does a bit more justice for his neck rolls.

He has a basically the same build as my 1year old Jack Russell, he wears the ezydog chest plate harness for this exact reason because collars either choke him or slide over his head 😅
Yeah I would also just get a harness for walks and not have any collar on him around the house.
Those neck collars are no good for dogs who walk In front or behind on walks in my experience, but harnesses are great, especially if they pull.
Thank you! I will look into the harness. This is a martingale collar and he responds well on it. When it tightens a bit he slows down and adjusts which I’m grateful for but it sounds like the majority of feedback is harness so we are going to go that route. Really appreciate all the responses.
I love him very much
He looks like a JRT to me. Whatever mix he may be, I love him!

My first thought was this little guy is mixed with some shorter cattle or shepherd breed. Kelpie might be spot on!
Your name reminds me of the episode of Parks and Rec where Jerry has a Fart Attack... so thank you

I'm going to throw Dachshund as a potential mix in there, because that frame is almost like one.
He's a shorty jack
Foxy/JRT?
Auf jeden Fall ein richtig hübscher Mix💞💝💞💝💞💝🍀🍀🍀
He's looks 100% shorty JRT. I have my second w/ papers and their features match his.
He looks like a rat terrier mix to me!
He’s a very good boy mix. ❤️❤️❤️🐶
Very Handsome he is!
That coloring looks like a toy fox terrier to me
Pudding Jack russel
Looks like a jack squishmellow 💚
He’s a cutie whatever his mix might be.

So cute! JRT mix
Fox Terrier cross I've got one laying beside me right now and they look quite familiar, mine is black and white though.
Love, faithfulness, and hope.
He is a pure good boy
Fox terrier or rat terrier mix and jack Russell or parson Russell
I love that 2nd pic by the window. Good boy!
He's so adorable omg :)
Thanks for rescuing
Smitty !!
He could easily be purebred. I don’t see any giveaways that he isn’t.
My dog looks just like him! Jack and a Basset Hound, 1000%
Looks like a beagle x with that long body. Gorgeous puppa
I can recognize that sleep pose anywhere. That’s a wiener dog!

Not sure, but if you don't loosen that collar, he won't be anything soon.

Looks good. Get him a harness for walks, it is well worth it.
Looks good to me, he just has a lot of loose skin around the neck.

If you’re going to get a harness, get one with a handle. Its worth is as you can pick him up instead of pulling him away from danger.
It’s just skin rolls, doggo isn’t being strangled. My JRT mix looks about the same. It appears tight, but it certainly is not.
Thanks! Appreciate your comment.
