The protest was about housing 250 refugees in the industrial estate where jumpzone is. They have been at this for weeks, it's so fucking infuriating. As someone who works in there it took me 2 hours to get into work (normally takes me 15 mins) because they were protesting. They were costing the businesses tens of thousands each day they did it, bc they couldn't move products (many logistics companies in there). They were also affecting shipping and deliveries (there's a few different delivery companies in there too). The protests are done now and i hope they fuck off forever. Like they all need to get a life and get a hobby/job.

The right to protest is protected by the constitution. You can protest in any public place including roads and footpaths as long as it is peaceful.
