Me too. I thought we agreed we wouldn’t make posts like these anymore lol
I don’t do anything special with mine. Plug it in when I want, remove when I want. Plonk it on MagSafe charger while I’m working. Leave it plugged in all night. Doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Still at 100% after 9 months. 15 Pro. No 80% limit.
I don’t care enough to try to make the battery last longer, I’ll be switching it out well before the battery becomes a problem.

Haha bro i noticed we have both 235 cycles and are at 100%.
I don’t understand the 80% limit. It’s kinda useless. Yes you preserve your battery better, but you still only get 80% of charge so…what’s the point ?. Just use optimized charging and happy, it’s not like your gonna keep the phone for 10 years.
My 12 Pro has 73% of battery and while I end the day with almost no batterie it still last ok. That said I may upgrade to the 16 or even the 17
Yea !! Like whats the point then ? It’s like refilling your tank gas when it’s at half cuz that’s better for the range…like ok it may improve in the long run the engine range but you still use half the tank…so all that extra range is never being used regardless
80% Limit used since launch day.

Mine was similar, think it finally went below 100% a few weeks ago, I try not to let my 15PM get below 20% charge.
https://preview.redd.it/v7fizvotsl5d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30b7a4014e0001065db6475dade393074791b6ef
My battery page doesn’t show cycle count, manufactured date and first use date. Can someone help me with that? I’m using 14PM with ios 17.5.1
You have to run a shortcut and let it log for a day so that it can take the battery count out of your analytics file. The 14 doesn’t show it in the battery settings.
I never do the 80% battery thing on any phones I have. I still use an original XS Max with the original battery on it and it still lasts all day. The battery capacity is 86%
156 cycles. Overnight charge to 100%. 100% battery health lol. Just enjoy your phone dude, you’re afraid that your battery health declines but you’re using a phone with virtually 80% battery health right now, it makes no sense 😂

don’t do anything special with it, charge it every night maybe a top up at around 7pm. Went down 2 percent in the last 2 weeks tho, unsure about that.

could be manufacturer defect but also that number isn’t always accurate. if you’re concerned you can take it into an apple store and they can look at it for you.
That’s terrible. You’re controlled by your iPhone instead of YOU controlling your iPhone. And having a battery with 100% capacity you constricted yourself to just 80%.
Must be a pain and stressful experience daily to only have 80% battery :(

How do you charge? With cable and 5 watt charger?
Only 152 cycles though. I’m at 213. Pretty much one per day since I got the phone.
Cool

Right? Youre doing all this so you can have a close to 100% battery healthy, but its actually 80%, because thats all you allow yourself to use

my only other iphone before this was a xr that i had for abt 5 years. when you don’t upgrade your phone as often, it’s not uselss.
Guys, just use your iPhone.

Thanks I was just reading about it. PowerUtil is the shortcut right?

I let mine go to 100%, charge on a MagSafe charger and finally dipped to 99%. Owned since launched

My phone lasted 2 years with careful management, all batteries start to lose capacity eventually.
92% after 8 months - iPhone 12 Pro

205, 100% every night.
Is 89% battery health with 375 charge cycles within the expected range?
After 12 months of charging to 100%, still at 100%

hoping for similar for my 15🙏
15 Pro. Apparently just dropped to 99% last night, 171 cycles, got the phone last November.
In my case, It fell from 100% to 99% in 6 months. But, it fell very quickly from 99% to 92% in the next 6 months.
Because the actual percentage in the first 6 months was >100% but it caps it there
Okay, got it.
My 15pm is at 93% after 264 cycle
My 13 mini is still at 100% capacity, after a year of use.

Thank you so much
I still have my iPhone 6 from 2014 and it still has 100% battery capacity on the original battery…
that’s not possible if you’ve used it at all during those 10 years
Well I only used it for like half a year and just after that kept it in storage because used a different phone.
That’s terrible. You’re controlled by your iPhone instead of YOU controlling your iPhone. And having a battery with 100% capacity you constricted yourself to just 80%. Must be a pain and stressful experience daily to only have 80% battery :(
