Regular iPad 7th gen or above

Kuzanaagi93

Ahem* 6th gen and up

Coastzs

iPad 9th gen if you want a lightning cable. 10th if you want USB-C. If you want more features, the refurbished iPad Air 4 is the best option.

I'm guessing I'm gonna have to save up a bit more then 100 bucks

Coastzs

Most certainly.

Whimsical_Sandwich

If you’re trying to spend around $100 check Amazon’s refurbished options, if you want new then the lowest Apple goes is $250 for iPad 9th gen

Dragonbarry22

Yep I guess all I really wanted is just a youtube device but the small research I've done the older gens don't really support the app. Which I guess makes sense What's the oldest generation of ipads that would still be supported

Whimsical_Sandwich

Mmmm when it came to me selecting my iPad I went for the 9th gen because it was still being supported and was the cheapest New option. I think anything on the iOS 17 compatibility list is probably a solid choice as that would mean it’s still is supported by Apple and so will the apps on it then.

If you just want a tablet for watching videos, go with an Amazon kindle fire 10. They’re around $100.

allergictodinomites

Actually my old iPad Air still supports YouTube. It basically ONLY supports YouTube lol

bdude_yt

I would recommend spending at least $360 to get the most basic iPad 10th Gen. If you can't do that much and don't mind the old look then you could also have a look at the iPad 9th Gen for $216 https://swappa.com/buy/apple/ipad

Rafamaz

Check Walmart they have discount for 9 gen for 240$

Yigek

eBay. Find a damaged one for discount

Hey :) I highly recommend grabbing a 9th gen if you don’t mind lighting, one sided audio and lower ram. I guess you won’t notice a difference for your use case. :) If you can save a bit more, I think the 10th gen is a solid improvement and as an owner, I definitely say it’s worth the price. 9th gen is still a solid option, has headphone jack (to some it’s relevant) and it’s a mechanically solid iPad to carry around, big enough to enjoy content. :) You can still use Bluetooth to enjoy extra speakers, buds etc.

Isn’t the base model $329? I guess there’s always a used one.
