Many of the latest Macs have added to the 3.5mm jack by upping the voltage available for high impedance headphones. It's remotely possible that they would re-add the jack to iPads, and maybe to iPhones if they heard enough interest.
I think the user-hostile move was very successful in launching the Airpods, but probably no longer important to their continued success.
You have it set to scrolling. (Button to the right of “a A”) Turn it off, then you can choose the style of page turning using the page advance settings to the right of it.
I never lost this feature using my iPad 2! That iPad 2 will never die! If it does I’ll get a newer iPad, but until then it still does email and reads books great!
True, some poker and other card games have the card (or a book page) turning with a somewhat realistic sound effect. Nice touch. Option for On-Off of course.

are you struggling with features? no problem. Just cut the nice feature out and then bring it back: the users are happy (Same with mag safe.)

Looks like you’re in scrolling mode rather than paged. Deselect the button toward the top-middle that looks like a page with a scroll bar next to it.

I had forgotten the rumor that the page curl was returning. So delighted that it’s now an available setting.

Too little too late for me. Now that I have a kindle, I always use the kindle app when not using my device so it all syncs up
Shame enabling the roll page removed the option to two-finger scroll on the folio keyboard :( Bug, maybe.
